Well here is a pic of Entangling Strings. (It is MUI)

I tested it out and It is kinda the same however, in age of myths they went easy on it and just used a thunder clap to slow unit's in an area when it appeared. Mine is constantly slowing unit's within it and btw in age of myths it's part of another spell. And btw again mine will have a chance to entangle unit's within it making them unable to move!?!

Is that donut3.5's reaper model? Somethings I don't like about his models are that they don't have attachment points. I don't know if they have now. But back then they don't.

Anyway its a nice model. Is that spell like blink strike?

It is.
The portrait is strange but I didn't noticed the attachment point (yet).
And I dunno what blink strike is but I guess so... :wink:

Well I only play DotA in warcraft so all the spells are triggered :p
And ummm, well yes I'm usually best with Agility =)
But IceFrog's got some impressive intelligence heroes I must say... ;)

Well I compleated 1 spell:

Summons rays of light from the sky to damage enamys, but not feinds or neutrals.

Lvl1: 1 seconds cast, after whitch hero is free. Deals 45 dmg/s for 4 seconds in an area of 200.
Lvl2: 1 seconds cast, after whitch hero is free. Deals 75 dmg/s for 4 seconds in an area of 200.
Lvl3: 1 seconds cast, after whitch hero is free. Deals 105 dmg/s for 4 seconds in an area of 200.

Made with no GUI or JASS. Hope I dont get 0 on codding. atleast 5 cuz no leaks :p
Tell me if I need to nerf it a bit.

Btw, hero is Strength.

You don't need to nerf it coz the heroes or enemy can run out of this 200 AOE then it will be useless unless you have a HEX or stun to get the right damage,.

Agility is imba especially to those with Bash abilities like the Faceless Void and Troll Warlord (Perma Bash) and Yea, there are good potential late game int heroes' there like the Obsidian Destroyer. xD

Rmx is right and its hard to keep units in such a small area. Though the damage is maybe acceptable...
Will be waiting for the finished product. xD

Well, the point off such spell is for mass battles. To dmg more units that cant esscape cuz crownd is large. Spell is not menth for a single hero targeting (like Dota), but for real meele map, to kill army.

What I hate about agility's when they are my enemies are those with Bash abilities like the Faceless Void and Troll Warlord (Perma Bash) and Yea, there are good potential late game int heroes' there like the Obsidian Destroyer. xD

From 6.59 they are not Perma Bashers coz they cannot by the BASHER ... but troll and Brathrum is an execption .. Faceless is like i said late game carry hero...

The most powerfull heroes are INT ... and yes they are early game , Deals HEAVY damage and can win the game in 20 minutes .. that what should all INT do ..

But if the CARRY step up at late game ,, BKB and MANTA , HOT , BDK ,Statanic.

This is where the int go away ,, and the AGI shines...

For STR .. well some shine at late game and some don't /.. they are SEMI CaRRY

EX : Dragon knight ... Panda ... Skeleton King... SLARDAR ... NAIX .. ... alot ...

The most hated Carry is well troll , faceless , magina , many others that are AGI .. but Magina can blink and would not die that easely thus making him be carry for 80% of games...
The most hated Tanker is Axe
The most hated Semi-Carry is Skeleton King
The most hated Nuker is Zeus probaply Tinker ..
The most hated Support is Keeper of The light ( Yes he is a very very very supportive hero )
The most hated HERO of all is NAIX . can be carry .. support ... semi-carry.. Nuker ( Well nuker with his high damage ) ...LIFE STEAL FTW...

My best hero is Puck .. a Support Nuker Hero ... Late game he will be just Support .. he have Silence and Stun .. and can Escape easely..

I am sticking to war3 native ones, clockwerk gobli FTW!

I got one spell, the ultimate, but it currently lacks synergy and it's a miracle i had time to make it :p
No custom icons yet, and i think i will use the blizzard ones...

EDIT:

Well i personaly find the clockwerk goblin my favorite dota hero, puck being the second and nerubian assassin the third :p
That is why i am making a strength caster hero, Clockwerk Goblin.
It will be a more of mass suport though, not so much on hero killing.

Clockwork i a really Verastile hero .. he can play 3 roles in DOTA .. first .. a Support hero .. he is highly supportive .. second is Tanker .. making him a STR hero he can tank freely and can escape with his second ABILITY .. ability and the last a CARRY hero at late game Clockwork will be VERY VERY Powerfull ..

What makes him a powerfull hero is ...

His ULTI ability to gank easly
His 1st ability makes him an insane hero again spell caster that channels ability PUGNA :S
His Third ability making him able to control the map and to get some yummy creeos from far away ,, even First Blood if aimed right :) ..

Goblin Clockwork 6.60 item Build...

STATANIC ... ASSAULT ... HOT .... POWER TREADS ... **ARMLET or Scepter** .... BDK ..

PUCK .. Item build 6.60 ...

Not known yet didn't play with him in 6.60..

Assasin item build 6.60 ...

DAGON level 5 ... ButterFly ... BDK ... POWER TREADs ... MKB ... DESOLATOR .

Tired of writing .. but to tell the truth .. the game won't last this long to get these items ... usually i end up getting 2 bracers on Puck and Boots GUINSOO and Point Booster .. . ... don't take that as an item build coz the game with others teams and my team last tops 32 minutes thus Point Booster for increasing HP and mana needed :)

Summons a Sunray that travels to the target point of ability being cast damaging enemy units it encounters. Burns the ground liting fires that do additionl damage.Deals 50/70/100 dps + 20 dps from the fires(they have greater aoe).

Dota is difrent from melee i know that.
That is why i think i will make the test map a melee map so players can see his potential.
Though heroes in melee are too much focused :p
Example:
Lich => high damage, can't survive long without tanks
Far seer => great for support and has major defense crushing abilities
Mountain king => solo killer
Keeper of the grove => massive army support, good disables

Face it, when looking on melee heroes they are pretty imbalanced on one point and weak at the other.

If Icefrog was in this contest he would have made 10 WIP spells and decided that none was good enough XD. That's how beta goes... Ghost Ship used to be a normal ability for admiral back in the beta and he had CoCo Rum as another skill altogether.

I agree! Clockwerk is coolz! I do feel that DotA is becoming less hated now that Icefrog is remaking loads of heroes :).
I will also be using Blizzard icons and models cos I want to XD

Also, a note to everyone: your heroes should have spells that will not lag or lag only slightly in a massive clash. Imagine 12 of your hero using all of the abilities at once. If it causes fatal lag, work on it :)

Man. I cant make a good trigger spell. Actions are giving me hell of a time -.-
Just cant finde what I need. And I dont know JASS.

Anyway martyn our spells are totaly diferent :p

Rmx, I tested your hero and was rather impressed... Actually no. There is a hero already made for a hero contest (not on the Hive, on WC3C) and I tested him a while after the contest started. Basically, the hero also had a dash skill and a skill extremely similar to your knockback. Not that I'm saying you copied or anything, just thought you might want to know. You could try him and some of the other entries here. Its a 7z file, you'll need 7zip or something to open it.
Its always good to do some research before you embark on something
Anyway, it would be better testing if you reduced the manacost of the abilties. Especially Horn Drill. Mountain King has an ability as good (if not better) than your hero at 3/8 the mana cost. That's rather drastic... The mana cost for Ice Charge is rather huge as well, I don't know how your hero is going to support 3 200-mana spells with a mana pool of about 350. Its easy to reduce the mana cost :)

I am always a bit curious about spells that cost more mana on a higher level. I can see the point of it, but it's not a usual thing for Warcraft unless it is a hero based map like DotA. I like increasing costs though...

Your tooltip is a bit small so I can't see it clearly. Does it have a Hotkey?

Hm. I got spells worked out more or less

1) Rays of light come dow and damage enamies. Cast 1 second, hero is free after.
2) Creates an explozion of Holy Fire attargeted location, stunning and dealing dmg to units in the AoE.
3) An aura that will do somth. Efect is done, just need idea what do do.
4) [Ulty] Calls down hammers of light from the sky to dmg all enamy units in an aeria of 700 around the hero.
Ulty cinda sux. Basicly a StarFall.

Are hero abilityes to offense. I mean, they are, but is it good, or should I change.
Also, what should I use trigers for. Didnt use em for spells, and I need some on the map for rating. ts 15 and thats a lot.

Ye. I am thrying to make a passive ulty.

Sopose to: When hero is attacked, gived 40% chance that all units in aeria of 250 are attacked by (effect i got from hive) and are delt 50 dmg.
Will be balanced.
Only few problems for now.
1) only units attacked are units that attacked and unit with passive ability.
2) They are awyas attacked. My 40% chance condition doesnt work.

I would ask for help and stuff, but I cant during the contest :/
