Bloody revenge

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
"Bloody Retribution" - A small mini-campaign where you will have to fight against the Scourge. The king is concerned about the events unfolding in the royal lands and assigns you the task of heading to a small town where the first signs of infection have been observed recently. You will play as General Abbendis, who has gathered the best warriors to embark on this mission.

A credits list in the map description with the names of the authors whose resources you've used is mandatory. That includes models, skins, icons, custom spells, systems. Also, sounds, music and everything outside this site.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

i remember watching a walkthrough of some of this. keep up the great work. and thank you for translating, cheers! love the grim dark feels of it.. the spells. enviroment etc. job well done
But have you played or at least tried it? Rating it, especially so high based on some video is kind of unfair, wouldn't you say?

oh, i played it, my bad on the misunderstanding. at least now i could understand the objectives etc. youtube algorithm was random, and i remember seeing a few play throughs few weeks ago. its quite heartening to see some get translation and love here too ;)

in my case, all chapters worked just fine on 1.31. further feed back i wish to add; at your leisure, i hope you continue this custom campaign. it left me a taste for more! loved the setting and story idea you have woven into. keep up the awesome work!

Thank you, I'm currently working on another campaign, and I will start translating it into English afterwards. I believe it will be just as interesting.

I also enjoyed this campaign, it only has 2 cutscens and 1 mission but it was alright, short and sweet, as the others said, the atmosphere was pretty neat with the scary soundtrack, and i actually enjoyed the russian voice acting, it helped the scary vibes of the campaign even more, i have a saying, any type of voice acting is better than no voice acting, you clearly have talent for creating stories and maps, keep up the good work with those! :thumbs_up:

I played on version 1.29 of War3 and i didn't see any bugs.

That's a good point. I was considering whether to remove it or not, but with voice acting, the dialogue timing can be automatically synchronized in the triggers with the MP3 file, which is very convenient. Without it, each dialogue would have required individual timing adjustments.

Disease Cloud can be selected and destroyed.
Linear gameplay.

So, while I appreciate the concept and voice acting, it's just rough and unfinished.

A simple yet well-done map. It has only three "chapters", two cinematics, and one playable map that offer a brief yet good experience.
The playable map is quite well decorated featuring undead and other gruesome doodads decorating the map that give off a foreboding feeling, like you're walking into a trap and you aren't meant to get out alive.
It is a shame that the experience is so brief and doesn't offer more maps or a continuation of the story, even if it weren't canon to Blizzard's works. I would have been greatly interested in playing a campaign where you were meant to handle the situation with what you were given, no base building, and just delve into the undead infested areas of ruined Lordaeron while Balnazar worked to dismantle the Scarlet Crusade from within.

- Voice Acting Quality: The AI-generated voice acting felt weak overall. I would have preferred a deeper, more resonant voice for the character Abbendis, which could have enhanced the character’s impact.
- Atmosphere: The scattered corpses and sound effects contributed to a chilling atmosphere that I really enjoyed. These elements successfully add a layer of horror and immersion to the game.
- Modeling: I would have preferred Reforged HD models for all characters on the map. This would enhance the visual quality and maintain consistency, especially when playing on the Reforged version.
- Gameplay Level: The gameplay level introduced at the start is well thought out, providing a balanced difficulty and flow from the beginning, which makes for an engaging experience.
- Cinematics: The in-game cinematics could be further improved to add more tension. Enhancing the story-driven cutscenes could strengthen the atmosphere and deepen player engagement.

Overall, "Bloody Revenge" stands out for its eerie atmosphere and well-balanced gameplay, but improvements in voice acting and visual details could make it an even more immersive experience.

Thank you for the feedback. Yes, the voice acting is indeed a bit weak.. I’ll be changing it, as this was my first attempt, and I couldn’t find anything better at the time. Regarding Reforged, i made it for version 1.26. As for the cinematics and other elements, when i first created it, it was quite rough. Later, i gained a bit more experience and improved it as best as iI could tthough, of course, it could have been even better.

Wow, that unexpected ending really caught me off guard. I was looking forward to a thrilling fourth mission!
I hope you continue this project one day. The start really hooked me in!

I knew it was a mini-campaign, but the content is very weak. It ends quickly after 5-10 minutes of gameplay. I was expecting at least a couple of hours of gameplay. It's a bit unnecessary to share it as it is.

Even if it is short, it's infrequent to see any custom campaigns featuring the Scarlet Crusade. Even having Chasing the Dawn as an etalon for such campaigns, the community still struggles to see the Light of true believers!
What about this campaign? Well, it's short and sweet, AI voice-acting is not as bad as it could be.

I think its okay to do short stories - looking forward to seeing more short stories from you, @SanyaBelotsky!
