behold! my 25th model iv ever uploaded. and the first major ''spell effect'' ''projectile'' missile.
the story behind this model is long and boring, allow me to simplify it.
once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away, during the creation of a 3 headed night elf chimaera model (still a WIP which can be seen in my ItemStagSkull screen shot in the back ground) I wanted it to shoot really epic attacks and spells. one spell was a massive chain lighting nuke, the other spell was to be an enhanced corrosive breath with 3 projectiles fired at once (one for each head).
but I have never really been a fan of the corrosive breath projectile alone, so, using vexorians dummy, I added all kinds of green spell effects together to build an effect. but I never truly managed to reach the effect I wanted.
recently, I started working on a 5 headed hydra, and found need of this type of projectile again, TIMES FIVE!!!.
armed with new tools ability's and skills learned from my flowers bombs and weather effects I set out to make a real missile this time. and after about 3 months I came up with this.

I Stared, for hours, days even, at these emitters in magos, and imitated the emitters, one by one, into my model, and made a powerful toxic blast spell, with bad ass particles, and built something liquidy and nasty.
Has the animations:
Birth,
Stand,
and Death.
Death takes 8 seconds to finish. so if used as a dummy unit set the units death time seconds to that for smooth particle transition. at its peak this model has 497 particles, so don't spam this effect too hard, the particle peak lasts seconds. I have little to no problem when as many as 5 of these go off at once, I tested over 30 at once, but then particles just started disappearing. to test this model out properly, bring it ingame trust me its awesome.
Im planning on splintering this model, as I have for my other plant models, into newer cross converted models for more elements, such as lightning, and maybe water, fire, and darkness, inspired by other projects and blizzard effects, not sure if I will do ice as I have little use for it but I might do it just for fun.

Update 1: added a more powerful splash to the birth animation, the most up to date version is now 147
Update 2: added more emitters for the trail of flames behind, made them die faster, and changed the internal name -- additionally, I've changed this models name from ''GreatElderHydraAttackV.147'' to ''GreatElderHydraAcidSpewV.148'' for easier sorting on my purposes.
In Addition I will be uploading my custom Acid Spew Ground Effect now.
update 3: based on extensive work on my hydra fire ball projectile soon to come out, I found a better way to make the tail particles, thus im updating this resource with a better tail, it has more particles, but is more organic looking in my opinion. the screen shot is also updated to show the changes
