This is a campaign from the Chinese language warcraft 3 community. Hopefully we can "give back" in the sense that by sharing many campaigns from their community, it will inspire Hiveworkshop creators to make more campaigns, and then their community can play those campaigns when their translators bring Hive campaigns to their community (so in this way, they can benefit also).

Important:
This campaign has a randomized item drop system. For RPG missions, the randomized drop is normally from named Boss units, while for RTS missions, it is the first time an enemy hero dies/main building dies. Some of the later missions go a lot smoother if you have better items, especially on harder difficulties, so it might be worth considering using quick save/load f5/f6 before you kill one of those units mentioned above to try to get the best item drop.

If you find any quest which you think doesn't work because it is bugged (mission 7), it is actually because Enoshima designed his campaign so you need to be in possession of a certain item to trigger the quest; it is not bugged.

General

... ranged units needing a Keep is a horrible idea.

Blacksmith should not need a Keep.

Workshop building is untranslated.

"Building finished" warnings use Peon quotes.

Destructible chests have no name and should not be placed behind trees or doodads.

Unstable Mana Potion -> Why unstable?

It'd be nice if Brigitte talked more or commented on the things she sees happening.

Nerubian flyers and the ones with orange eyes and the spiky ones are all called Crypt Fiends.

Red Battle Mage has no tooltip.


1st level

I really hope the climate in Northrend will not be so harsh -> ... I know fanatics are rarely the smartest in the room, but really? "Maybe Northrend will be warmer?"

Ship abilities are untranslated.

fleet -> convoy

has successfully passed through this sea area. -> Ehhhh... maybe " has reached the shore" instead.

I only managed to find two of the shipyards in the time it took for the convoys to arrive. There should be a message about the captured ships being rescued by killing the shipyard.


2nd level

Main quest name is cut off (Little Foo)

Treasure chests may drop items that are better than those dropped by regular chests. -> The difference between treasure chests and regular being...?

There's a place on the north edge that looks like a tomb, is anything supposed to happen there?

Emma should drop a speed rune.

No comment on the hostile Alliance troops? Like, "Kill the unbelievers", etc.

Alliance sorceress is named Carta Issue.

Quest NPCs should have a different owner so you can find them on the minimap.

Cutscene:
  • Myron's hat is too big.
  • do you see all this -> ... see what, exactly?
  • Emma's corpse should stay once the cutscene is done.
Gah! That is a great Forsaken Footman model.

So how do they know these undead aren't controlled by the Lich King?

"Go northeast of Dragonblight" should be better shown: a repeated ping, a circle of power, a revealed location in the fog of war, etc.

Unnamed item with a scroll of speed effect.

So let's recap: final enemies are all twice the heroes' level, all have AoE stuns and a self-heal, and there's a timer. Ha ha ha, hell no.
 
I've finished the campaign and have to say that this campaign is amazing! However, all treasure chests don't have title and some items are untranslated too. However, it doesn't affect much and this's still a great campaign. Waiting for the next Enoshima's campaign Ashen Verdict and the translation of Tulee. Wish you all the best!
 
Have not finished it yet but I would say this campaign is on par with the others in terms of difficulty and quality, it is well done and very enjoyable. The only issue that stand out to me seem to be translation issues with spells/tooltips. They are not a huge issue in terms of gameplay.
 
Why does Brigitte have shopkeeper lines?

Units with Animate Dead should use the non-invulnerable version.


5th level

Loading screen: I feel dizzy and nauseous and need a good night's sleep -> I feel dizzy and nauseous and in need of a good night's sleep

Breaking-Through -> Breaking Through

Maybe replace one of the paladins with a ranged unit, especially for the coastal segment.

Reanimated Blood Elf Sorceress is too long a name, it gets cut off.

Dragonhawk Riders need a different name since they're undead.

Maybe use a different skin for sorceresses and battle mages, yes there's the staves but a different look would help distinguish them in a fight. Same with banshees and pain banshees.

Hero's Spirit didn't say anything, the quest just triggered. He did say "Thank you" after completing the quest, but there was the sound of a female unit dying.

Chest ambush: OK, that was great.

Deadhide should have longer cooldowns, he's hard enough to kill without also having your units stunned then slowed then stunned then slowed then...

Why is killing the assassin an optional quest?

Battle Mage hint: Attention -> Warning

Killing the last shipyard gets nothing?

Goblin doesn't explain the quest, just "hey man", the quest message appears, then he tells you it might be in the base.

Goblin quest item has no name or description.

Not sure what the enemy death knight's abilities are, but one of them appears to be two-shotting a hero.
 
Weird bug with the Keep model where it can't be selected when it's in Work animation.

Towers have unresearchable Magic Sentry.


7th level:

Why do ships use leather for armor upgrades?

Ships should not cost food since you can't use them on half the level.

There's no message for the owlbear quest.

If you click the undead shipyard you can see what it's building.

Presumably the Priestess of the Moon is supposed to trigger the second sidequest, but nothing happened.





8th level:

Ahahahahahahaha no. If "allies must survive" is a failure condition, the allies should not be dumbasses who manage to get themselves overrun in less than 10 minutes.

Destructible crate next to the lumber mill has no name.

There's no message for the diary quest, and also no hints as to where it is.

Diary chest should be closer to the undead base entrance, it's easy to miss in the fight (and why would she have forgotten it that close to an enemy base anyway?).

Are Onslaught Death Knights supposed to be undead or not?

Autocast abilities should be on by default.

Towers should not have the detection ability if it can't be researched.


9th level

Vanquished Alliance Charger [...]'s name is too long for the box. Given the name, maybe make it a mounted model?

No message for the flesh golem quest.

Bladebane Armor-equivalent item dropped by the flesh golem is untranslated.

Silvana's hero class is Crown of Heroes. (also, a Vrykul named Valdez?)

Skeletal Footman with an orc skeleton model: -> Skeletal Grunt

Maybe have a scene where the heroes comment on the barrier, and ping the shrines in the FoW.

4 different Reanimated Battle Mages, all the same name.

"You will die one day!" -> "You will die today!" is more of a threat.

Is Rosalind supposed to get more than one line? It seems like it should lead to a long speech.

The undead blademaster didn't talk at all, same for the vrykul heroes.

Naga miniboss' name is too long for the box.

Victory should really be "move heroes into the gate" instead of timed so you can actually choose the items you want instead of gambling that the one you picked up is better than the one you dropped.


10th level

Ended up skipping this one when I discovered the enemies can just delete towers when they feel like it.

Murloc-summoning item has no tooltip or name.

Sidequest has no message.
So is it Serina (game unit), Sharina (message and log) or Serena (parchment tooltip)?

Main quest should end early if you kill all enemies.

Ending goes on way too long with only a black screen. It should at least mention the next campaign.

Overall, this one was pretty frustrating.
  • Enemies are needlessly overpowered (why do they have the invulnerable version of Animate Dead and why does it last longer!?), heroes with AoE abilities keep leaving, and of course ranged units being tier 2 (WHY ARE RANGED UNITS TIER 2).
  • A lot of stuff that would have been interesting to see happens offscreen.
  • Quests tend to get dumped on you without context, needing the log to explain what needs to be done.

It's a bit disappointing, at least from my point of view. Many epic moments that reminiscent of great moments in Warcraft history, but are rather marred by the abrupt changes in difficulty. Although more than difficulty, I'd say it's downright torture.

I like the maps and the overall design, but the balance is a disaster, and it has prevented me from enjoying this campaign, to the point where I resorted to cheats toward the end to finish early because I was really fed up.
 
Alright, So this Campaign tilted me enough that I decided to restore my password, log in and write this comment.
In general it was very pleasant, I really love the story of Scarlet Crusade, completed the run on hard difficulty.
However the units are totally unbalanced and a joke.
Sure we get a lot of powerhouse, all of the heroes are very powerful and items as well (although you need a lot of luck with item drops (or purposeful resets to get better loot = grind)), however the enemy units, especially mages are just hilarious and not in a good way, it trully prevented me from enjoying this campaign and although I tried I couldn't get through last level without whosyourdaddy cheat, its just simply impossible and I have tried for several hours, I just got crushed in minute 10 at maximum when all 4 bases sent waves at me, each circa 30 units with mages, I was just overswarmed, even when I tried partially cheating by taking out 1 base with cheats to get better defensive angle and then trying normally I couldn't do it, the enemy invokers and reanimated battle mages are just a joke, even sat for a while with whosyourdaddy cheat and 1 of my heroes was in permanent cc for around 5 minutes (not to mention banshees who would curse him as well).

Yeah I know I might sound like a pansy little girl, but it wasn't very pleasant, totally unbalanced, I am familiar with this mod maker and that the campaigns are really hard but this was just another level.
Apart from that there are several issues with side quests, some of them not working, others confusing but all in all it was pretty well done, apart from final mission which has been explained above.

Alright, I let my frustration out, hopefully this comment won't be removed for "toxic" insight.

Campaign is great, storyline for Scarlet Crusade is trully interesting, however there are a lot of minor issues with side quests being confusing or not working, quotes being strange (Abbendis with shopkeeper quotes or peon quotes for workers).
The worst of all was balance issue, the units were just horribly overpowered, especially enemy mages which were way stronger than enemy heroes and could wipe out your whole army withing 5 seconds.
 
Tbh I enjoyed more SF I than II, the fact that for last mission we lost main hero, our best dps, aoe and the only one that can decrease enemy hot stuff is a shame and all agi items become useless too.

So I discovered a heavy exploit to easy pass campaign, when I was playing Tides of Darkness, i saw that even with my units at a neutral camp, enemy run behind them instead of destroying my base, so... You only need to sacrifice 1 unit a bit far from your base entrance and thats it, enemy lost agro and return to their base, even a craftswoman (peon) its enough to sacrifice, you can see in this video from a good player Blasterix when he send a footman to do same strategy (2:56):


About last mission, pink base is easy, orange is medium and good luck with purple and green, I only beat 3 of them in 45 mins in normal diff.

Mages are broken, totally broken aoe, higher than a lvl 3 hero skill. I dont really like the save/load item system until you get something decent, but it is what it is.

Anyway, good and fun campaigns.
 
Same problems with the previous campaign. Hard difficulty is 8 times more difficult. Enemies have warpten and greedisgood cheats on. Attack every minute with 4 armies from 4 different bases. Normal difficult is 4 times harder. Easy difficulty is -8 times easier. Completely unbalanced in difficulty.
Dialogues are lacking, but I appreciate the gameplay mechanics, and especially the items system.

Hello, had to register to let you know there is a bug with the second quest in Annihilation, 7-th mission, brown player is not loading properly, making this quest impossible to complete.
