Using Town Portal on a moving Tree of Life can no longer cause the spell to interrupt and grant temporary invulnerability
You should not even be able to cast it on a moving main base. No other faction has this advantage.
Sound continues to play when game is minimized
I hope it means it doesn't because that's the point of minimizing, not having the game interfere for the time you need to do something else.

Wtf is that click sound in melee, make it stop! God! Game no longer playable with sound. Not to mention all the sound that I no longer hear, though who needs it, it's ingrained in my brain already :<
(seem to only have affected human)

WEX no longer runs?

Did MMH break?

Perhaps its finally time to remove the jass/vjass distinction? :]

Nice they increased the tiles to 16 finally on the main world editor! now let's hope for a removal of doodad limit and custom tile pathing (such as in jngp) and there won't be much need for JNGP anymore as we will be able to edit our maps on main editor/sharpcraft!

Ehhh, no.
A very important feature is still missing, TESH. It is impossible to use JASS or vJASS without a syntax highlighter.
Fine, not impossible. Just annoying.

Edit: also the tool tip creator thing in JNGP was pretty useful

edti2: Oh, and JNGP muted certain sounds, which I really liked. That startup sound is cancer to my ears.

Uhm, not downloading here, but people in the forums seem to be having the same issue, so I will just see that as a bug that will be fixed in the next hotfix.

I find many of the hotkey changes and button changes nice, a lot of it seems to be made to streamline the design of the game to be more akin to modern blizzard ones, wich is a good move, as certain unit training buttons were well... quite weird. I will not say much about the techtree changes tho, as I cannot play the new patch and its just now getting open, so only time will tell ho much it changes the meta.

The world editor changes seems to be exponetially increasing, adding features the community already had for ages to the base game. I see it in a positive light. I still sure an (advanced building) button would help the game, but theres more serious matters to fix and work for now, and I bet they are doign their best.

We will really need to update a lot of custom maps tho...

More custom games unplayable. Custom models crash. Sounds utterly bugged to the point you don't even get attack notifications, unit sounds/missiles/abilities sometimes work and sometimes don't, ambiant sounds sometimes work and sometimes don't, clicking on buildings makes a click sound instead of their sounds. Matchmaking still matches 0-0 stats (who are generally leavers) with high level players in team games (being able to match fast and have 0 actual games isn't better than having to wait 10 minutes to find a game...maybe something in between?). Mouse is now laggy for people it wasn't laggy previously.

Found some new strange natives on common.j

JASS:
native RequestExtraIntegerData takes integer dataType, player whichPlayer, string param1, string param2, boolean param3, integer param4, integer param5, integer param6 returns integer
native RequestExtraBooleanData takes integer dataType, player whichPlayer, string param1, string param2, boolean param3, integer param4, integer param5, integer param6 returns boolean
native RequestExtraStringData takes integer dataType, player whichPlayer, string param1, string param2, boolean param3, integer param4, integer param5, integer param6 returns string
native RequestExtraRealData takes integer dataType, player whichPlayer, string param1, string param2, boolean param3, integer param4, integer param5, integer param6 returns real

Can anyone shed some light on what these do?
Also, what does this even mean in the bug fixes section? "[World Editor] Preloader native functions (Thanks to TriggerHappy for the test map)" What was fixed?

It's cool that we have 1.30 patch, but there is a bad news for modemakers: mpq-archives have been removed from the game folder. That's why modemaking cease to exist, because we won't have any powerful tool like WEX. I would like to suggest using mpq-archives instead of CASC-technology. It's the only way of saving modemaking which we have for these ten years.

How delightful. This patch sounds just wonderful.

We don't know what those natives do. Me and a couple others tried testing them but couldn't figure anything out. I also couldn't look at the natives in a dissembler because it looks like Blizzard obfuscated the executable as of patch 1.30 (similar to their other games).

Also, what does this even mean in the bug fixes section? "[World Editor] Preloader native functions (Thanks to TriggerHappy for the test map)" What was fixed?

@Kam, @MindWorX ?

In 1.30 PTR the Preloader native was broken. It flat out didn't work, so I sent MindWorX some information regarding the native so he could fix it and asked (again) if they could remove the Allow Local Files requirement. Thanks to @MindWorX for getting it done.

It looks like we're lucky it broke in PTR

Wow native JassHelper support, awesome!

Did they remove the MPQ archives war3.mpq and war3x.mpq etc.? I cannot use any War3Mod.mpq archive anymore :(

There is still a bug: My map has four different cliff types but it renders the last two as the first two. I think the game cannot render more than two different cliff types?

Hi, I am a Korean mapmaker.

Korean people change UI a lot because of language problem, but this patch is blocked. Is there any way to use it like before?

Can you explain the exact issue?

The GUI is basically English, so there are many inconveniences for people who do not know English very well. So we translated the contents of the TriggerStrings.txt file into Korean in the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\UI. We've also added a function to the TriggerData.txt file to help people who can't use JASS or vjass as a GUI. However, this patch blocked this method, protected the MPQ file, and does not force the replacement of the TriggerStrings.txt file.
As a result, maps that used that added function cannot be modified after 1.30.

I am not sure if maps can now load faster if i am just having luck/ the feeling that it is like that.

A custom map i am working on with many units that are initially on the map loaded faster and i had no lag at the beginning which usually happened there.
Also i tried to load a random map from Legends of Arkain and it feels also faster.
This appeared with the patch.

The entire game crashed for all players when I used a spell book ability on a destructible, I managed to repeat the bug... I can't confirm this is a patch thing (as I'd have to dl a version switcher) but I looked at the trigger and saw nothing strange going on there, plain vanilla GUI from 2007. Having played the map many times before and never had it crash like that I suspect that it might be. I'll update if I get around to exploring this crash some more.

The same problem with WEX, because it uses mpq-architecture. Thats why we won't have any tool like it. I think that fast standard WE is less important than normal WEX.

I'll look into this. Can you send me the files so I can test?

You should still be able to replace files with the "Allow Local Files" method. It worked on PTR at least.

The issue is not with CASC the issue is that the Blizzard is actively trying to prevent hacking. It's not as easy to hack the World Editor as it once used to be.

I sent a few demo maps reproducing crashes maps to Kam. Most of the crashes seem to be relate to how abilities target things.

One can still "overlap" World Editor data almost as one was used to, one needs to adjust the paths of the custom UI Folder placed into warcraft 3 a bit.

You can technically have 16 cliff type, same as ground types. However, the cliff texture paths are constant, and will always point to ReplaceableTextures\Cliff\cliff0.blp and cliff1.blp. So long as that doesn't change, having more cliffs will just result in weird texture usage.

Something wrong with the audio on 1.30. Sounds get distorted, I think SetMusicVolume doesn't work.
I made a comparison with same sound settings
Notice how on 1.30 music is still on, heartbeat and ability sounds get distorted.
