Tower (Human, Optimized) Info:
  • Deleted redundant meshes.
  • Fixed some of the texture wrapping.

Cannon Tower (Goblin) Info:
  • Created a Goblin version of the Cannon Tower.

  • Created a version of the Tower (Human) which uses the texture for Northrend structures.

  • Upgraded the Scorched Tower doodad a bit so that it can be used as a creep building.

Deolrin: In addition to what Misha said, I'd like to add that the wrap on the main body of the tower(not the turret) is terribly stretched. I would like you to fix that.

Deolrin: Decent, if slightly simplistic model. Rewrapping the main body helped the model significantly. Approved.

It's been far too long since I got around to this... And then I couldn't find it. Was I crazy, or was this recently re-un-hidden? :p Either way, I'll try to be quick.

Very interesting, and quite generous of you to include so many interesting varieties of tower for mapmakers to use. You're definitely enjoying that Gargoyle Spire texture... Let's take a look.

Base Tower - Huh. Not much to say here, although the solid purple ring is a bit weird. Good to have a base, like the Humans.

1st
Arrow Tower - Cool, remake the Humans again.

2nd
Plague Cannon - I actually really like how you re-envisioned the purely Dwarven technology (cannons) with the Plague... And the little "ring window showing plague tank" is cool-io... But I really wish you had done a pure/literal "plague cauldron", perhaps even "set onto the half-ruined husk of a human tower" dealie. :<

3rd
Dark-cane Tower - ("dark" + "arcane"... get it? :p) Very nice. As sort of a twisted/corrupted version of the (elven mage but looks like) Dalaran towers, this fits really well with the Forsaken as inheritors (& looters) of that mythical heritage.

4th
Lighthouse? - Um... Ok so it's a lighthouse? Cool, but what the heck? Maybe (more) useful if it had a "spinning light beam" animation... What is this, anyway?

Search Tower - Um, I think that's what it is... I'm actually a big fan of creative tower-ideas, but this looks far too similar to the Archer tower IMO. Moreover the texture (inside & outside) is so complex, it obscures the fact that it's open & has those search lights. Finally, no "lights-on" animation? How can this be used except passively?

Ziggu-Crystal-Arcane Tower - Interesting. I think less highly of this than the other "magicky tower", but it is a solid mesh of the Undead Ziggurat & the Elven Dalaran...-ian Magic Tower. So useful I guess. Nice to have alternatives, if nothing else.

Overall, I grateful for your attempts at uniformity (both among these towers & your greater body of Forsaken buildings), but I feel you may have taken it too far (if not with these Towers specifically, then with the other buildings). You've used the Gargoyle Spire texture for pretty much every Forsaken building... Any given techtree will need 10-12 of them. While every race definitely has similar artistic themes, I don't think any other race utilizes identical textures. It rwill really homogenize your race, unfortunately.

For the towers in particular, they are smaller than the Spire, so squeezing all that GS-texture detail into that tiny tower-side makes it look squished and uncomfortable. :<

Now I know you're not really practiced with textures, and I don't know what else you can use... But there it is, just my 2 cents.

Overall some good stuff, though, like I was saying. Looking forward to some interesting changes!
