Includes a very rudimentary AI for Blood Elves, it's not good, but it's there as with last time.
On AIs, the original 4 races have their AIs updated as well as their heroes learning spells properly in v1.31, thanks to kizonrus' AIs in this topic! Warcraft 3 AI Fix (Use Hero Spells)

Chaos Orcs in action

Aaaand random weird fun with some races.

Random info time!
Blood Elves take a bit from their playable state in the campaign, as well a number of things from World of Warcraft, add in lots of mana and blood and you have Blood Elves!....ish. Bit of a weird way to say it. All organic units have mana which can in turn just make them feedback bait for anyone who can steal it, although, you can also learn Absorb Mana for your casters which in turn gives a near endless pool of mana in some situations!

Stormwind Humans are mostly the same as Warcraft 1 and 2 mixed into one, this is mostly evident in their spells and some techtree specifics. By the Church they have a lot of Healing options, and by the Mage Tower they have the devastating Mage unit, they also possess the Skyship, a powerful aerial unit but it can only attack grounded units and is essentially helpless in an aerial battle.

Chaos Orcs, think Mannoroth-blood Orcs in the Grom level in the Orc campaign, I'm separating them from Fel Orcs in that Fel Orcs are the Outland ones with mutations and spikes on their backs while Chaos Orcs are basically just red orcs; they're also based a bit around Warcraft II's techtree.

Chaos Orc units themselves have ZERO regeneration but are really bloody tanky (Only real exceptions are items and the Doom Seer's ultimate Armageddon Ward), the Ogre and Forest Troll you see up there can regenerate since they're not corrupted, in fact the Troll has an upgrade for a super regeneration ability to offset their peasant-level HP. Chaos Orcs as a race also do not have any natural healing abilities like healing wards or what have you, instead they can learn an upgrade that heals when killing things, even one of their own (so you can sacrifice someone who's about to die anyway to sustain everyone else)

Demons excel at dominating by land, and aren't really that great at aerial attacks, they can fight back of course, but aside from that it's not so great.

Naga are... Well, an expanded version of the Campaign's Naga, Summoner and Royal Guard are reworked, for example, the Royal Guard is now an 'upgrade monster' instead of starting overpowered, you need to upgrade a bunch of stuff to actually get it powerful.

Well, it's the update after the initial 'secret', so let's introduce our new friends shall we?
Meet the Conglomeration of cReeps and Enemies Everywhere Practising vengeance, or CREEP. Creeps are sick of everyone killing them for gold, items and experience, so now it's time for them to fight back! Now YOU'RE the fodder.

CREEP excels at massing large numbers and, has the potential to immediately replenish their ranks after failed assaults due to them relying on hiring their units instead of training them, this however means they start off slowly. CREEP also gives off bounties upon being killed, just like normal creeps so don't get too ahead of yourself if you know you can't win. You may just give the enemy a much bigger advantage than anticipated.

CREEP themselves have no heroes, but if a tavern is present may still hire those heroes during your tier 2 (Centaur Tent plays the part of an Altar for these purposes, aside from that it just lets you hire Centaurs)

Currently they have a variety of Gnolls, Harpies, Centaurs and Dark Trolls (may add more buildings for more), they cannot research upgrades nor do they have any real self-defense (Will maybe change this at some point), they rely on pure numbers.

Both Corrupted Night Elves and Bronzebeard Dwarves are now playable! Yay! Corrupted are Night Elf 80% and Dwarves are Human 70%
Random optimisations to a few random triggers, for example, the Stormwind Skyship trigger denoting if they have the turret upgrade.
Chaos Orcs' Doom Seer and Maiden of Discord are now classified as Unholy Beings.


Apparently somewhere along the line the Chaos Orcs' Troll Axethrower went missing, which already sucks in itself but AI's too dumb to just try to build around it so it makes them useless.


Kul'tiras Cataphract now has proper icon. Oops.
Kul'tiras Inn now has the Night's Rest ability, allowing units to regenerate in return for putting them to sleep.
Stormwind Human's Cleric now has Healing on autocast upon being trained up.
Stormwind Human's Commander's Rallying Cry ability will now scale with your levels properly. oops.
All previous maps are playable with current version!


A bit more a minor change, but all new race AIs will only ever train one hero if difficulty is set to Easy, just like the original four races.
The CREEP AI will now just throw whatever units it has every few minutes, instead of waiting for Gnoll Wardens that may never be hired.
Kul'tiras is now added as a new playable race! They can be played by using Human and setting Handicaps to 70%!


Stormwind AI actually uses Grand Justiciars properly For really reals this time. A few upgrades are done differently as well so there's less downtime when they reach later points.
Naga has two new upgrades, Frenzied Mur'guls and Shatter.
Naga Gorgon's Petrify now makes the target takes 1.5x damage while stunned, in addition it can now be used on buildings (which is weird since it stuns by looking into their eyes. Hm...).
Demon Mo'arg Overlord's Wild Slam coding fixed up a bit. (i forget if it'll actually change anything, but noting anyway)
Blood Elf Hawkstrider Knight's Severing Stride trigger fixes! A condition and action referenced the wrong unit, oops.


Stormwind AI updated-- Two Chevaliers and two Farmsteads are trained/built earlier, mostly to make things move along a bit quicker.
On Stormwind AI, not sure when or how, but for the uploaded version apparently it wasn't imported. It is now.
Stormwind Chevalier now has Justiciar and Grand Justiciar as Dependancy equivalents, so AIs actually use them. Oops.
Blood Elf unit/upgrade descriptions and such seem to have had traces and mentions of things that have since been removed, the ones I've found have been fixed, oops!
Blood Elf Champion's Divine Aegis upgrade placement shifted down.
Blood Elf Marksmanship upgrade mentioned Pegasus Knight instead of Pegasus Rider. Innocent enough... until you notice Pegasus 'Knight' is a Human unit. Oops! That's fixed.


Version numbering redone, First digit is for overhauls and huge changes, second is for new races, third is for fixes and misc changes.
Stormwind Humans added! Can be played by setting handicap as Human to 80%!
A number of lesser changes and fixes for the other races, but apparently I didn't write them down so I forgot. Oops.


Blood Elf Priest damage changed to 8-13, Unarmoured to Small Armour, 290 HP > 240 HP, 200 MP > 250 MP
Blood Elf Priest's Life Drain is now recieved upon upgrading with Blood Heal (the whole reason it's a thing is to make the heal less suicide, after all.)
Blood Elf Sorceress damage changed to 11-16, 325 HP > 270 HP, 200 MP > 250 MP
Blood Elf Ballista damage changed to 56-69, 300 HP > 380 HP
Chaos Orc Onager damage changed to 82-102, 425 HP > 400 HP
Chaos Orc Maiden of Discord's Flame Bomb is now quite a bit less 'can't see a thing'.
CREEP AI spawn optimisations.


Blood Elf AI updated, now they're slightly less dumb.
Blood Elf Hawkstrider Knight hp -100, food -1, armour -1, level +1, damage +1 and now requires Chateau and Arcane Vault (Tier 2 instead of 3)
Blood Elf Cleave renamed to Severing Stride and reworked, now it does a flat 10 damage cleave when at 80% HP or more.
Blood Elf Guard Tower is now an Impaling Tower, essetially a Ballista in a tower-- since it mostly does the work of Guard Tower and Cannon Tower in one, the Cannon Tower has been removed.
Blood Elf Arcane Tower is now Mana-seeking Tower, does near the same thing, but is a bit weaker and has a bouncing feedback.
Blood Elf Priest's Inner Fire is now Inner Will (A more balanced version of Inner Fire, 30% damage, 3 armour.)
Blood Elf Priest now has the Glimmer of Light ability-- this lets them actually do their healing thing without upgrading, although it has a decent cooldown to it (25 HP to all in range, 30 mana cost, 15 second cooldown), in return for this Blood Pact upgrade no longer affects Priests.
Blood Elf Priest's training description has been fixed.
Blood Elf Sorceress Invisibility replaced with Mass Dispel.
Blood Elf Farstrider's Crimson Arrow now properly takes HP away upon use, no more cheating AI (or just using manually without the autocast). Along with this, like the Priest's Blood Heal can kill by overuse.
Blood Elf Champion's Holy Armour renamed to Divine Aegis, also reduces 12 damage instead of 14, but also blocks 7 more damage if over 80% to a minimum of 2 damage (thus making it a little less Hardened Skin). Along with that their HP was changed to 800 HP from 885, and damage reduced by 3.
Blood Elf Swordsmen, Blood Knight Initiates and Champions have a new Holy Armour skill, which makes damage against them be divided into 25% of it being mana damage, so now they're a little less just being feedback bait. (Blood Elves may have too many upgrades huh.)
Blood Elf Marksmanship upgrade no longer affects Dragonhawk Rider (i don't even remember why i had it affect this guy to start with... was probably before Pegasus Rider was added.)
Chaos Orcs' Cannon Tower is now Bombardier Tower, it's slower but does more damage and has more splash range.
Chaos Orc tower descriptions no longer mention Human upgrades, oops.
Chaos Orc AI updated a bit, now they just won't build all the towers ever.
Demon Adrammelech Toxophilite's Demon Eyes' True Sight now only tracks for 300 range instead of 900.
Naga Summoner's Watery Minion removed-- it has been replaced with the Siren's Parasite ability keeping its role as a summoner in-tact without being a bit weird, in the place of Parasite for Siren...
Naga Siren has a new ability in Healing Ballad, it increases regeneration of target units by 300% (I seem to have given Naga a lot of regeneration and no straight up heals, huh. Though this also does make the name of 'Siren' fit more.)
Naga AI updated a bit, now they'll actually harvest gold properly and tier 3 pushed back a bit so they can build up a bit more, along with that less tower spam thing again.
A lot of Human units overhauled, at least in terms of aesthetic appearances, in terms of gameplay they're all exactly the same, this is mostly just to keep Human being Human (so no more Dragonhawk Rider and 95% of the Dwarf units are gone, since I wanted to do them as a separate race too, the tank and copter stay as is since the Dwarves will use the RoC versions.)


100% Random is now a 'true' random, where it selects out of all 9 races instead of the usual 4.
CREEP (The secret race) has an AI.

Update made it so you 'only' choose random, else you'd just have sheep and a loss, that's fixed.

Blood Elf Farstrider's damage changed to 17-22 (from 16-18) HP downed to 245 (from 310)
Blood Elf Abode has a new ability-- Mana Surge. This allows it to surge mana every 10 seconds which restores 10 mana for up to 5 in range.
Blood Elves now only regenerate HP during the day as a counterpart to Night Elves only regenerating at night. With that, the Sunstone item now appears in the Blood Elf Arcane Vault replacing the Mechanical Critter.
Naga Mur'gul Reaver can no longer repair, however, buildings naturally regenerate at a decent pace and Coral Beds augement this regeneration by their Coral Reef ability.


Blood Elf AI updated a bit, they'll expand and upgrade to tier 2 earlier-- may still be redone though.
Armageddon Ward's tooltips fixed.
Light Heal's icon changed around.
Heretic Hollow's Dark Summoning now summons 2 units instead of 4.
Blood Elf Absorb Mana upgrade shifted to be under Sorceress.
Blood Elf Phoenix Fire and Cloud upgrades should now be placed properly.
Soulstone now mentions how long it lasts for.
Demon Fel Hunter's Magical Hunger halved (5 feedback from 10) and attack speed lessened.
Arcane Golem now costs 5 food from 4.
Drown the Weak buff's graphical effect now exists.
Paradigm Shift now actually has splash damage.
Mind Bomb's placement upon setting to autocast fixed.
The Hunt now does its damage properly
Phoenixbolt's learn tooltip fixed.
Scent of Blood's learn tooltip fixed.
Torrential Flame Aura buff's tooltip fixed.
Sabotage Aura's speed reduction reduced to 15/30/45% from 20/40/60%.
Flame Bomb's tooltips fixed.
Light's Reckoning fixed.
Fluctuating Destiny had a small tooltip grammatical error fixed.
Naga Drench now does no extra damage but, the slow lasts longer and has a 3 second cooldown.
Demon Essence Drain's cooldown increased by 10 seconds.
Pentagram Aura and Torrential Flame Aura work now. Oops?


Demon Adrammelech Toxophilite's proper names fixed up, now it will randomly choose names instead of always being the same one.
Chaos Orc AI added.
Demon AI added.
Chaos Orcs' Dragon Roost should now have a proper model. Oops.
Demon Building birth animation model should show up now. Oops.


Naga AI added.
Blood Elf Farstrider's Crimson Arrow now has its own missile instead of just Searing Arrow.



Fixed the Ephemeral Blaze buff description.
Fixed the Drain Mana descriptions so it says Pyrecaster instead of Blood Mage.
Naga Champion's Venom Swipe now has a proper description when being learned.
Maiden of Discord Scorescreen Icon fixed.

Generally, it's enough to be approved but needs polish and getting away from recycling Warcraft III original melee content as much as possible. Also, some bug fixing is in order, nothing game breaking/crashing though. Approved. If you want more...

  1. Blood Elf towers are human copies.
  2. Pheonix Fire upgrade should be under the corresponding unit; likewise Cloud.
  3. Crimson Arrows works even when not autocast, the archer loses HP.
  4. Units like the Pegasus Rider and Phoenix seem imbalaced, too strong.
  5. Absorb Mana needs a proper position in the Arcane Sanctum.
  6. Hawkstriders are too fast. They also have Cleaving attack. Their role is basically that of the Champion. These two units pretty much replace each other.
  7. Ballista is pretty much a Glaive Thrower copy.
  8. Arcane Golems might be too strong for the food they require. They can attack units too, not just buildings unlike the Steam Engine.
  9. Generally the blood elves have Warcraft III based stuff. Bit more custom/triggered spells would be funner.
  10. Chaos attack type is controversial as it deals full damage to all types of armour including fortified.
  11. Orb illusions deal 1k% damage of the hero who has the orb?
  12. Onager=Demolisher.
  13. Brutal Whelp=Troll Bat Rider.
  14. The problem with Whirlwind is that the caster needs to channel unlike the original spell.
  15. Mortal Touch has the same hotkey as Mortal Coil. Also, Mortal Coil stuns.
  16. The orcs are better creativewise than the elves.
  17. In what harvesting is concerned, every faction/race does it the same though.
  18. Fel Hunters are very dangerous in the early game as they can easily deplete heroes of mana. They come in two, attack and move very fast.
  19. Maybe Heretic Hollows should summon less units just in case they won't be abused for evasive tactics which basically renders this faction from needing to buy Scrolls of Town Portal.
  20. Orb of Kil'jaeden=Orb of Fire.
  21. Demo workers play their build animation constantly since they don't have a summon animation like the Acolytes.
  22. I think you need to be more creative with towers for factions.
  23. Felguard also has Cleaving Attack? That makes the elf lancer a bit the same thing.
  24. Firebat=Troll Bat Rider and that chaos orc dragon, with some exceptions.
  25. Cripple is also found on the Orc Warlock.
  26. Essence Drain doesn't require mana.
  27. Many generic renamed Warcraft III spells in the demon faction.
  28. Naga idle unit icon looks like a Wisp instead of the Mur'gul Slave.
  29. I can't tell if naga units can walk over water on this map but I assume so since some of them have the Submerge ability. This is a balance issue.
  30. Watery Minion and Parasite are pretty much the same thing. Also it doesn't make sense to raise living out of the dead.
  31. Petrify is just a regular no damage Firebolt.
  32. Drench=Cold Arrows, even the buff belongs to it.
  33. Light Heal has Heal's icon.
  34. Light's Reckoning doesn't seem to do anything. Doesn't work on sleeping neutral units.
  35. Flamestrike is cast before the meteor hits.
  36. Hamstring Shot=Shadow Strike. You should try making your own spells than renaming original ones. At least modify them via triggering.
  37. Two heroes with similar spells, the Mirror Image and speed.
  38. Flame Bomb blocks vision too much.
  39. Landmines say Statis Trap in their expiring timer. Similarly another such spell says so but I forgot which one.
  40. Sabotage Aura doesn't work. Nothing appears or affects the enemy. Also, those percentages are worrying.
  41. Clouds have shadows. Looks weird.
  42. Armageddon Ward kept the 4th levels damage improvements from Rokhan's Serpent Ward in the spell description.
  43. Torrential Flame aura buff has the Devotion Aura description. The spell doesn't seem to work. Also, everyone having Immolation is quite overwhelming.
  44. I don't know about resurrecting heroes with Soulstone. I think it shouldn't instantly revive, at least not heroes.
  45. Not sure it's a good idea to have a hero with permanent True Sight.
  46. Soultsone doesn't say how much it lasts.
  47. Pentagram Aura doesn't seem to work.
  48. Mind Bomb becomes the Q spell when autocast.
  49. Drown the Weak doesn't create any FX.

Thanks for the review! I'll see what I can do when I can where I can, most of the copy-paste from original stuff is just due to how much I suck at coming up with ideas. If anyone has ideas for how to change things about I'd love trying them out and such! ... i also have no sense of balancing at all so apologies for all of that. oops.

2. Aren't they where they should be? They were before adding Pegasus Rider. Hmmmm.
3. I've been trying to get Crimson Arrows to work well for a while now. Arrow abilities are really weird to get working properly.
4. Are they? I'll see about playing around with some numbers, then!
5. Maybe I'll pop it under Sorceress. Bit weird to think of where to put it if it works for all the casters.
6. We shall see if I can of something for them!
8. Perhaps 5 food would be better then?
11. ....should be the other way around where they take 1000% damage and deal none. Oops.
14. I haven't played Warcraft II in years, it wasn't channeled there?
15. Mortal Coil shouldn't actually stun, should just be there for damage checking. Oh dear.

You can try asking about it in Idea Factory show your map, explain the factions.
i also have no sense of balancing at all so apologies for all of that. oops.
Just, mirror them at first and then simply differentiate units. One has immolation that means 10 damage per sec more. The other one should have say a spell that deals 50 damage and has a cooldown of 5-10 seconds or so. Just an example.
You can simulate balance by testing units and armies against each other.

Ask in World Editor Help Zone about autocast abilities and triggering them. It's a bit of a hassle until you get them to work how you want to.

No but that doesn't mean you can't leave it so. The only problem with the channeling part is that here you can't control the tornado so it's kind of useless to keep the caster locked.

You might also want to think of adding mana to the farms and making the spell require it.

Maybe temporary or triggered somehow. I mean the Blademaster and night elves won't be too useful in the early game against this faction.

Solid Map, textures and models look great! I really appreciate that no race was replaced :)
I wish it was on a better map however but that's just personal choice
The one thing for me is that it's unbalanced, for example; the power level of the Illidari Demon Hunter

Blood Elf Farstrider's damage changed to 17-22 (from 16-18) HP downed to 245 (from 310)
Blood Elf Abode has a new ability-- Mana Surge. This allows it to surge mana every 10 seconds which restores 10 mana for up to 5 in range.
Blood Elves now only regenerate HP during the day as a counterpart to Night Elves only regenerating at night. With that, the Sunstone item now appears in the Blood Elf Arcane Vault replacing the Mechanical Critter.
Naga Mur'gul Reaver can no longer repair, however, buildings naturally regenerate at a decent pace and Coral Beds augement this regeneration by their Coral Reef ability.

Bit of a smaller update. but that's just how I usually am in order to not get too distracted and do something else. I may, in fact, be a goldfish.
The pretty swell ideas for the Naga building thing was due to Lon-ami, so thank you for that!

Do also kind of want to maybe make it so Blood Elf casters regen mana faster during the day, but I don't know yet-- something as a counterpart to Shadowmeld only working at night at any rate. Also need to think on how to diversify Hawkstrider and Crusader more, Hawkstrider to be a squishier scout while Crusader being more tanky makes sense to me. Perhaps the cleave may also only work 80/90% HP an above.

Hopefully, these slightly lesser changes will still be enough to change how these two are played, at the very least a little more divergence from other races, small victories.

Unbalanced? How so? I have uh... zero balancing sense so I wouldn't really understand the issue unless someone hits me in the face with it.
You can try asking about it in Idea Factory show your map, explain the factions.
Ah, I have a thread up there, haven't really got too much on it yet, but maybe I'll try to explain better if I can later.
Ask in World Editor Help Zone about autocast abilities and triggering them. It's a bit of a hassle until you get them to work how you want to.
Most autocasts are just fine, just the arrow abilities that are really strange to get. Makes me wonder why they were programmed that way.
Buildings? I thought that aura was for normal units.
Nope! Buildings and ancients only.

I'm probably going to play the map a lot because I like it, so I'll let you know my suggestions for what to change.
With the actual playable map (gold rush), I'm just not a big fan of it because there's too many gold mines.
I am kind of new to actually commenting, so if there is a forum or somewhere to talk about the map (I don't want to get in trouble so just asking), let me know; unless here is fine.
Anyway, thanks for responding!
Looking forward to any new races :)
Still important to balance though, but it can be hard and takes time.

Not enough goldmines you say? Time to drop more goldmines everywhere! Uh... any particular map you'd be interested in for new 'major' updates? Or I could potentially just have a set of 3-4 maps for this... Might do that for next update whenever that would be.
Nah, here is totally fine as well. There is also that 'WiP' thread linked in the description if you'd rather, but these are the only two places (unless you prefer youtube comments for some reason? That'd be strange. Anyways!)
We'll have to see if I can somehow stumble into balancing at some point.

The uh... 'secret' race can be played by setting your 'race' to Random and handicap to 90%. How peculiar! 100% random will still be random of course this does open up 4 more potential race slots through this method (30 races in all by a combination of all 4 races+random with all the handicaps! But I'm probably not going to use all of those possibilities) Secret race is only temporarily going to be secret, I'll probably spill the beans on it next update for whomever doesn't want to bother re-downloading for a rather dumb update.

Ah, I forgot to mention that the 'Random Hero' option does actually work properly for all of the new races. don't know if anyone actually uses that but the option does function as it should if anyone likes using it. Anyways! Hopefully everyone's having a good day!

Wait, so is it still possible to do 'random 90%' and get one of the new added races? Or will that only give the secret race?
Are you saying you've made it so doing 'random 100%' can give ANY of the races in the map/s or just the original warcraft ones?

Bit more a 'system' update than anything-- (100%) Random now acts as a 'true' random, in that it may choose between all 9 of the current races and not just the original 4 races. Along with that, the new race has an AI that can uh... definitely be optimised better but currently can't think of how to do so due to brain melting. Will likely be the last update for a bit again while I get distracted by other stuff.

Well, it's the update after the initial 'secret', so let's introduce our new friends shall we?
Meet the Conglomeration of cReeps and Enemies Everywhere Practising vengeance, or CREEP. Creeps are sick of everyone killing them for gold, items and experience, so now it's time for them to fight back! Now YOU'RE the fodder.

CREEP excels at massing large numbers and has the potential to immediately replenish their ranks after failed assaults due to them relying on hiring their units instead of training them, this however means they start off slowly. CREEP also gives off bounties upon being killed, just like normal creeps so don't get too ahead of yourself if you know you can't win. You may just give the enemy a much bigger advantage than anticipated.

CREEP themselves have no heroes, but if a tavern is present may still hire those heroes during your tier 2 (Centaur Tent plays the part of an Altar for these purposes, aside from that it just lets you hire Centaurs)

Currently they have a variety of Gnolls, Harpies, Centaurs and Dark Trolls (may add more buildings for more), they cannot research upgrades nor do they have any real self-defense (Will maybe change this at some point), they rely on pure numbers.

Edit: Updated at the expense of actually being able to choose at all, it seems, yay oversights. Trying to fix now.

Edit 2: Should be fixed now, if I'm dumb and broke anything else I'll uh... try to fix it if found.

That's a cute idea. : ) Reminds me of that fun old Monolith custom map Blizzard put out.

I don't know if it's possible, but consider diversifying the Creeps available in CREEP (either just adding more units to the faction, or making it map-dependent (?), or by having "techtree paths" ala the Monolith map I just mentioned).

Monolith is awesome to play around with now and then still. wonder if i'd be able to toss all of these races on top of that so you could play as CREEP against the Monolith creeps, haha.

Currently I just went with creeps associated with their buildings (Gnoll Hut, Harpy Nest, Centaur Tent, Troll Hut), and the Sasquatch fellow as the worker-- mostly due to custom models for those that have birth animation. Would definitely add more if more buildings like this existed (or whenever i bother figuring out how to add birth animations to buildings myself) As for map/tileset dependant it's totally possible! but having essentially a separate race/AI to do for each tileset might just kill me, especially since my workaround for AIs hiring units essentially came down to just spawning them every however many seconds that that unit's stock would replenish if they have enough gold/lumber/food.

still, to uh... get to the point. I'll definitely add more representation for other creeps when/if i/someone else adds birth animations to other creep-flavoured buildings. now i want to try and figure out how to do just that curse yooou.

v1.08
  • Blood Elf AI updated, now they're slightly less dumb.
  • Blood Elf Hawkstrider Knight hp -100, food -1, armour -1, level +1, damage +1 and now requires Chateau and Arcane Vault (Tier 2 instead of 3)
  • Blood Elf Cleave renamed to Severing Stride and reworked, now it does a flat 10 damage cleave when at 80% HP or more.
  • Blood Elf Guard Tower is now an Impaling Tower, essetially a Ballista in a tower-- since it mostly does the work of Guard Tower and Cannon Tower in one, the Cannon Tower has been removed.
  • Blood Elf Arcane Tower is now Mana-seeking Tower, does near the same thing, but is a bit weaker and has a bouncing feedback.
  • Blood Elf Priest's Inner Fire is now Inner Will (A more balanced version of Inner Fire, 30% damage, 3 armour.)
  • Blood Elf Priest now has the Glimmer of Light ability-- this lets them actually do their healing thing without upgrading, although it has a decent cooldown to it (25 HP to all in range, 30 mana cost, 15 second cooldown), in return for this Blood Pact upgrade no longer affects Priests.
  • Blood Elf Priest's training description has been fixed.
  • Blood Elf Sorceress Invisibility replaced with Mass Dispel.
  • Blood Elf Farstrider's Crimson Arrow now properly takes HP away upon use, no more cheating AI (or just using manually without the autocast). Along with this, like the Priest's Blood Heal can kill by overuse.
  • Blood Elf Champion's Holy Armour renamed to Divine Aegis, also reduces 12 damage instead of 14, but also blocks 7 more damage if over 80% to a minimum of 2 damage (thus making it a little less Hardened Skin). Along with that their HP was changed to 800 HP from 885, and damage reduced by 3.
  • Blood Elf Swordsmen, Blood Knight Initiates and Champions have a new Holy Armour skill, which makes damage against them be divided into 25% of it being mana damage, so now they're a little less just being feedback bait. (Blood Elves may have too many upgrades huh.)
  • Blood Elf Marksmanship upgrade no longer affects Dragonhawk Rider (i don't even remember why i had it affect this guy to start with... was probably before Pegasus Rider was added.)
  • Chaos Orcs' Cannon Tower is now Bombardier Tower, it's slower but does more damage and has more splash range.
  • Chaos Orc tower descriptions no longer mention Human upgrades, oops.
  • Chaos Orc AI updated a bit, now they just won't build all the towers ever.
  • Demon Adrammelech Toxophilite's Demon Eyes' True Sight now only tracks for 300 range instead of 900.
  • Naga Summoner's Watery Minion removed-- it has been replaced with the Siren's Parasite ability keeping its role as a summoner in-tact without being a bit weird, in the place of Parasite for Siren...
  • Naga Siren has a new ability in Healing Ballad, it increases regeneration of target units by 300% (I seem to have given Naga a lot of regeneration and no straight up heals, huh. Though this also does make the name of 'Siren' fit more.)
  • Naga AI updated a bit, now they'll actually harvest gold properly and tier 3 pushed back a bit so they can build up a bit more, along with that less tower spam thing again.
  • A lot of Human units overhauled, at least in terms of aesthetic appearances, in terms of gameplay they're all exactly the same, this is mostly just to keep Human being Human (so no more Dragonhawk Rider and 95% of the Dwarf units are gone, since I wanted to do them as a separate race too, the tank and copter stay as is since the Dwarves will use the RoC versions.)

This time has quite a bit more divergence from their 'parent' races, a few fixes (some I forget) and some overhauling to Humans, in a sort-- if you're a bit more an inquisitive individual you may have stumbled into some unused imported models last version for Human units, well this is what they were for.
apparently i lied when i said the update wouldn't be for a while, but the distraction i had seemed to have lasted far less time than anticipated.

Few more random updates, this will probably be the last for a bit while I work more on Corrupted, Stormwind, Dwarves and Kul'tiras. Neato (Probably) v1.10 update huh?

v1.09
Blood Elf Priest damage changed to 8-13, Unarmoured to Small Armour, 290 HP > 240 HP, 200 MP > 250 MP
Blood Elf Priest's Life Drain is now recieved upon upgrading with Blood Heal (the whole reason it's a thing is to make the heal less suicide, after all.)
Blood Elf Sorceress damage changed to 11-16, 325 HP > 270 HP, 200 MP > 250 MP
Blood Elf Ballista damage changed to 56-69, 300 HP > 380 HP
Chaos Orc Onager damage changed to 82-102, 425 HP > 400 HP
Chaos Orc Maiden of Discord's Flame Bomb is now quite a bit less 'can't see a thing'.
CREEP AI spawn optimisations.


Will likely edit this post in a few? hours with a beta thing for barebones versions of all four of the new oncoming races. Still mostly need Hero units for all of them and upgrades/abilities as well.

Moderately larger update but not as large as it probably should have been update.
Just rolls off the tongue.

v1.2.0 (Or v"I forgot how to count, if you will")
- Version numbering redone, First digit is for overhauls and huge changes, second is for new races, third is for fixes and misc changes.
- Stormwind Humans added! Can be played by setting handicap as Human to 80%!
- A number of lesser changes and fixes for the other races, but apparently I didn't write them down so I forgot. Oops.

Now then, the others I mentioned, Dwarves, Kul'tiras and Corrupted Night Elves can 'technically' also be played with if you want to and random can choose them, but they have no imports right now to keep filesize down a bit, and they have mostly no upgrades or anything, So, on that, I'll keep the previous v1.1.3 (former v1.09) in this post if you don't want that weirdness until I actually fix it all. Hopefully I can actually get to the rest of it all for proper release later!

On those guys, a bit of an update...

v1.2.1
- Stormwind AI updated-- Two Chevaliers and two Farmsteads are trained/built earlier, mostly to make things move along a bit quicker.
- On Stormwind AI, not sure when or how, but for the uploaded version apparently it wasn't imported. It is now.
- Stormwind Chevalier now has Justiciar and Grand Justiciar as Dependancy equivalents, so AIs actually use them. Oops.
- Blood Elf unit/upgrade descriptions and such seem to have had traces and mentions of things that have since been removed, the ones I've found have been fixed, oops!
- Blood Elf Champion's Divine Aegis upgrade placement shifted down.
- Blood Elf Marksmanship upgrade mentioned Pegasus Knight instead of Pegasus Rider. Innocent enough... until you notice Pegasus 'Knight' is a Human unit. Oops! That's fixed.

There's also a second 'preview' video of me and a friend having some weird dumb fun with Demons, CREEP, Stormwind and Kul'tiras, none are really serious matches though so you won't really see anything groundbreaking there.

Probably crazy, but updating is so fun.

Currently trying to finish up Kul'tiras, got 90% of the units/upgrades/unit abilities up, all that's mostly left are thinking up Hero abilities. This 'should' be the last minor update before I toss Kul'tiras in unless other weird issues are found or maybe I get bored and add more upgrades to Demons who are kind of lacking in that department.

v1.2.2
- Stormwind AI actually uses Grand Justiciars properly For really reals this time. A few upgrades are done differently as well so there's less downtime when they reach later points.
- Naga has two new upgrades, Frenzied Mur'guls and Shatter.
- Naga Gorgon's Petrify now makes the target takes 1.5x damage while stunned, in addition it can now be used on buildings (which is weird since it stuns by looking into their eyes. Hm...).
- Demon Mo'arg Overlord's Wild Slam coding fixed up a bit. (i forget if it'll actually change anything, but noting anyway)
- Blood Elf Hawkstrider Knight's Severing Stride trigger fixes! A condition and action referenced the wrong unit, oops.

New update! 'Sides Kul'tiras it's a smaller update, I s'pose.

...It's taken thirteen hours to upload less than 25MB of a map.

- A bit more a minor change, but all new race AIs will only ever train one hero if difficulty is set to Easy, just like the original four races.
- The CREEP AI will now just throw whatever units it has every few minutes, instead of waiting for Gnoll Wardens that may never be hired.
- Kul'tiras is now added as a new playable race! They can be played by using Human and setting Handicaps to 70%!

Smaller update again while I work on Dwarves and Corrupted-- Dwarves only need two more heroes and Corrupted need mostly upgrades and stuff, so I might just do the update with both instead of separately or something.

v1.3.1
- Kul'tiras Cataphract now has proper icon. Oops. (Was the Lordaeron Human Knight icon)
- Kul'tiras Inn now has the Night's Rest ability, allowing units to regenerate in return for putting them to sleep.
- Stormwind Human's Cleric now has Healing on autocast upon being trained up.
- Stormwind Human's Commander's Rallying Cry ability will now scale with your levels properly. oops.
- All previous maps are playable with current version!

It's a bit of a play on how Inns work in RPGs and stuff, but instantly fully healing would probably be a bit much, so it also simulates y'know... actually sleeping at the inn during the night, haha.

A bit of a stupid update that needs to be done, but it's even dumber to pretend to not notice it isn't it.
...Would've been nice to have noticed when I was reuploading all the maps initially though, haha.

- Apparently somewhere along the line the Chaos Orcs' Troll Axethrower went missing, which already sucks in itself but AI's too dumb to just try to build around it so it makes them useless.

Aaaaand the update with both Corrupted Night Elves (finally) and Dwarves!
...Dwarves were initially made for Human 70%, and Kul'tiras only took that spot last update with duct tape and not really formatted neatly (neatly as i can anyway) so Kul'tiras was booted down to Human 60%!
v1.4.0
- Both Corrupted Night Elves and Bronzebeard Dwarves are now playable! Yay! Corrupted are Night Elf 80% and Dwarves are Human 70%
- Random optimisations to a few random triggers, for example, the Stormwind Skyship trigger denoting if they have the turret upgrade.
- Chaos Orcs' Doom Seer and Maiden of Discord are now classified as Unholy Beings.


Next I'd like to do are The Black Empire and Shadow Elves. If I'm crazy enough to do four at once again I may add in Northrend Scourge (San'layn+Vry'kul) and uh... maybe Mag'har Orcs/Iron Horde? Anyways! Have a good day!

Edit: Unholy Being classification was the learn string for Phantasmic Aura (only for Booty Bay) Huh.

Finally getting around to opening this up in the Editor to poke around... And wow. How in the world do you navigate this mess??

I know it's far too late (unless...), but I see how you're using the Editor Notes to append all sorts of useful info about a given ability (especially "which faction is this for" in the ones that occupy the same section). I like that, but I don't know why you went for the full title; takes up so much space & is harder to parse. I would've gone with a 3- or 4-letter 'code' for each faction, so you could tell at a glance what this game element (hero, unit, building, ability, upgrade, etc) was for.

I'll edit this with interesting things I find...

Horrible memory more than anything-- the main thing I have this in contains a lot of other things I play around with over 1000 units, over 2000 abilities (Literally, thousands of stuff), I separate the races I work on from the main thing for about each 'race' release which is much much easier like this from a glance instead of forgetting what each abbreviation means.

Still, have fun, and do feel free to take anything if you'd like!

Hey, just wanted to drop in and say that i really enjoyed playing your map. It's great! :) Very cool take on the different races. But i have a question. Does the Naga orb of water actually.. work? :p When i tried it out, it didn't seem to ever proc the healing. Just thought i'd mention it. Regardless though, nice map! :)

Don't mean to be a pain in the ass....but any idea what to do if the maps don't appear in-game on the map list? Tried making a special folder for them in the Frozen Throne maps folder, but still nothing. I'm running on 1.29 if that's relevant.
 
I noticed this map was tagged with Open Source. I am working on a very slow project to try to recreate the functionality of the Warcraft III game system in an open source way so that I can add more races to the main menu and do advanced modding in whatever way suits my whims. It's not good yet but it might be playable in a couple of years.

As far as that, what's your level of dedication to "Open Source"? What's the official LICENSE for this project? Suppose that I wanted to have the race dropdown rotate the available races on my War3 clone to have Race of the Week or something -- would you be OK with me shoving some of your content in there? I played a game of this map with a friend over the weekend and we had some fun. So I thought, putting those races as the default races for all maps on my War3 clone might be something fun to try at some point. Not yet though because there's still so much work to do in my project to make it a working War3 clone.

I was surprised by this map, it's really a great map.
I love how you did the Kul'Tiras, it has to be the map with the best Kul'Tiras race on it. The other races are no joke either, although Stormwind and Fel Orcs have too much Warcraft II influence for me, though that doesn't reduce the quality.

A great map! Heard you were making updates for it to add more races, can't wait to see what else you have in mind, I would personally like to see High Elves even though it will be hard to make them unique with the Blood Elves already present.

After I played with almost every race, here is a thing:
Some heroes have a weird requirement to use their abilities: like Necromancer Master training. WTF?!
I think you taken some inspiration from the Original WC series, and you made some of the races very good. But in the Stormwind race is... I'm a bit suprised to see "Half-Elf Archer". Why it's need to be that... Race specific? No problem here from my side.
I also noticed some of the races are not having a proper anti-air tower, but it's okay. The whole idea is okay, and nice work here.
