Afterlife v5.2

Story:
The jeep of your Special Forces Team has broken down on the road into a nuclear wasted city. You send a message to the Base, now you only have to wait for the pickup...

Gameplay:
You and your allies start at the same location. You roam around the map to gather ammo, weapons, equipment and turrets.
Each weapon has a corresponding ammo-type. The goal is to survive all waves of zombies. You need good teamwork and foresight in order to succeed.


About the map:
This is a continuation of Xelephant and Alex-Knight's map Afterlife 4.0.
Permission is granted by Xelephant, thought not by Alex-Knight (who is probably inactive).

What I have changed/added
  • polished models
  • polished icons
  • some quality skins
  • rebalanced zombies
  • new items (Adrenaline, Boots, Cooling system etc.)
  • new turrets
  • reworked the entire weapon equipment system
    • changing weapon no longer replaces the unit
    • new natives are used to change dmg/splash. Even thought they are (still) bugged. I made it work with a workaround
  • added a hard difficulty with 2 additional waves
  • if you type "-save" there is now a generated .txt file (no auto load but at least you can copy paste now)
  • fixed stuff that reforged broke (UI)
  • few terrain changes
  • and a lot more listed in the map's changelog

What I did not change
  • the general appearance of the map
  • the gameplay should remain the same (except the rebalancing)
  • weapon and ammo types

While the map is still similar to the original, it contains some great improvements.
Also I plan do add more enhancements such as weapons, better bosses behaviour as well as some terrain changes, to name a few of them.

  • doubled battery and oil ammo drops
  • fixed few minor bugs
  • deleted few unused stuff

As you have said. Simple words aren't an evidence.

As you might have noticed: I'm clearly annoyed. I didn't put hours of effort into this map just to be called a liar and have this silly discussion. If you have no prove for your claims, don't make them.

For edits of existing maps, the onus is on the person to show they have permission. I don't think anyone called you a liar; it is just you are expected to make the effort to show you have been in contact with the original author.

Quoted Map Submission Rules:
2. Rightful Author

In most circumstances, the map must originally be by you. However if the following conditions apply, you may submit an edited version of someone else's map:
- If you are editing an existing map by someone else you must request permission to create your own version. If the author cannot be reached or does not reply, you have permission to edit the map. However, if the author ever replies or comes back, he/she may request your map to be taken down.
- If the author has made it open source, you may upload your radically edited version of the map.
  • The map does not contain any license or message from the author denying you from submitting a version of the map.
  • In all cases, you must give credit to the original author.

Quote from Afterlife 4.0:
This map is no longer protected, you are free to edit the code for your own gains. Maybe someone somwhere can learn from this small mess i made.

So by Rule 2, 2nd point, you are not even obliged to ask me about permission. Also, I don't see any point saying "you need to have your conversation screen-shotted".

What you probably refer to is this:

Quote of Resource Submission Rules:
  • Submission of resources consisting of or containing parts of material made by another member of the Warcraft 3 modding community without substantial modification requires proof of the author's documented and verifiable permission.
Which as far as I know does not apply to the map submission rules.
Also you're right. Nobody called me a liar. But saying "I don't trust your words" implies I don't speak the truth, which is the definition of a liar.
