Hero Contest #4 - Animalistic Nature

    Demo Map is attached. I haven't messed around with most of the tooltip information, so expect some inaccuraries or just flat out wrong information. Tauren Smash, second spell, still isn't finished, but works as a stable AoE stomp for knocking back units. Feral Strike is done, but can be changed based upon any suggestion. Panther Instincts is finished. Animal rage needs to be implemented and hidden via spellbook to protect people from seeing the level-able up part of the spell (only 1 level is taken, but it uses multiple levels as part of spell)

    I have included lots of documentation inside the triggers tab as trigger comments. Please note that this is STILL a work in progress, anything and everything is subject to change according to my whims. Full credits are going to be given at my final entry, and I believe I've covered all of them in my earlier WiP.

    Any suggestion/feedback about triggers, hero aesthetics, and especially bugs are welcome and encouraged. And yes there is an accidental Z in the map name due to a brain fart.

    Hero Name

    Jastra, the dark elf


    Hero Description/Lore

    Her parents and twin sister was killed by a ferocious beast when she was still very young.
    She vowed to avenge their deaths and therefore joined the new hunting order for training.

    Now, Jastra is one of the elite members of the new hunting order of the wood elf community. She is powerful
    enough to fulfill her vow and requested that she must be assign to a hunting party formed by their
    leader to slay a powerful beast who terrorizes their home, but their leader refuses because she is still
    considered young and reckless. Jastra was angry to their leader's decision and plans to go alone to hunt
    the beast but her coleauges caught her as she leaves and brought her to their leader.
    Jastra was charged with treason and the penalty for that is to take all of her powers and be on exile.

    Because of her eagerness for revenge, she survived and has learned new skills and called herself, the Dark Elf.


    Spell 1: Locust Raid

    Jastra throws a magical bottle that has locusts inside. When the bottle breaks, the angry locusts follows and attacks nearby random enemy units. The locusts cannot be controlled by anyone.
    If the targeted unit dies, then Jastra can control it. Number of locust depends on how many enemies in the AoE.

    Spell 2: Twin Wolves

    Summons two uncontrollable escort wolves which cannot attack but each one has an individual spell. One wolf can damage an enemy ground unit while the other can heal allied units.
    Wolves lasts for 60 seconds or when Jastra dies. You may only summon 2 wolves at a time.

    Spell 3: Enchanted Bottles (Passive)

    Gives a chance to have an Area of Effect damage when Jastra casts her spell Locust Raid.

    |cffffcc00Level 2|r - 20% chance, deals 120 damage
    |cffffcc00Level 3|r - 35% chance, deals 150 damage


    Spell 4 : Forbidden Wrath (Ultimate)

    Jastra ourburst her anger when she thinks of her murdered family, creating images of the beast. Because she doesnt exactly remember what the beast looks like, she summons 3 powerful creatures instead.
    A Red Dragon, Salamander Lord and a Dragon Turtle. During the entire duration of the spell, Jastra cannot be controlled, can't move, can't gain level and cannot be seen.
    Jastra will be back to her normal state when the spell expires or if all 3 beast dies. Spell lasts 60 seconds and cannot be cancelled.

    Here's a WIP for Tam. It has The Hunt (renamed Wolf Pack), Debilitating Strike, and Call of the Wolf done, and a nice map with some enemies. There's some keyboard events for leveling and healing, you'll have to look them up in the triggrs.

    I like the idea behind the hero.
    I know that your project is underdevelopment state despite I'll point some things, that should help you, especially about balance:

    - even that wolves aren't mutant beasts there are too powerfull in case losing one of them does not matter if you can get new one so easily.
    solution:

    a) reduce the chance for summoning wolf
    b) give expiration timer to each summoned unit

    - healing ability is also quite powerfull, I'd recommend using differend formula instead of constant values.
    It would be best if units were healed by amount (%) of lost hp, the les hp they got, the more they'll recieve from spell

    - ultimate isn't anything special if one of your abilities already summons the same wolves, just more of them.
    Make it unique ability, summoning either new wolves or improving the ones yet summoned.
    You could for e.g. pause expiration time for wolves during duration of ultimate.

    Those are just few ideas. Your choice if you use them or not. Anyway, it could help you invent new ways for improving hero even if you don't use any of them.

    I decided to make a new hero because harpy thing was not really working out.

    Lore:
    Once upon a time in in the ancient world of Sindorei existed one Highborn. She was very talented sorceress. During a great sundering she was turned into a vile naga, but kept her kind good heart. During merciless raid on orc ship she saved an orc baby. She delivered the baby to the tribe of snake worshiping mur'guls. She used her magic to decieve mur'guls that baby was new snake goddess. The girl grew constantly getting stronger with various weapons. On the day that she was presumed to mature she was given a snake. Then mur'gul chieftain did a terrible thing. he soulforged Nagini and snake, giving them psychic link, but also linking their faiths together. If one died, so would the other. Snake who has been used in various magic rituals mutated and Mur'guls decided they wanted their goddess to watch over them for eternity. They ensued the ritual which would turn nagini to crystal and condemned her to eternity of imprisonment. Then Nagini choose a different destiny. She killed the tribe of selfish mur'guls and ran to the open lands searching for her destiny. In combat she mirrors the snake and shares a deep bond with her snake as well. She is also able to call upon an ancient snake dance, her only demigod power that is devastating to almost all mortals.

    Abilities:
    Poison Blades: [​IMG]
    Increases the damage of Nagini and applies poison which inflicts damage per second. Nagini also gets Poison Accumulation ability which allows her to deal 50 damage and stun for 2 seconds every unit that has slow poison buff, after that, this buff is dispelled.

    Catalyses poison in every victim around Nagini causing 50 damage and stuning for 2 seconds.
    Snake Spit: [​IMG]
    The snake spits a wad of goo which causes unit to suffer from poison damage and armor penalty and has it's movement restrained. Flying units are landed.

    He doesn't need to be covered in ice for his abilities to have an ice theme. Look at the Lich, for example.

    He should be animal themed.

    Btw your model looks like hes on mega steroids. Good look for convicts, not for tauren. Maybe tone down the arms just a touch?
