I know that I will try to aim for the initial deadline, will not have much time after the 3rd.

It appears we don't have an applied moderator anymore, as Wareditor is no longer a mod, so I'm unsure how we'll handle the extension right now.

Edit: The extension was confirmed for another two weeks and concludes on 17th of April GMT (day is included)

I'm working on trimming down the cinematic, removing unnecessary stepping stones etc. How I've managed to go from 14:35 to 10:23 is beyond me haha.

Man, the new patch DESTROYED the cinematic haha. Hopefully I'll be able to fix everything with some new camera angles.

Is there any way to disable the widescreen? In case I want to make a different version of the cinematic.

My suggestion is that any submission not using the new natives of 1.29 should be judged on a 1.28 client, and the submissions using the new natives should be judged on a 1.29 client. Unfortunate that 1.29 dropped in the middle of the contest

This was foreseen to happen really, I wouldn't use 1.29 if I were a contestant, hopefully you're using a hacked WE and not vanilla, and work with it until you're done, then we'll watch it using a 1.28 client or lower, I personally will not judge cinematics with the 1.29 widescreen, as this contest started on 1.28, and thus it'll be judged with a 1.28 client.

I agree with Azsure. Contest is almost over and obviously most of the content was made on 1.28, remaking cinematic would only ask for additional work. I recommend to upload a youtube variant along with submission just to avoid possible misunderstanding.

@Chaosy although there are new natives, it seems that the widescreen support screws up some of the shots, as mentioned by @Ungoliath. Both judges agree that we should stick to "1.28 content," so I think we should stick to what they say.

Edit: or it would.. except I cannot compile my project in 1.29 because wurst does not support it yet. Fucking great :<

I pointed this out back in page 2 where I mentioned the possibility of the new patch coming before the deadline, and in which case I recommended sticking to 1.28 to avoid possible conflicts.

Furthermore, I don't expect anyone to make something absolutely stunning with the new natives in less than 6 days remaining of this contest, so why risk yourself for that?

I did not update for the cinematic itself, I just wanted to test the new natives separately and if I found something cool I could add it.
Should have recorded before doing so, silly mistake. I just need to pray that wurst is updated quickly enough otherwise I need to pirate 1.26 or something in order to compile my project. (since battle.net installer automatically updates to the latest patch)

We are not seeing a demand for further extension, I believe it will have to be 2 entries just like it was in Cinematic Contest #5.
