Blizz cliffs can actualy be used good if you know how to or it matches your map.

Also it is a indoors map so the blizzardish strange cliff look could actualy make it look ok.

The map idea is nice, the design is abstract and looks inovative.

However in my opinion it looks too bright and i personally don't like such collorfull maps/games, i am more of a dark atmosphere fan.

I'm not sure anyone acknowledged my entry into the contest, so I'll restate.

I am entering the contest, with an "escape the ruins" type map. No it is not what people would consider an escape.

Basically you are a hero that must solve riddles and puzzles to progress further in the map. It's a lot like my own version of T.M.'s riddles.

Do I post a WIP here?

I think you should watch out with those blizzard cliffs. if you use them to often
they can look ugly.

Well the Blizz ruins walls don't look too bad, and they fit well for the indoor theme. I would suggest some UTM walls too though

if you use them at the right time and place, they can look very good.
but I often see maps, where cliffs were spammed around the map,
or at the wrong places. that can look ugly, and would destroy the
terrain 'feeling'

A good combination of blizz cliffs and other models is the best solution, giving variety and a refreshing feel if you ask me.

I'm not finished with it. Actually that's a while back from where I am now. I usually do the entire map first, and then polish it up. Considering you are inside a ruins, i think the walls are appropriate. It's not supposed to be like an oceanic scenic view or anything lol

A little update,

You can as well use the UTM walls

I feel that Square Blizz cliffs can be suitable for cities and constructions... The only real alternative to that is custom models, since raised cliffs aren't quite vertical.

What exactly is so wrong with Blizz Cliffs? I know that it is really easy to make a map look awful with them, but if they are dressed up properly they don't look that bad.

well my friend those are my concepts i remade them from scratch and use base materials but reworked them with photoshop

And why is it necessary to anounce the 2nd judge soon?

I mean not like public can affect who is gonna be the judge, i just think we should trust that the host knows what she is doing and nothing more.

btw: its so strange.. each time i change tileset it says that there's too few cliff tiles. But i have 6 cliff tiles oO. Anyone have any suggestions what i can do?
