Rolling crit chart... 2. Unexpected Success!
Mourg runs toward Huntico, on the way hitting a rock on the ground and falling over it.
A strange *click* is heard, and suddenly a door opens in the ground, slamming right into Huntico leaving him unconsious on the ground. A strange magical sound is coming from the opened door in the cave floor.


OOC: okay, that was that. Doing Derek's sheet now.

IC: Geeron strode over and picked up the fire gem, he put it in a pouch, he would hold onto it for now.

IC: It seemed that the door led straight downwards, like a shaft in the ground.
The strange thing was that just about five meters down the shaft, was what defenetely looked like a portal.

Huntico started to gain conscious. He quickly rose to sit. He didn't see the rock. Damn, that thing will pay for this. He might have my gem. He will die after this.

Mourg grunted at the feel of the cold metal. It felt... familiar, somehow. Standing up and pondering the origins of the metal floor, Mourg turned to the problem at hand for a moment; getting some kind of light. He remembered the gem that Geeron had claimed from Huntico (who had recovered and followed the others into the portal). Perhaps it could be used to get some light in here.

A very obvious Lore check is needed.

OOC: ah ;) okay.

IC:
Geeron made a small cut in the gem.
Suddenly, a enormous heat spread throughout the room.
The edge of Geeron's soulblade became glowing with warmth for a little time, then it went back to normal.
Until, the little Raven sitting on Geeron's shoulder, started burning.
It screeched as its feathers were devoured by flames, until it fell to the ground as ashes.
Silence filled the room for a second, but then the ashes started moving, and from the ashes rose a little pheonix, which started flying around geeron's head.

And really... now when there's light, none of you need a lore check to know what's around you.

IC: Mourg looks around, and finds himself sitting in a large cavern. What's special about this cavern though, is that the walls are full of [Plot Importance Warning!] Chaos Ore veins.

LORE: Chaos Ore.
Chaos Ore is normal iron that has been in a long-time contact with an Anomaly.
The ore gets warped into a highly magical metal that is prized all over the world for it's ability to randomly sprout out magic.
A sword that is made out of 10% chaos ore and 90% iron costs about 300.000 gold coins.
The most possible anomaly chaos ore to sprout from is Undead creatures.

Geeron turned swiftly, taking up a fighting stance, his blade glowing with the fire. " Wh- What is that?" He asked in surprise. (lore check or something :D)

Geeron saw a black silhouette of a man floating in the middle of the room.
Dark power were flowing in visible streams all around it.
These streams of dark power apparently came from the chaos ore all around the room, making the spectre look chained, which Geeron were sure it werent.

DM: Lore Check: 1. Fail.
Geeron knows nothing special about this spectre, or black spectres in general.

Geeron noticed that the orc was getting ready to cast, and charged the spectre, his sword blazing. ( charge check i guess. Oh and remember mah agillity bonus. :D)

Darek looked at the figure in the middle of the room. he drew his scythe bur didn't charge yet. he was locked up in this dungeon for a long time because he underestimated his opponent, he wouldn't make the same mistake. he would fight but not take any risks, he had to find out what this THING is capable of. no matter what he had to try and keep his cool.

Let's see your roll...

DM: Spell Check: Roll (1d6: Critical Hit chance lowered by three due to Chaos Vein.): 5. Critical Hit!
Rolling Crit Chart: 5. Pwn!
Mourg felt necrotic power flowing through him. The others saw him get enveloped in a dark orb of magic, and suddenly a volley of dark energy flew towards the spectre.
The spectre hissed, and tried to evade...

DM: Dodge Check: Roll (1d6: -5 for Volley Attack): 1. (-4).
...and fails miserably. It is struck by every single orb of dark magic, soon followed by a last big strike: The black orb of magic around Mourg flew towards the spectre at enormous speed and collided with a scream-like noise.

OOC:
Remember your Pheonix mato2 ;)

DM: Charge: Roll (1d6 +2): 3. (5).
Geeron charged the weakened spectre with his burning soulblade.
As a desperate measure the spectre tries to hit Geeron with a necrotic blast...

DM: Spell Check: Roll (1d6 +10 for Chaos Link): 2. (12).
...leaving Geeron with two choices: Try to avoid the giant orb of dark magic while running towards the spectre or jump to the side and abandon the charge.

Darek sees Geeron charging the specter and sees an opening, while the specter is focused on geeron he could charge freely whiteout being noticed. and so he would, Darek charges at the spectre.

Derek charges the spectre, lunging at it with his scythe.
The spectre, having no chance to avoid, takes a direct hit...

DM: Melee Attack: (1d6 + 5 for Tactical Bonuses): 6. Critical Hit!
Rolling crit chart: 1. Extreme Success.
Derek roars as he slashes at the spectre with his scythe.
The runes on it glows red, and a "Schliiiiiiiiing" sound fills the room.
The spectre screams, and retreats. The dark orb flying towards Geeron vanishes, and suddenly the room starts shaking.
"Loaaz Metranko, Zephiran Eternum."
The chaos ore around the room starts to glow, more than it usually does, and then suddenly the shaking stops.

"what was that shaking? and why is the ore glowing?" Darek moves back slowly prepared far any attack. "tell me, what do you people know about this ore, personally I'm not interested in stones at all but it seems rather strange on second thought."
