Gonna draw some diagrams to make it easier for meh![]()
@Ardnived
- Sorry to hear that, you could use a cybercafe that has warcraft and keeps open the hard drive so you can use the World Editor. You know, configure the options, download JNGP and stuff like that. Might be uncomfortable and "Not Home" but if it's the only way...
ok was just trying to give some advice.
I've never seen an Internet Cafe near my house. People just use the public library computers if they need to use the internet, but I don't think you can really do much else on those.
But in anycase between school, homework, and applying to scholarships and university I have little enough time to map let alone find some other location to do it.Well we'll see what happens.
As long as you have the cd key and internet access you can just get the WC3 installation client from Blizzard's website.
Here is the last WIP(The terrain ain't final) i am gonna submit before i upload my map on the 21st:
No shit, Sherlock ?It's a custom UI, smart-ass...
liar.Also i suck at terraining.
Basics
Creative Level Design: 25/30
I think each level was nicely thought out and implemented.
Most everything had a reason to be there. Many doodads where there
I think to distract the user from the items to pick up. there were many
possibilities. What i would have liked is that there were 2 different
views to some areas as it was difficult to view some things in the corner.
Unique Ideas: 18/20
Never in my life have i seen a map in warcraft III like this point
and click. Very creative i have to give it a almost perfect score.
You could have though added different characteristics for each
character in the story as it would add to replayability. and
some more interest. Each character follow it differently.
Defined Artistic Style: 12/20
The style wasn't very different than others who where in the contest. Same
old ruined area which led to some dungeon that had a special item or relic.
But i did like how you developed it ad stuck to it.
Lore: 7/10
There was a story to it but I think there should have a bit more
backround knowledge about each character. Maybe different
characteristics and story lines for each?
The ending was a bit suprising and disappointing but it does leave
room for a sequel.
Gameplay: 14/20
The game got frustrating at some points it wasn't at all hard just
as there was almost no hints or such. i think you could have added
hint system like you can have 2 hints at any point and it will
generate a hint based on where you are. Also i think you could have
implemented some extras along the way like side-quests for rewards
such as bonus items and extra hints. Overall pretty good but only
fun once or twice.
Total Points: 76/100
Final WordsIf you have any questions about the review just ask
ill gladly answer and try to explain. if you think i've missed something
in the map or have misinterpreted something please do message me.
Thank You,
