Contest Theme: Critters

Contestants are to make a model of a critter. This is any sort of animal or whatnot that does not (usually :p) attack, like rabbits, deer, bats, etc.

contest%20rules%20and%20conditions.png

  1. Your model must contain a stand, walk, and death anim
  2. There is no poly limit but please keep it reasonable
  3. You can use either ingame or custom textures (just be sure to submit them along with your entry)

  • No submission may violate any Hive Workshop site rules.
  • The model must follow the current theme. If any model does not fit, a moderator will tell you ASAP as to avoid confusion.
  • You have to make sure the model is fully and correctly functional in-game.
  • You must post at least 1 WIP preview before the deadline.
  • You may make as many models as you want, however pick only one for the final judge's evaluation.
  • To qualify for entry, you must post your model(s) in .mdx format, and an in-game screenshot of the model.
  • You must post your entry before the deadline expires and attach it to a post.
  • You must make the model for this competition, which means that you cannot use old works.

is courage a critter? :D
No
questions:
-would something cute would count as a critter even if it is not a real animal??
Well most of the things in WC3 aren't real so sure. As long as it's sorta something that's more of an environment "extra" and not a creep, then it fits. :D
-is there a face limit??[/QUOTE]

That's in the first post I think

forget about that ice age thing, im going to be doing a frostwyrm cub, WIP:

A baby dragon is actually a whelp, but that sounds like a great idea. I need an idea as good as that before I join, but I will keep my mind open for any inspiration. Perhaps a maggot, or a fish...

Kitabatake, your WIP is not a cuddly porcupine, but a vicious blood-soaked zombie. I really, really hope that isn't your vision of a porcupine, for the sake of your sanity.

Will, isn't Chthulhu the complete opposite of a critter? When I think of Chthulhu, I imagine death and destruction and horror...

Courage would be a critter since he's a dog, but he did banished some ghosts there, finished with that assasin granny there, dealed with the assasins by there... not a critter, for shuzah. Though a model (perhaps a map o_O) would be interesting. Yeah, it looks a sea horse. (Because of the lack of the other parts of the body. Is there any seahorse model for war? Like a night elf using magic to breathe under water and battle mounted on a sea horse against the naga? :p)

Edit: Does that Giraffe have rabies? :O

Good luck!

Good luck to all the modelers out there at HiveWorkShop.

Hope to see some good models in the competition and may the best 3 models/modelers win!

Can't wait to see what people have to put up,
Lag_Reviews :p

PS: Will there be a vote system for the puplic to have a say on who should win?

nevermind about changing it, but as of now that head is too high poly for a unit (specially a critter) so I'll just make a whoop-ass texture and lower the current one, i'll use that as a portrait. here's a pic of a concept, i remember these could be passive pets in WoW http://warcraftpets.com/news/images/big/frosty_big.jpg

What is it?

your child turned undead, a frostwyrm whelp *cackle*

i wasn't going to do it anyways, but the reason it's not a critter is because it's a main character.

A frostwyrm critter would be sweet for a Northrend map. Have them flying around and such. If you're not allowed to enter it here, you should still release it. =p
