That, and somehow the whole monster in itself doesn't look as dangerous as it did, to me it might have something to do with the placing of the eyes. In addition, on the first one it really looked like this extremely large, aggressive and dangerous beast just about to attack a small and cozy home, creating a horrific tension that isn't present in the second WIP.

And on a side note, here's my first WIP, I'm not entirely sertain about the idea yet, so I might end up doing a completely different terrain, but for now, this is it.

Allright, i'll see what i can do about it :3

Keiji, that looks like a place where i wouldnt want to go wandering around. I would probably run throught it if i had to go there. Scawy

Allright, not sure if it's even going to the better direction, oh and if you think that the middle teeth look strange that's because they're justflying there atm. As i really didnt get any part to fit in that spot, and yes the right side of the creature is rather.. Messy. Hauu~

sigh, looks like almost everyone using a high res doodad pack -.-"
Why wouldn't we?

We utilize the tools we have at hand to craft a piece of art.
Should you find a model that matches your terrain better than the high resolution ones, then by all means, use it :3

Don't think that terraining with outdated material will earn you any 'old school points' though - terraining is about appeal;
I summon Keiji:
This is Terrain Art, not a lookalike contest for an 8 years old game when they didn’t have any better resources to work with.

That gained it some scare appeal.

I would however still say that the eyesockets are oddly bright - which makes the glowing eyes seem less like eyes and more like excluded glows.

Second WIP.
I love the angle and the foggy light effects.

However, it does have a slight ... 'generic' feel to it in its current state, for lack of better terms.
It'll be interesting to see how you'll work your magic on it.

Very nice, love the red eyes to the left, the back seems a little too bright for me, I'd expect to just barely be able to make out the figure before it zoomed up to me and pwned me hardcore.

Johannesr, the red eyes are kind of pulling attention from the possessed girl. IMO, you should remove them.

Hmm, now im confused as to what i should do: remove them or not?

Do what you feel is the best. While yes, the eyes do draw the attention away from the wicked girl thing in the middle of the terrain, it still poses a nice touch. Maybe lessen the intensity of the eyes might help? I'm not sure.

Main point is, if you feel that them drawing the attention is a bad thing, you should either remove them or make them less apparent, if not, then keep them.

In any case, I've actually got an idea and a tip for you, what I would do with your terrain if I had my hands on it is open the roof, just entirely remove it and have like rubbleish parts to indicate that it once were a roof, then have a decripit wall in the background, this is all to give the terrain more depth and to be able to have a "nature" aspect of it, so that you can add a background, forest, sky and fog. Might make for a cool outcome, especially considering those walls and ceiling looks extremely stretched and not very good.

Hm.. too much things to do cause of school and things, mabye I join next time.
Oh, littl idea for DeathKnight, mabye remove one of the hangman-playing guys, but stay the chain and put the dead guy on the ground cause in my mind it looks littl bit tidy. :)

I'm thinking about an other entry instead of the current one. The new one is inspired by a movie called Outpost.

Loved that movie, i find everything with National Socialists interesting. But let's not discuss about that.

Looking rather interesting there Oz, looking forward to see that one completed, are you planning to add somekind of monster to your picture, or is it going to be something beyond my very understanding?

@Error_Trigger,

Those eyes are going to destroy your originality, i suggest u remove them, and add something else instead. Also the room seems a bit.. Flat and empty, try to raise it a bit at the left side(viewers left side) or add something there.. Also those abnominations on the front dont look too good, rotate them and place them in different places. I think it will make it better. and finally, can we see some cracks and dirt on those tiles?! Else. its good work. but most likely if u want to win, u need more work! :)

A very pro suggestion to all:
Why is noone using THis as a MONSTER's hand?
Or why aren't you using this: bloody thing
Also im very sure i saw a model made out of Gul'dans runes. They would fit very well on walls.. but i cant seem to find it sadly.
anyhow I hope I've been a bit helpful to you guys :) and im hoping for great terrain works, really awesome so far!

Alright, experimenting with a new concept, so this would be my First point three WIP, admitedly I like this idea better than the last one, I just need to work more on it, and probably change around some few things.

That does actually seem like a original nightmare, obviously if you worked on it more, but i think, this one is more like a Weird Nightmare, and your first one, is more like Silent Hill. Good Job so far!
