  1. New players should stick to Sgt. Madigan in mission 1. Afterwards you should follow your team and try not to lag behind.
  2. DotD is about hit and run tactics, move as group, scout outward from main path. Take all green boxes you see for ammo. Max clip size is 40. Bullet count (gold) / clips number (lumber)
  3. Type -tl “Team Locate” to see other players locations pinged on your mini map. It’s advisable to use the “Control Terminal” F2+ R for easier use.
  4. Every player wants a primary weapon (purple color) and an ammunition mod (red). Secondaries, armor and healing are bonus.
  5. Ground Flares and Smoke Grenades are critical mission items. We stash them at specific spots (mid early) to use later. Be mindful of using them.
  6. New players from Civ. rank to SPC. start with 2x ACPR. Scout class always has 1x ACPR. Everyone else needs a CPR item to be revived.
  7. Listen to veterans & use your common sense

  • Map now playable on reforge with much less desyncs/crashes.
  • Tons of bug fixes.
  • Class balancing (Demo, Field Tech laser, Vanguard Op jump, Firebat exploding matrix, MG piercing bullets)
  • Map code changed to lua.

7.01:
  • Many more bug fixes, almost desync free and less crashes. Game smoother now.
  • Class updates - Add CSAR OP (k9 handler), Sniper spotter skill tree, nets for Assault Man, FT reassign drone and Closed Circuit
  • Class balancing - FT laser, Medic heal, Demo
  • Add 2 possible endgame missions. Return boat extraction in first mission
  • Add skip cinematic mode
  • Add tips for new players
  • QoL (toggle radio/tips off, more camera options, save preferences between games, scout bag QoL, show leavers on multiboard)
  • Auto save/load
  • Save game state system - saves the full state of the game in 4 checkpoints (like wc3 save/load button, only working)
  • Add weathers
  • Add medal system ("Survivor Badge", "Civic Duty Commendation", "Logistics Citation")
  • Add perk system ("Scavenger")
  • Item stacking system (pickup items even when inventory is full and stack them)
7.02:
  • Add medals ("Cross of Valour", "Joint Operations Distinction", "Assault/Support/Recon Excellence")
  • More perks ("Traveler", "Quartermaster", "Striker")
  • Improved help menus and quest logs
  • Lots of item balancing
  • More bug fixes. Almost all crashes fixed. Game is very stable.
  • Class balancing and QoL - many CSAR improvement and QoL, Demo and FT automation commands, Demopack item
  • Load state improvements. Can save almost everything now.
  • Add 4 player slots (8->12)
  • Add more multiboard info and multiboard types

Quite an atmospheric modern warfare zombie infection survival map. Having missions and some story makes the gameplay even more engaging than just multiplayer. Approved.
Please provide evidence of permission to edit/upload someone else's map.

A credits list in the map description with the names of the authors whose resources you've used is mandatory. That includes models, skins, icons, custom spells, systems. Also, sounds, music and everything outside this site.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

I don't have any official permission from the previous map developers to upload the map. s3rius hasn't been available in years here/in discord. He did give DarkSath permission to take over the map (Our discord server is gone though, so can't find the ownership transfer there sadly).
I have this conversation with Sath from a few years ago:

He never actually sent me the code sadly, and a couple of months after that he went MIA from our discord server and he no longer replies to any of our chat requests in discord or other medias. After about a year, I decided to take over the map development (it was completely broken on reforge at this point - full lobby crashes and tons of desync). I changed the map code to lua, and solved all the bugs, along with substantial map updates and improvements.
 
Hey, someone from our discord managed to get hold of s3rius. He's saying he lost access to his hive account. I posted a couple of screenshots from now and from back in 2021 (to prove it's not some bogus account we created just for this). Is this enough or do we need something more?
The images can't be accessed. Are they uploaded via Media? If so, set the to public.
Just need to wait for me or Remixer to review the map when we get the time.
 
Not really my taste of map. The work on this map is seen. Lot of graphical changes etc. But the core of the game is quite boring when playing alone. The distant camera is quite disturbing.
well its a team game and not styled to be played alone. Camera zoom can be alternated easily between 300 - 5500, huge range to make sure u get your own favorable zoom. The core mechanics & gameplay has been consistent since the early days of beta 6 when s3rius took over development, so its really just a personal taste i guess.

Anyways, i am glad that DotD is still alive and kicking! There are a lot of QOL improvements vs the legacy beta 6 edition, with various tweaks in classes and missions. There is also finally an end game mission (2 alternatives in fact) and usage to the empty vial haha. All in all, thanks Tomotz for taking the baton from Sath and continuing to work on this piece of legacy! 😁
