OOC: Sigh...

OOC: Also Flat it's a Spellcraft/Intell check not learn spell check.
May i point out the fact that this is MY custom system and that i am the only one knowing how it works? :(

This place is crawling with undead.

It isn't SoL. Maybe it is later in, but where you are right now you the undead count is 0.

IC:
As Taiion spoke to the orc, being a jerk (but roleplaying well, i must say.), he got a feeling that the book wanted to kick him between the legs. It's leather binding turned black.

OOC EDIT: Also flat, you will need alot of time, more knowledge in the languege of infernal, and a place where you won't be disturbed to learn spells from the book at it's current state.

"I believe we outnumber you three to one," Mourg said, opening the door to let the newcomer in. "Even a fourth of that book could last you more than a year to read, based on the gibberish it's written in." Stepping in front of the vampire, he said, "I believe that you have failed to prove your importance to us, too, so let's start out with a good experience."

"Well let's find this dead man and find any ........ book? What is it written in?" Huntico became confused. What book of magic is in Taiion's hands? He stood next to the door. (Need a sight and hearing check)

OOC: Ok now to look around the room.

IC: Huntico walks around the room to look at the items around the room. (anything of interest)

OOC: taiion never met huntico, so he has no idea who he is or what he sounds like, and huntico doesent know him or his name. Dragonson: Ok DM you wish is my command. :)

IC:

Taiion said to the orc, again in a mocking voice: "You dare challange me? fine, let us see what you are made of! His sword flashed in front of him, hovering. Taiion Focused his energies in front of him. trying to summon a ball of necrotic energies. (Spell Check)

OOC: don't worry, i wont do anthig stupid. but taiion has plans, and he doesent want interruption. i'm just trying to rp him how he would act is all.

Mourg drew his soulblade and quickly jumped back from the swinging sword, now glowing faintly purple. He cast his own spell, hoping to confuse his opponent's mind.

OOC: Spell check. This is my only spell, the one that clouds undead minds. Vampires are undead, right?

OOC: they are. Lets see...
DM: Roll (1d6): 6. Rolling for critical hit (1d6): 6. Übarpwn!
(You're down on luck Flat...)
Mourg's hands suddenly surged with necrotic magic, channelling a blast of rage and will right towards Taiion, who flew backwards.
DM: Mourg learned new spell: Necrotic Wave.

OOC: Hmmm... that wasn't quite what I expected. Well, new spells are always fun, so I'm not complaining.

Mourg walked over to the vampire. Tacking the book out of his pocket, he ripped part of it out and dropped it on the vampire's chest. Going over to Geeron and the human newcomer, he ripped sections out and handed them to both people. Pocketing the remains, he returned to the vampire and offered him his hand.

"Nicely done, even though i was expecting more of a fight based on all the talk." Geeron now knew the elder vampire had lost his powers, this would be a breeze.

"Clam down, if you want a fight then let's get the black whatever head to the lord. Then you guys can fight over the book." Huntico knew that the party was doomed and he would take advantage later.

"Good idea," Mourg replied. The vampire seemed to be out cold, so Mourg turned around and headed down the dark hallway. "There's something in there worth protecting; there was some kind of ward on the door that destroyed the shade. Maybe there's an exit."

OOC: Flat, I am growing tired of calling your character "the vampire." I would appreciate it if Mourg would learn your name soon.

Taiion got up suddenly, and grabbed his remenat of the book, staring at the orc. furious. He hissed and his sword flashed in front of him. He gatherd fourth his power and tried to launch it at the orc. (Taiion magic burst check)

OOC: lol that was funny, but you got him REALLY mad. i'm just rp-ing how he would react, hes not exactly going to be busom friends with somone who did that...

DM: Spell Check: Roll (1d6): 6. Rolling critical hit chart (1d6): 3: Good Stuff!
Taiion fires a burst of magic at Mourg, but the magic suddenly disappears.
A humming sound fills the room, and the two peices of the book begins shimmering.
Slowly both books begin refilling the missing space.
Voila! Book x2. One of the book has a black star (taiion's) on it's cover, the other a red moon (mourg's).

" I'm tired of these games, just follow me." Said Geeron, and burst through the sun door, ready for anything.

"Now, is not the time" said Geeron, he flung out one arm, and pointed to the pitch black that could be seen down the hall, he focused, and tried to illuminate the hall, with a ray of light. (Spell check i guess)

Mourg, following the others, decided that he would simply avoid the older vampire as much as possible. The experience had hardly gone well. He took a look at the book at his belt, and curiously picked it up and opened it.

OOC: I apologize for the long absence, again. But real life is more important than RP'ing, so I'm afraid I can't promise to be on time. Just assume Mourg is tagging along if I'm not around.

"Nice spell book, to bad it's in demonic." He read the page Mourg was on. "Well I wonder, you might and try to merge it with your soul blade."

OOC: SoL... this is NOT DND!
And really, you could aswell have suggested that he joined a occult group of mages that pledge their lives on self-caused pain.
Soulblades are serious dude.

IC:
DM: Spell Check: Roll (1d6): 5.
A beam of light flashes out towards the end of the corridor, but as it reaches the darkness at the end of the corridor it disappears.

Taiion:
Taiion saw that the spell on the first page had vanished.
The text was now in elvish, and he could easily understand it.
On the first page were a spell named "Orkhun Etman" (Black Star Rising).
But as Taiion looked at the next page, it were all blank. So were the rest of the book.
Suddenly, a urge to cast the first spell rose in Taiion's mind. (will check required if you do NOT want to cast the spell.)

Mourg:
The spell on the first page looked exactly the same as when Taiion had first looked at it (it were in infernal and the few words that Mourg understood were ones like "Carpet of the target's veins.) Though, now they seemed to jump right into Mourg's mind when he read them, and slowly he understood.
The first spell were called "Xzkrizt O!lma%z" (The Blood Weaver.), and involved litterally weaving a carpet out of the target's blood veins.

OOC: That's diffrent... weaving a rug out of my target's veins? My house will soon have some strange decoration...

Mourg shot a glare at the ranger next to him, and considered using his newfound spell on the obnoxious elf. He decided against it, however, and instead flipped to the next page.

DM: Spell Check: Roll (3d6): 14.
Taiion mumbles the words for the spell, and suddenly he feels power surge through him.
His soulblade turns pitch black, and black flames sprout from his eyes.
A rune appears on the next page of the book, and a rune appears in Taiion's left palm.

IC MOURG:
Mourg sees another strange spell, but it is as if it will not teach itself to him yet.
He understands a few words, such as "Blood" and "Soup".

Mourg made a mental note to seek out a warlock when he got out of this place. Noticing the result of the vampire's spellcasting, Mourg looked around for a suitable target for his rug spell.

OOC: It seems a bit unfair that Flat and I get these awesome spellbooks, and everyone else has a handfull of old indecipherable demonic spells. I'm guessing that the next dungeon will result in loot for the others?

OOC: Cow, my guy is not human, he's dark elf.

IC: Walking ahead from the wizards to scout (scout check). "This group is turning out to be a bit too blood thirsty." He whispered to himself, with his eyes still looking out at the darkness.

OOC: you do realize that vampires can and will hear even the slightest of whispers right SoL?
Oh, and shouldn't i get a book too, cause i got a piece of the first one >.>

IC: Geeron saw the illuminated hall, he could see it in the dark as well, but he lit it so the canon fodder can pass through, and if that damn ranger didn't get killed, ho would probably kill him himself, by the time they find the exit. The dungeon was enough on it's own without the added burden of someone like him...

OOC: No offence :D
