It's a TD (tower defense) with diffrent selectable game modes.
By having towers gaining XP and being able to evolve into new towers, the player must plan ahead how he will build and where to build. Your strategy determines how you will do as letting one tower Solo would be better than massing them. At the same time, you must plan your gold and time things. Strategy is taken to a new level with this map!

Arkidas (owner of wc3anvil) has started his own WoW site, so maybe we can show our appreciation for his help for our site by giving it some browser love'n!

EDIT: In other news, I have removed over 1000 broken link maps (20% of the archive) these past few days from the maps section. I figure there is still about 600-700 more before the archive is clean of them. I will be leaving several hundred broken link maps up because those are maps I happen to have in my personal archive that I can upload and restore the links to, when I return to the states in 2 weeks.

Sorry I failed to mention this, but when I said " please report broken links", I meant via PM (to any moderator), not by forum posts. If you do report something, please post a link to the resource, not just give the name of it.

I've already gotten many reports. Thank you all for your time and effort in pointing them out.

If you map or skin (for maps and skins ONLY) was deleted because it was one of the hundreds of broken link resources, then you are free to re-upload it again. However this time it will be subject to being screened by moderators.

Also, if one of your resources is one of those with a broken link (again, for maps and skins only), you can simply update your map using the add/update resource tab on the corner of your page to re-upload your map, where it will be put onto our server and keep your comments and download statistics.

Blizzard Entertainment is launching a large-scale Fan Artwork Contest with some impressive prizes. The categories include Best Art in Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft, and Cinematics. Only 2D concept art and 3D model stills are to be accepted, rather than animations.

Open submissions begin at midnight Pacific Time on Monday, July 31. Legal adult residents of the United States, Canada (except Quebec), Australia, New Zealand, France, the United Kingdom, and Singapore are eligible.

Four grand prize winners will receive a Grand Prize Package valued at $10,000 USD and fourteen runners-up will receive a prize package valued at $1,400 USD.

The Grand Prize Package consists of either cash or all of the following: A trip to Los Angeles plus a lunch or dinner with Blizzard employees, a Wacom Cintiq tablet, an Alienware Area-51 7500 desktop, an autographed and framed Blizzard art print, and a $220 USD gift certificate to the company's online store.

The Secondary Package does not carry the option of cash only but includes $1,000 USD, an autographed and framed Blizzard art print, and a $220 USD gift certificate to the company's online store.

All moderators have been promoted to moderate all sections. That should solve the problems of have active mods with loo little responsibility and vice versa.

Also in the maps section, these will be added to the submittion critiera;

-Original maps only. Thats mean no edits of other people's work. This includes blizzard. The only exceptions to this is if a map was willingly passed on from one owner to the next, and not valid edits made from open source maps.

-No demo maps.

-Beta maps are okay, but they must be late beta stage maps. If you do not know what a late beta stage map is, please read the map submitting criteria in the maps forum.

-No maps that cannot be play tested (mainly pertains to open RPG maps. Sorry, but if you know enouph about triggering to add a save/load code, you should know enouph about triggering to break it when there is only 1 player present.) Our moderators will need to be able to play test maps without having to log into bnet.

-A minimum standard of quality will soon be put in play for all sections soon. I will write up a description of what is needed to meet minimum requirements for maps when it is put into effect. Other section mods will be required to write one up for their own sections.

Also, we will begon removing resources with broken links immediatly. If a resource comes up with a "page cannot be displayed" when you hit the download link, please report it to any moderator and we will deal with it.

I will also begin trying to remove the author list drop bar from all sections. This is one thing we strongly suspect is causing the long page load times.

Everyone has been chanting "purge! purge! purge!" these past few month. You know what they say, be careful what you wish for.... please do not get upset with the moderators if any of your material is among that removed. Thank you.
