Substandard/Too Simple Models [The Culling]

There's an ongoing discussion (Models "Substandard/too simple" section is stupid) about former rejected/deleted models that made it to Hive 2.0 in the Substandard/Too Simple section.

Thing is, leaving it just to poker chats won't do so, I urge the community to go through the models forums and post here what they think has no place on this site. I've been told that reporting them via the Report button/feature would make it difficult for the staff to properly get that information.

Things like:

-models ripped from other games than those belonging to Blizzard Entertainment
-models uploaded (from other sites/places) without permission
-useless models like the cheap edit of a Warcraft III Knight leaving it without its head or sword etc.
-Warcraft III models uploaded with a different skin
-models that are supposed to belong to a pack (eg: having the same preview image with all the models in it but the model in the respective thread is only one of those shown in the preview picture)
-models without a proper preview image or without any
-those that have a different preview image and name from what the model's looks imply
-duplicates or multiple copies of the same model or very similar models
-model threads with lacking description from the author's part or in a different language than English
-models with improper to no tags
-those not having proper animations or missing decay, death and so on animations
-Blizzard Entertainment (includes rips) related models should be moved in the main forum unless they're bad or something (ripped by someone and uploaded without permission etc.)
-those that you think shouldn't be in that section and moved to the Models forum

Examples:
rohanridersword2 is named sword and the picture also shows that but in reality the warrior has an axe. The actual model with the sword is this: rohanridersword and this one is has axe in its name but the model has a sword: rohanrideraxe.

No Name called No Name while it looks like a flower.

Who knows if models like: Inferno Cannon Animated are actually not ripped from another game and specially made for WcIII?

Cheap edits: ChaosWolfrider and Hellscream.

Beastmaster WcIII models uploaded with a different skin (also the description is not in English).

There are many Arthas models or WoW and even WcIII models that are either copies or very similar: RockinArthas (this one doesn't even have tags) to UndeadArthas1 (also without tags) and UndeadArthasCinema.

Collections (should be cluttered not uploaded one by one): earth, moon and jupiter.

ss_broly might be a rip from a game. Many of these kinds have the tag Anime. This one however, doesn't. optimized White Mage (Final Fantasy 9) high probability of being a game rip.

Name has no name, no tags and no preview image but the model exists (can be seen in the 3D viewer). Footman somewhat improper thread name, incorrect preview image and the model looks broken.

Stolen models/uploaded without permission: Lich King. The moderator wrote that it was stolen. Better check for moderator comments too.

BE Battle Master. From what I remember nowadays, BlizzEnt models are allowed so better check for these too.

Shadow. Models like this, either rips or not but without proper animations and such.

So, please people, it would do wonders to the site if you could help out as much or little as you can. Just post here the links to the problematic models.

So you just sorted model section by oldest and report 2004 ressources.
Clotaire and killst4r are legit user.They uploaded their model in 2004 that's why they look low standard now but they were the only one doing models at the time.
Most of your report from model section are model from wc3sear.ch merge and thier site was different they didn't have ressource pack and internal name of model were not displayed.Don't report them because they are not named correctly or not in a pack.
The aura model is a hero glow and was actualy a useful ressource at the time.
ssborly and shadow model are not game rips just bad quality.
inferno cannon is not a game rip.
Norinrad is a legit modeler his models are not "reskin".
Why do you report "Alleria" model because the user based his portrait on Jaina model and main model is Sylvanas?Portrait and model don't have to be the same base model.
Tarrasque models are not rip.

Before you spend more time on this I would like to set up a Google Doc spreadsheet with all substandard models inside along with moderator review, title, author and link. Then there would be a field with what action to take "no action", "delete", "pending", "approve" and then I will ask for everyone's help so we can get the section under control.

Did you even read what I wrote? I said Clotaire's descriptions are in French. And because there was a link of that other site in his descriptions I asked if someone could point out if the models were his or not.

Just saying. It's not something you see everyday and I'm not sure whether it should be moved to Substandard maybe because of that?

Why aren't you doing this thing (too), since you've started the discussion in the first place, if you know so much about the models!? HMM!?

Waiting for it.
So, the rest of the models (approved ones) are not to be checked? There are some that seem to be rather appropriate for the Substandard section.

Please, nobody asked you to dig through 10 year old models and report everything you find unusual by 2016 standards of modding.

Your idea could go in the right direction, Mr. @deepstrasz, but,
as you just stated yourself, you lack modelling experience.
Any kind of purge should, if happening at all, be done by people
who are both skilled and experienced enough.
Everything else leads to nowhere.

I am not saying that you made a total mistake, I am saying
that you probably chose they wrong area.

I'm trying to open the eyes of the part of this community who has any expertise in the matter. I've also expressed my views in what order would look like in a forum.
I'm not trying to take anyone's duty. Maybe, I've exaggerated on some points but I just wanted to show that it can be done if people really want to.

Of course only commenting is simple and doing something about it is hard.

Staff is here to deal with approving or removing resources. Your listings won't help them as they will have to view each link to be sure you haven't messed up and reported a valid resource. In my opinion it is a bad idea to even try filtering substandard section.

My goal would in the first place be to remove anything that a moderator/reviewer has deemed as rip/stolen/illegal/inappropriate. This way I don't have to look at the actual resource.

Deepstrasz is, while perhaps slightly overzealous, absolutely in the right & doing a good thing. It's not his job to say what should happen to the models, and he knows that (those are just suggestions, based on his arbitrary criteria stated in the post). But instead of waiting around for the people with the talent, skills & resources necessary to do the job to do it, he took it upon himself to begin the laborious gathering process, saving all of us & the Staff a lot of time.

Callahan's comment is exactly what needs to happen. A public Google Doc will be a great step as well.

I am super lazy to do those stuff, but I am sure mostly high quality Final Fantasy model are ripped (because I also rip it too)
