"A defense-style single-player map, where you are playing as blue dragon Kalecgos during events of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.
Collect elementium, use draconic powers and the help of the allied Winterpelt furbolg tribe to seal ravenous elemental rift until vile Primalists destroy you, and the rest of Azeroth afterwards!"


STORY


"Azure Span - lands beautiful to be kissed and harsh to be cursed enough.
But in the middle of the War against Fyrakk, an "SOS" signal was emitted by the Winterpelt Tribe.
Take control of Kalecgos and help your allies finish their ritual!"

  • The map was released!
  • DIFFICULTY SELECTION: Now Kalecgos can choose 1 out of 3 difficulties before game start. It's valuable to note that only HARD difficulty applies the failure timer! Otherwise, difficulty affects the handicap (both health and damage) of Primalist enemies and the timespan when their officers & hero enemies will unlock.
  • BOSS WAS REVAMPED: Still Elementhar, but now with more quirks. He took his lessons, and each game will learn different spells to deal with you. Oh, no,w now he can reflect spells. Don't worry - with a long cooldown.
  • Addressed the bug of Melee T2 spell - now it should properly unlock.
  • Fixed small typos across the map description.
  • Fixed small typos across map units, spell descriptions, hero spells, etc.
  • Rebalanced Tuskar Merchant pricelist: now he takes only gold, not elementium, and costs are tweaked: 125/400 gold instead of 250 gold / 4 elementium
  • Small balance changes across all enemies, affecting Primalist at most.

I'd appreciate any bug reports, suggestions, and tips!

Close enough to my other base defense map. However, this silly little story of Kalec differs in many cases:
  • Soothing atmosphere and music.
  • Randomized nearly everything: from quests up to units you can hire.
  • Understandable gameplay loop.
  • Quick paced.
But, anyway, I would like to hear your dearest opinions, reviews, and suggestions. This is a little map that I will mostly support with bug fix versions, but who knows...
Maybe you will propose something cool?

And yes - count current release as MVP since map will indeed will have features from my other base defense map "Battle of Darrowshire": selecting difficulty at least.

Quaint little adventure!

Bugs:
Tier 2 warrior upgrade did not unlock their lifeleech.

Suggestion:
- The constant attacks made it hard to venture onto any optional objective, maybe add some breathing time now and then.
Also felt a little too stressful (subjective point, others might enjoy the pressure) - alleviated somewhat by the custom music.
- The boss seemed very weak, thus needs a buff (war stomp and polymorph kept him under control, didn't even get to see his abilities).

  • In terms of bugs, I will fix them in the upcoming first update.
  • Suggestions:
    • I tried to make it more casual, as you see in the video - I had a few issues dividing my army and finishing all objectives outside base camp. It's also valuable to note that they are randomized along with their rewards and sometimes you can get "Vyranoth Assistance", which simply creates additional enemy barracks for the whole P1 of gameplay.
    • Maybe I will add a simple difficulty selection at gameplay start.
    • About boss - I'm looking to make him more randomized and less vulnerable to control effects, which will be addressed in the first update.
Thank you for your suggestions, I find them quite handful.
