Seems like a neat WoW fragment metamorphosed into Warcraft III. Has really nice cinematics too. Sadly it seems exclusively dedicated to masochist fans. Thanks to the Chernobyl Brotherhood channel for extensive video taping. Approved. If you want...

This is a campaign from the Chinese language warcraft 3 community. Hopefully we can "give back" in the sense that by sharing many campaigns from their community, it will inspire Hiveworkshop creators to make more campaigns, and then their community can play those campaigns when their translators bring Hive campaigns to their community (so in this way, they can benefit also).

wow, the final mission when we storm icecrown... can it be played in any other difficulty other than easy? i played on normal and had to cheat/gave up.

  1. saving green dragon: endless waves of undeads paired with raise/animate dead from necros and valkyries, with an injured green dragon that doesnt help and takes forever to heal... how?
  2. syndragosa: since attacking air units with heroes is not strictly required throughout the campaign, together with the lack of good orb artifacts, who would have thought to keep 2 orbs of fire on tirion (an extra for varian) when theres an over abundance of blue/purple artifacts? so basically went against syndragosa with just jaina and a bunch of riflemens... a really difficult fight...
  3. lich king: if you forgot to save before entering the boss room, will have waste a few precious seconds to scramble to rearrange the artifacts dropped by tirion. and with tirion, the one and only burst healer, out of play, how do you even handle healing against lich king and his mobs? pretty sure lich king out-dps all the heals available, but i cant really rotate cos my other front lines need to tank the mobs.

Honestly, the hard difficulty is too hard at times. Especially most of the bosses in the last chapter are undefeatable. For example they one-shot your units (Marrowgar), damage half of all your units' HP by AOE every few seconds (Arthas), or self-heal so much you basically do zero dmg (Valanar), etc. When a boss wipes half your units in under a minute (and still has over 90% HP) no matter what you do, it's not "hard", it's frustrating and excessive in terms of difficulty.

Apart from that, the campaign is well-made and I haven't encountered any major bugs.
The custom items are a nice addition (but I don't get why would you create item crafting system, use it only in like two chapters, then forget about it. Maybe I missed some recipes, but I don't think so, since I always scoured the entire map and did all side quests).

The biggest downside of this campaign is that it's kind of bland due to playing (and facing) mostly the same old races and units most of the time. But at least there are some customs spells etc.

Can you please do a screen shot of this ring and where you get this item ? beacause i have this shadow pearl and i dont know what i can do with it :xxd:

1756135290795.png

theres a quest reward which lets you choose between a ring and something else. think its from the jaina-model witch in the forest. so as you can see from above, im stuck on the final upgrade missing the shadow pearl. I suspect i missed it as a loot from the green dragon, but too lazy to reload and find it.

Admittedly I am playing this on Hard (and it doesn't get much better on lower difficulties), but... the difficulty is just not fun, the micro missions are passable difficulty wise with a bit of continuous saving and trial and error but the macro/base building missions are just... straight up not fun and this is a common theme amongst all the campaigns of this author.

Ch3 wasn't as bad difficulty wise and I was enjoying it until I encountered the Lava Core... what a joke, spams Flamestrike that kills every unit you have no matter how much you dodge because it spams it every 2 seconds. It killed my entire 100 food army... I cannot stress enough how much this isn't "difficulty" but cheapness and frustration as there is no counter play, it doesn't have limited mana either, if you had to dodge the initial 4/5 strikes til it runs out of mana that would make sense, or if you had a unit that could do something about whether that's anti-magic shield or something to give the player agency to counter play. As it is, it's silly.

EDIT: Also whether Anduin Lothar is able to hold his base against green seems completely luck based, first playthrough he held indefinitely with no issues, this playthrough he didn't and pretty much died quickly with the pressure from OJ splitting your attention to help him isn't possible. Also your gold mine is a little low for what's expected. The Lava Core also has magic immunity and once you kill it you get 4 mins to kill the Worm boss. I honestly would love to see someone's playthrough of this on hard to see how they manage these missions because I just don't get it. Also with the dragon devour its possible to get units stuck up on cliffs. I also destroyed a chest and got nothing from it, the chest hidden behind the trees behind the golem. The Black dragonspawn are also ridiculous. Also the RNG of the items similar to scarlet Frenzy is pretty rough especially if the proper item kit is essential to being able to beat the campaign.

EDIT: The Dragonspawn that spam Thunder Clap and War Stomp with a War Stomp that stuns for about 5 seconds and deals what seems like 300 damage is so fun, so so fun also they spam it every 3 seconds it feels like. Actually most bosses having both Thunder Clap and War Stomp is really obnoxious. The Black Dragons, same deal Flame Strike spam that annihilates riflemen even if you move them.

EDIT: Finally made it to Orgrim Doomhammer, I just... I just don't get these campaigns, the difficulty etc. I don't understand how they're meant to be played. Also I don't understand the Secret Level Power Up High Elf and the Thorium Brotherhood, not sure why they're there or what its about so I killed them.

Hi yesterday I gave up with this interesting adventure. Overall I think this was probably the most difficult camping so far. I don´t know if I am doing something wrong, but i could not comprehend how beat this campaign. From the chapter 6 Iplayed on easy and that gave sometimes hard breathing. Boss battles were insane and had bad luck with drops making most of the items useless. The final chapter was pure nightmare. Last fight with Lich king is either broken or impossible to finish, I had full army but Arthas one shot them with his ice blasts or one hit with auto attack was enough. I had to withdrew Jaina for battle entirely and Varian was dead in 3 hits. I tried different positions but result would be the same. So I used "whosyourdaddy" to kill him but when his health was at lowest he released death wave killing absolutely everything no matter the cheat. This happend 3 times and nothing i tried would change it. I think I broke some triggers but without cheating you can´t do it. So I kindly ask you to consider the difficulty of these campaigns, with this current state they are unplayable.

TRUE INDEED, it is really good for those masochist players. I gave up midway because of the unfairness and unbalances of enemy, spamming skills (flamestrike, thunderclap, warstomp, sleep etc.) like no cooldown. it's just too much

Ok So I finished the game. it seems like I missed quite a few items and combinations. Hopefully can someone can help on the upgrade list and the Combination list

I cheated on the last mission hard and I still lost... Which I found pretty funny. Whosyourdaddy and I still had to reset. Truly hardcore

I've seen some people say that the hard version of the Macro mission have been difficult. These are some of the tips and tricks I can recommend for you guys. I didn't cheat on any Base building missions. So check that out

Mission 2:

  • Build 2x4 towers beneath your townhall. and some on the right. Use this same standpoint to defend both the ogres and Orcs. Use your heroes to grab the 4 mortar teams on the right. Mass build Rifleman and use that as your main force.
  • This one is pretty easy and straightforward

Mission 3:

  • This one is a bit more interesting. You should send your units to destroy the small outpost in front of your base. Send 5 workers to your ally. Kill two of his foot on the right and a farm. Build a town hall and kill his peasents and steal his goldmine. he has infinity gold don't worry about it
  • buy a scroll of town portal and return to your base to defend it as your probably being attacked.
  • After that a maxed out army can destroy both bases upfront attack.
  • To defeat Lavacore before activating the sidequest build a bunch of towers on the bottom right of the lava section and upgrade them to Watch towers and it will easily kill both the lava core and the worm that comes after
  • Similarly to beat ogrim doomhammer you need to mass towers again. An upfront attack seems to not work

Mission 6:

  • Similarly to Mission 3 You take a couple of peasents and make your town hall above the gold mine of the orc base allowing you to get 3 bases very quickly.
  • You can rush this base. At the time I didn't use any Ships because I didn't know how to travel them to the other side. However I did build mortar teams and quickly destroyed the base. You can do this at the very beggining. try to bait the units to get out of the area so you can attack them without there defense of ziggaruats
  • After that a frontal assault with the orcs (hero) will work and then the mission doesn't end so you can do the rest of the mission at ease

Mission 7: (The first difficult mission)

  • Quickly send a mortar team and 5 peasents to the orc base. It'll be a bit difficult but you should be able to do it. use the mortar team to destroy the trees build a town hall kill the peons and steal the gold. Again two gold mines right off the bat.
  • There is also another gold mine up top. Your gonna have to defend two points at once though. Not that difficult but still.
  • Essentially the way I did this mission was a base trade. I let the pink base and green attack me essentially and as I destroyed the base they returned and I was able to destroy. the entirety of my base was destroyed but I was able to remove all pink units from the map. I then build defenses against the green base at the gate. This is so you don't have to defend multiple points at once.
  • After that I basically attacked the green base with a no upkeep army and mostly steam engines and was able to destroy all of there base with the help of the orcs.
  • There's a pathaway with the orc base to directly connect after you chop down some trees. Allowing for quick and easy access.
  • The way I destroyed the green base was a little bit different. I wanted to see if 100 flying machines, how much of the enemy's base can they destroy. The answer is a lot.
  • Your gonna have to slow down the game speed but you can destroy all of there base + acolytes and the altar of darkness and all ziggaruts meaning they can't create more units anymore.

Mission 9:

  • The Ebon blade group has a goldmine... you know the drill
  • With two gold mine's make a 5x5 Towers AT LEAST. I actually needed more sometimes. Make it to the left of your castle as you need the defense.
  • With no Ability to stun and 100 liches. You will get death and decayed a lot. The only to mitigate this seems to aggressively attack the lich as they will use the healing potion as it would cancel there Ability.
  • The only way I was able to do this mission was Crippling the enemy via Mass Flying machines. they do double damage to light armor and Buildings. And they cost 1 food. You can literally make a 100 of them. Select the black citadel and destroy every base and acolyte.
  • Later on this gets more complicated as The Ebon group stops making stuff causing them to become deadweight. and they still get attacked by the orange base so you need to defend them with mass towers. Eventually after crippling the two main bases, The orange base also disabled itself. I don't know why. But I was able to pretty easily destroy. Because the stopped making units including heroes

Final Mission

- I don't know. I lost even though I used whosyourdaddy cheat. Thats how hard this mission is.

----

I don't think this mission was as difficult as people say. Usually there are tricks and tips you need to use to get away with it. However I will say I cheated on all micro missions. It's only the base building mission that are impossible to do.

9/10

The campaign overall was great in term of gameplay and terrain, etc.

But the last chapter was questionable. I didn't finish the chapter because I was given T1 units to fight against such strong bosses. Also some of my unit wasn't able to go through the circle of power to tp over the terrain. So I had to fight the boss with 8k+ hp with like 3 footmen and 2 sorcerer. The heroes that joined the battle against the undead orc boss was pretty weak in my opinion, or it's just skill issue lol.

Hello. How do even craft i have ore for dark battel axe from dwarfs second mission i dont know how to craft. and the copper flux to make copper ignot

Gameplay wise and also story wise it seems better than the previous ones. If the missions weren't such wars of attrition and overly difficult for the sake of being difficult with no upsides I would give it 5 stars

Second level:

Healing Wards don't stack.

Sundering Blades can still be researched.

Main quest: he lower -> the lower

Dwarf quest:
Should probably change Foreman to Slave Master, since the foreman is the miniboss.
are always -> is always
is a large -> are a large

Enemies, even if they're optional bosses, should not deal 100+ damage, and especially not have Critical Strike and/or Bash, I saw heroes get stunlocked and three-shotted by these things.

Wheeler's bear summon tooltip is untranslated.

Got the Dark Iron plans and the ore, but no way to turn it into an ingot.

Texture bug on the big doodad towers in the SE where the top floor is invisible and the ground is visible through the hole, there's just a ladder floating in midair.

Cave sidequest needs a lot more explanation, especially since the only hint is that you can't go back in the cave you got out of, except that's exactly what you need to do after trying all the others.

End cutscene: it shouldn't be Alexandros trying to heal himself since he can't do so ingame.

Third level:

The orc intro is good, but why don't the humans get anything to explain what they're doing?

There should be more low-level creep camps around the starting base to give you something to do while building up your forces.

Ended up having to wyd this one, not entirely out of frustration at the infinitely-respawning enemies or the 100/200+ damage bosses (although that certainly played a part), but there's a profoundly weird bug where loading the saved game replaces a lot of unit data (icons, upgrades) with those from a diffferent custom map entirely. No clue why, I hadn't played a different map before.

There's some neutral Dark Irons, a High Elf and a Secret Level Powerup in the upper part of the map, but they don't react when you come near them. Perhaps relatedly, the sidequest didn't trigger.

The purple Firebelly Ogre Mage has the same name as the blue one.

Found the crafting ingredients but not the recipe.

Ending: There really should be a transition showing the orcs getting kicked out, your heroes aren't even in the cutscene.

Interlude:

Oh Sally. Please change.

demands quiet and discretion
immediately plonks glowing ball of evil on table
everyone bombards it with light

During the transition to the forge, it just says "- 1"

Big empty space visible when the camera pans over to Magni.

Fourth level

Intro: We can back to -> We can be back in

Why were Alex's skills redistributed?

Fairbanks should have a damage spell, three healing spells is overkill especially if one is Healing Wave.

I suspect these sheep -> I suspect these sheep are...

Notice board has no portrait and is referred to as Recruitment board in messages.

Why does a rotten apple restore so much health?

The blue zombie has the same name as the normal ones.

Tide-Blood Witch -> Tide Blood-Witch (or maybe Bloodtide Witch)

... Mimi of the Tides?

a mage of no repute. -> ?

Corrupted treants keep appearing even after you kill the ghost.

Couldn't get the island with the runes to open.
-Edit: did manage to open it, but those runes should be easier to find/there should be another waygate near the last one. Can't speak as for the dragon fight since I wyd it (the Jack fight resulted in me losing every unit except a Rifleman, so presumably this one too features fuck-you-for-playing spells and enemies)

Fallen Priests should use a different name since they have completely different abilities. They should also be Undead so you can use Holy Light on them.

Overseer's Ring and Knight's Pauldrons have the same effect (3 str 1 armor) but the former is worth 1050 gold and the latter 80.

If Morgan dies (and with minibosses doing 100-200+ damage, he will), his sword is lost when he's resurrected.

Spliced Skeleton Mage -> ?

Dark Summoner fight was both infuriating and underwhelming. Casters who spam Sleep and Healing Wave and Carrion Swarm, the skeleton with that stupid "your units die now" blizzard, little-to-no AoE spells on your side (see: Morgan losing his sword) and once you finally get rid of everything else the guy just casts Drain Life, and you kill him for an extremely underwhelming item.

Interlude:
Who you are -> Who are you
Saidan's line after "killing" Balnazzar is untranslated.

Fifth level:

First message before the quest is just "-".

City gates cutscene is unskippable.

Ashen Verdict ability has no tooltip.

Ugh, this was a complete slog. The end fight isn't even fun, just an endless cycle of "use Ashen Verdict, heal unblockable spell damage while waiting for Ashen Verdict to recharge, use Ashen Verdict" since Fairbanks doesn't have any non-healing abilities (and Resurrection is useless here). If the goal is to make it clear the fight is unwinnable, just send all the enemies at once.

Interlude:

Tirion's last line is "-".

Sixth level:

Loading screen:
  • sits on -> sits above
  • I was sent on a suicide mission. After fulfilling my duty as a soldier, I will seek some answers. -> ... after you're dead?

Since the shipyard is owned instead of neutral, it shouldn't need a nearby unit to buy ships.

You know, I tried taking on the dragon island legitimately with 90+ food's worth of units. And then the first cluster (not even the boss) eliminated my riflemen with that starfall-on-steroids spell, and one Breath of Frost took out all my flying machines, and I wondered why I even bother.

The attacks on the base were frustrating but manageable, it helps that the ally was actually good enough to clear out the west base while I hit the north one. You'd think the Alliance and Horde would have figured out that working together gets better results by now.

OK, I wyd'ed from this point on because my computer is apparently still in training for the Guinness record of "highest number of random restarts in five minutes".

Seventh level:

Red base should attack more often. They also didn't attack the green base.

Warlock is still called Hydromancer.

End cutscene: Every single line of dialogue started playing before the subtitles did.

Eighth level:

Intro: Subtitles are missing the final "ONWARDS!" from Thrall.

Elevator cutscene: Cyclones aren't visible.

Sylvanas' Dark Minions aren't transferred with the rest of your units.

Horde part needs ranged units.

evil taint -> evil

Varynn's "guard the halls" and "we're coming for you" lines get displayed twice, but aren't voiced.

Ninth level:

Vrykul building is still called Burrow.

Icecrown Gate destructible has no name.

Risen trolls should at least look undead.

Tenth level:

Druids should have Master training like the other casters and Archers have level 3 upgrades (also, shouldn't they be NE archers?).

Several of the starting units (druids, archers) weren't moved to the second area.

Tirion can pick up Tomes of Power but doesn't go up a level.

... yeah, no, fuck this campaign for giving the boss a spell that literally one-shots your heroes. This thing has taken enough of my time.

Fixed the grammar/spelling/missing translations Cleavinghammer mentioned.
In accordance with Enoshima's wishes, a few NPCs from map 3 were removed, which were originally supposed to be involved in a hidden map about the Molten Core.
Thought I would add some notes I wrote down from when I first played this campaign:

Opening
Nice setting the stage directly where the New Avalon Campaign left off at.

Ch1
Interesting way to start the campaign, with Tirion already at a set level and no way to level up.
Because of this mission, I played all the RPG maps on easy, and only did hard for the RTS ones. I could not find out a way to beat the last part of this mission on hard no matter what strategy I tried. Since it was defending a position, I could not run off a slowly pick off the enemies, since then the crystal things we were protecting would die.

Ch2
The terrain for this mission was very nice. It was brown and orange near our starting base, then it because redder and redder the closer we got into Blackrock mountains itself.
We need to research dispel on Priests as soon as possible in order to kill the summoned creatures of that enemy hero, and to quickly save the mortar teams in order to rush 1 of the 2 bases fast before they both overwhelm you.

Ch3
Our AI ally's ping for their next attacks helped me find out where the bases of our enemies were, since I didn't initially know where they were. (Dark Irons were south of my base).
Giving an enemy hero the Mirror Image ability is a mistake, since if the AI targets the image and the image fades away after its time limit, the AI will automatically pull back to their base as if they have killed something.
The optional creeps here were extremely difficulty. Holy moly, the dragons and their Breathe Fire abilities!
I wish those creeps were shown on the map as enemies and not neutral, so at least our ally would come help us.
I could only kill Orgrim by using arcane towers to wipe his mana before he could use Bladestorm.

Ch4
The music for this chapter is so soothing.
The location of the people smugglers didn't ping on the map like other quests did.
Cultists having the inner fire spell is strange.
Nice table doodad with the dead woman as a sacrifice.

Ch5
This map is an interesting race against time. You need to level up and keep using those replenishment items to keep HP and mana up to move through map fast enough, especially if you want to kill the Abomination boss to the east in time.

Ch6
I didn't realize the mission wouldn't end once the Purple base was killed, so I had to cripple the Horde base after I beat the 2 UD bases in case it finished off the north base and finished mission before I had time to do the optional content (Dragons).
The path to the dragons was not clear, I couldn't understand at first how to get ships there.
Would have loved to have some kind of force bridge be able to be activated once I get to the dragon island, and then have the Dragons be counted as enemies so my Horde ally could help me take them down.
Having crypt beetles with burrows screws with AI ally (same as fiends) since they just burrow at bases already dead, and it wastes an AI attack wave on it.

Ch7
A closer path for Red to attack green would be nice, instead of requiring them to walk around the map to attack them (green).
When did second side quest trigger? it only happened when I attacked green's base, and not went I went to the ice cube things.

Ch8
Thrall's Heal and Earthquake spell have the same hotkey.

Ch9
Tirion is next to shop in the first cutscene, so there is a big blue arrow bobbing up and down over his head while he talks the entire time.

Ch10
I sold all items I was not using for gold in order to get an early advantage in this map and rush an enemy base as soon as possible.
The Vrykul hero was very overpowered. I even lured him to my base where Darion helped me fight him, and he still destroyed my entire army.
I was forced to be very strategical when fighting yellow's base. I needed to lure Kel'Thuzad out away from his army, kill him, then me and Darion crushed his base.

Ch11
I very nice conclusion to the entire campaign. All the way back from Enoshima's Scarlet Frenzy campaigns up until now, defeating the Lich King has always been the main focus of the storylines, and that quest ended here. The early game's missions with Blackrock also linked nicely to the end of Enoshima's Tides of Darkness campaign about the Orcs.

General Points
The RTS missions were fantastic, and required a lot of strategy to win. I also liked the item combining. Having so many missions with AI allies to help us was great. Thanks for sharing this campaign.

So No content Change only Grammar stuff. It's still so difficult that even a god mode cheat means that you can potentially lose correct?

It will be better if we can transfer all of hero in every chapter to the ice crown citadel like wow wrath of the lich king that everyone try to defeat arthas
But in this campaign the final chapter we have only few of hero
