Well not too much work, but started the areas for the intro cinematics

1st one is Far-Azar's hut - a Gnoll Hermit who's important to the story (also functions as like a tutorial guy)

2nd one is Char's families house

Both are only going to be used for Cinematics

Both still WiP's and made pretty quickly - need to get working on the physics that my puzzles will be based on

I am sorry but there is none. Since this project is partially part of my work as being a tutor, I will need the 1 month time for tutoring, and then at least a week to document all the information for the finals of the course in mid march. :/

I do have them listed together in a sheet. Thought it will be best to list only final entries in the main post, as some might join, some might quit, etc. :)

Is there any proper list of the participants? By having this thread with over a 1000 posts, will be a real pain to find them all, especially when some are quitting.

Why would you need that when you got my post?
Seeing as you have to post atleast one WIP picture before the submitting your map.
If you really want a proper list of participants, I suggest you go through all the pages like I did and write up all the names.
Will take you countless hours though but if your really interrested I suggest you go for it.

So let me guess, you enter that temple? :p

*same story here*

no, you plant a nuke, and then win :p

yes, I won't tell the story yet, but I can say, that this is a long
forgotten temple of demons, which once lived there to do magic
rituals. But the temple was forgotten until you (your maincharacter)
get a letter from a friend, who found this temple.
And then... (play it if I finished it xD)

I dunno so far i done about 1/5th of the terrain, almost done the physic engine and started to apply some eyecandy on the other aspects.

Should be retturning to terraining in a day or 2 :p

EDIT:

I am also thinking of expanding the hero system a bit as well add the DGUI as a feature but maybe once the contest is over and if i decide to continue the work(based on the critic's).

Read the MAYBE once the contest FINISHES part please :p

I never said anything about doing it now.

DGUI link:

It is hard to achieve(that kind of interface) but if you know how to and got the time the results are spectacular.

Well it is part of your overal Art direction - if it's not judged then it will help you win. No one wants to stare at god aweful terrain for an hour. Also how well it's coded isn't going to be judged too so coding also isn't as hugely important as long as it works. I would suggest planning your map well, but don't forget terraining.

It IS a mapping contest, and terraining is a part of that.

-Also I've been a bit busy lately with school work and other factors, it's too early to dismess me as out of the contest, but I may run out of time If I dont get a few sollid mapping hours in sometime soon.

I don't think we can use that music, I'm not entirely sure but if those are from a video game then they are copyrighted, thus we'd need the owners permission to use them.

Also, music is allowed if the owner of the track allows so, is a under a creative common license, or any other way you gain the rights to use it. It's a non commercial mod project, but even then, some tracks require consultation before they can be used anywhere. I have nothing against using custom music either, as long as it's legally sorted and the whole map does not exceed 15 mb of size.

In case you guys didn't know all music on Newgrounds is distributed under a creative commons license, so you can use any of it.
