He turns his face to the direction of the gate and smirks.
He runs off in a different direction until unable to be seen. (>=D)

Meyla froze, but her she did not release the gem. She looked back at Ashen, had he heard the voice to? No, she thought not. Then was she finally losing her mind or did someone or something, really just ask her if she dared take the risk? Of course I do, Meyla smiled. I've nothing left to lose. She ignored the voice and removed the gem, gently.

Zeyn eventually reached to be out of site of Calliope, He took the nearest alley creeping towards the direction of the gate. He just hoped... He wouldn't be caught... This time...

As Meyla picked up the gem a searing pain rushed through her body.
She screamed, and was almost about to drop the gem.
But then a new feeling replaced the pain: Power.
It surged through her body, stronger than ever before. And in her palm the gem shone brightly.

DM: Meyla Gains 1 Entity Point.
Then, the same voice that Meyla had heard whispering inside her head thundered through the air, and it was speaking to the entire group:
Do you dare to take the risk?

Calliope raised her head, listening to the voice. As much as she'd like to leave this cursed place, perhaps here she could find some answers and some knowledge.
Hesitating greatly, aware of the group and the voice she went towards the gates.

Llyw frowned as he listened to the voice's booming echos, across the city. It was loud, noisy, and strong. Also, he doubted it was something that would help them.. ach, well. 'Dare to take the risk'... what? Yeah, that was very specific, wasn't it? Blegh, he mumbled to himself and he shrugged, nodding to himself. Voice could take his crap with him.

Amnora silently contemplated the whispers that wailed across her mind. The words continued to repeat. She was already in hell. Why not enjoy the ride. So she smiled, raised her head, and watched the gate.

As Mex said '...ofcourse i dare to take the risk!' a great pain flowed through him.
DM: Endureance Check Class 3 (Minimum Result: 7): Roll (1d6 +5 From Strength): 6. (11)
Rolling Crit Chart: 3. Good Stuff!

He fell to the ground, and the pain inside him increased.
But then it turned into power, lots of power.
The power centered itself in his left hand, and there it materialized as a purplish glove of steel.

Disheveled and sweating profusely, Meyla stumbled back, barely keeping her feet.
"What?" she muttered, turning to squint at Ashen, her vision disorientated. Despite all this, Meyla felt a small, satisfying feeling deep within her one that hadn't been there before, at least not with such magnitude.

He looked at Mex, frowning at his suddenly fall to the ground.
''What..?'' he asked himself, deeply curious what the hell just happened. Bah, some things were just.. bah. Nonetheless, he looked at Mex in curiosity, intrigued by what just had happened. One quick glare at Amnora before he once more looked at Mex.

Mex took a deep breath, this was all very weird. "i Felt an imense pain, and then... it turned into power." he studied the glove. "and this glove materialized."

OOC: oh cool. thanks Dragon.

Calliope was watching the group. Something was wrong... very wrong. The people felt... different. After a minute of hesitation watching one of them who was almost eminating danger, inspecting a glove of some sort.
She sighed and slowly made a step out of the crowd to the group.

Avi looked at Mex with a disturbed expression. She thought to herself: "I risk strainin' up and being forced to wear a sizzy boxing glove? Hmm... Don't seem like a serious dare..." She found this hard to take serious, and was unimpressed by the voice and all that. The voice and her apparently had a failure of communication.

Suddenly, a blinding light appeared at the gate.
When it dissipated, a tall man clad in blue and black stood before them.
On his head he wore the skull of a dragon with so many runes on it that it was hard to see the original texture.
In his left hand he held a great spear, which shone with a otherworldly light.
His eyes were covered by the dragon skull and a hood that he wore beneath it, but the lower part of his face was visible, and he smiled.
"You have done well, chosen ones of the entity.
By consuming a small bit of the Entity's powers into your own souls, you have weakened it and allowed me to shortly enter this realm.
I will though soon have to leave and go back to my post, for my role in keeping the entity in chains is most essential.
"
He turned to the gate.
"I have been watching you from my sanctum in The Mortal Plane, and i know of all the recent happenings.
Even though you gained access to the Soulgem that Taiion hid here on his way through by pulling Shaek, Molesk and Preservai, it will not get you through the gate.
The Correct Combination is Molesk, Preservai and Omel.
You were close, but not close enough.
To get through this gate you have to think like an elf.
"
He placed his right hand on the gate. It opened.

Amnora watched the man with adoration and smiled as the gate opened. Before her was the Elven District - beautiful, truly, but she was not here to gaze upon such sights. Her initial concerns were true - she and her group were here for something great. But one question came to mind.

"What is this entity you speak of?"

The man turns around again.
"I should have known that some of you would not know.
I guess an explanation is in order then.
"
Then man pulled out a big book, apparently from nowhere, and opened it.
From it's pages sprung a blue sphere that grew and soon the entire group were standing inside it, even Ashen and Meyla, that suddenly found themselves down with the rest of the group.
Meyla noted that she was still holding the gem.
Now, the man begun speaking.
And as he spoke, moving images portraying the things he spoke of appeared in front of the group.
"Not long ago you were all present on the Isle of Rafia in the Mortal Plane.
Whether you were there on a journey or quest, or maybe by accident, does not matter.
What matters is that you were all present when the greatest catastrophe since the Veiling of Urnung.
You see, what happened is that a very powerful mage known as Warplord Mourg had recently suffered a great loss: The loss of an old friend.
One of Mourg's old travelling companions, Sestina Lamente, had been banished to the outer planes of existance by Xall Planebreaker, leader of the Black Spectres, during what had started out as a harmless duel.
When Mourg heard this he broke down. He had travelled with Sestina almost since the beginning of his 'career' and they had grown attached to each other on a rather physical plane.
He locked himself inside his subtereanan chamber in the Drak'Ron capital for several years, and nothing was heard of him during that time.
But then, everyone both heard, saw and felt the work of the Maddened Warplord.
Mourg had long ago invented a device that at any time allowed him to open a portal to a person that bore it.
Sestina bore a such device, and for all those years inside his chamber Mourg had tried to open a gateway to her.
But he had failed. He had not been able to produce enough energy to create a dimensional link between him and her.
In a final struggle to save Sestina, Mourg tapped into the power of his own soublade, fueling a portal with his own life energy, and the portal opened.
But Mourg had expected all along that Sestina would be in Godspace, the great tree that houses the Archbeing, a dimensional hall of doors where even The Five Planes is just a simple world among millions of others, but she was not.
She was OUTSIDE godspace, in darkspace.
And as Sestina tumbled through the dimensional door Mourg had opened, something terrible followed her.
The thing that followed her was an entity of pure warp.
This being is the opposite of reality, creation and certanity. And it instantly started turning the world around it into a incomprehendable mocking shade of what it was before, infinitely reversing itself and the things around it.
Mourg and Sestina managed to escape the entity due to Mourg's mastery of portals and magical transportation, but most of the Drak'Ron capital and the lands around it were turned into a warped zone that cannot be described as anything else than 'Out of Place'.
Immediately, all of the nine Dragonpriests, the protectors of the five planes and the island of Rafia, rushed to Mourg's chamber to prevent this terrible being, now known as The Entity, from gaining foothold in our world and to send it back to Darkspace.
There they managed to force the back through the portal.
But they did not manage to send it back to from where it came.
Instead, the entity slipped through a crack in reality and entered a plane of volatile creation.
It's mere pressence shaped the newfound dimension into a real plane, looking somewhat like a darker version of Rafia and the rest of The Mortal plane.
This is where we are now.
And here, in this dark mirror-plane, the entity settled.
And from here, it slowly begun spreading it's terrible influence and power to the other planes, wreaking havoc in our world.
All the gods and the nine Dragonpriests combined their powers and managed to hold the dark intrusion at bay, but if a single one of them as much as tried to enter the sixth plane and deal with the entity, the entity's dark power would immediately begin slipping into the space left behind by the travelling god.
The gods and Dragonpriests realised that this could very well be the end of creation, as they could not hold up their defences forever.
But then, one of the mortals that had been present on Rafia when the catastrophe happened made a great discovery.
A small group of people that had been present on Rafia when the catastrophe happened had been granted a special power, one that allowed them to tap into the entity's terrible force and use it to command a new type of magic.
These mortals could travel into the Sixth plane, these mortals could challenge the entity, these mortals could save creation.
Among thes mortals, are you.
As the gods realised this, they were of course overwhelmed with releif and joy.
They promised a great reward to any mortal that defeated the entity, a reward so great that many mortals willingly entered the sixth plane to try their luck against the entity:
Any mortal that emerged from battle with the entity Victorious, would ascend to new heights of power, and become a god.
"
The man closed his book.
"This is why you are here.
I do not know how you managed to pass to the Sixth plane without knowing, butit is very clear that you have all been granted a small piece of the Entity's power, and so far you have been using it well.
"

"Uhhmm Yeah Okay...One question, if the entity is such a powerful being then how did WE weaken it..."
"Hey Boss im thirsty!" Yezan complained.
"Stupid dagger you cant be thirsty, you dont need to drink and you dont even have a mouth!" Zeyn said loud enough for everone to hear.

Calliope stood behind the other people, seemingly unnoticed because of the strange man's appearance. And what she heard gave her a feeling of what she hasnt felt before. A wish for power. Power to change the world as she wants, perhaps even make her own. She wasnt sure if making a mortal a god would be wise, but even getting a smillest tinch of that power to change the world as she wants was enough to make her understand that perhaps her being in this cursed realm was not horrible misunderstanding... but luck, and perhaps destiny.

OOC: Sestina Lamente? That sounds familiar. The first name definitely.

IC: Amnora sighed. Her life was full of surprises, twists and turns, hurdle after hurdle. How could she return to the north and liberate her people with such nuisances. Yes, a nuisance. The Entity was a nuisance. Amnora destroyed nuisances. And this time would be no different. She wanted to return to the Mortal Plane. She longed for the bustle of reality, a lance to break this fabrication of the real world. She gazed at the man, distrusting of him, and responded to him in a cold tone.

"I suppose we use the entity against itself? Our 'burdens', I mean."

OOC: The Five Planes is a VERY OLD universe that i have been expanding for A LONG TIME.
One of the main tools i use to expand it is taking charecters that my friends have played in it and weave them into the lore.
My RP's here on the hive will not be diffirent. ;)

IC:
"To answer both of your questions at the same time:
I do not know how you should defeat the Entity, and i can not fight your battles for you as i have to maintain the Entity here in the Sixth plane.
But i know that whenever you absorb some of the entity's power, like Meyla and Mex have just done, the Entity Weakens and you get more powerfull.

Mex looked at the man, he wondered who it was tough eventually came to the conclusion he didn't really care anymore. "In any case, before any of us can get that so called godlike power we need to kill this 'entity' right? so... what are we waiting for."

OOC:
He's not exactly 'home' yet flat. ;)
You should go and get the story from the man himself you know.
I can though tell you all that all the old charecters from Rafia: B&N ended up forming a famous group known as The Blackwind Lords.
They were famous for such things as constructing a wall around Necropia, restoring Blackwind Mountains to a more fertile state and slaying the Arch-Demon Nall Towershield.
It is also common knowledge that Every Single of The Blackwind Lords have Entity Powers.
Also you people crit too much. -.-
I think i will begin to throw second grade dice rolls at you guys.
More rule explanation ahead it seems...

IC: (Before the gate opened.)
DM: Endureance Check Class 3 (Minimum Result: 7): Roll (1d6 +7 From Will and -5 From Exhaustion): 6. (8)
Rolling Crit Chart: 4. Extra Dice!
Rolling Extra Dice: 5. (13)

Like with the others, a great pain soared through Ashen's body.
But his pain lasted longer though, and while it lasted the entity's corruptive power spread through his body with incredible speed.
His hands that had been warped into claws when the entity's power first met him were now almost pitch black, and the strange corruption spread up through his arms.
For a few seconds, a sharp pain appeared in his back, but then it dissappeared.
And like the others, he felt an immense power inside him.

DM: Ashen Gains 1 Entity Point and +3 Cunning.

IC: (After the gate opened.)
"Rushing into the entity's arms might not be a good move.
You need to prepare, grow stronger and weaken it.
As you are now, the power inside you would only be a weakness when facing the entity.
You need to harden it, and turn it into a unique power that cannot be used against you by the original source.
Which reminds me...
"
The man makes a series of strange hand gestures and mumbles something that none of the group members can understand.
"Two of Mourg's friends are working hard to help adventurers defeat The Entity, and are setting up a training center for people with Entity Powers.
It is not yet ready for use, but i will inform you when it is.
And now i am afraid that i am out of time.
If i do not get back to my post in The Black Tower we risk that the Entity slips through to the mortal plane.
May Ahmon'Zan be with you!
"
With those words, the man disappears.
And then suddenly all of the party members realize who he was:
They had been talking to none other than Holo Dragonson, the Dragonpriest of Wind, Water, Ice and Magic.
The Leader, of the Dragonpriests.

OOC: No Niahcluc in Holo's speech? :(. Oh well, :p

Llyw listened in amazement to the man, finding it very hard to believe what the man had just told him.. aha, he -- or they, were supposed to defeat a mighty entity that the Nine Dragonpriests weren't able to beat. The world was so ironic, in his opinion.. Though, suddenly he began to realize how he had been able to well, do what he did. It was this entity.. mightiest of all, he softly mumbled to himself. He found it hard to believe that he had been chosen. Nonetheless, it seemed impossible. How did one devour the powers of a creature, possibly stronger then gods? Whatever, he would find a way to do it. He would learn more and more until he would become as powerful as was possible, and then, hopefully defeat it. After that, he would ascend to Godhood. It seemed nice to him.. and Llyw softly whispered to himself;
''I shall become a God..'', unhearable to the others. His face errupted into a smile as he merely watched the strange man, and his smile went as big as possible for a human being, then glaring at Ashen. Suddenly, as the man disappeared, he awoke from his trance and stared at the place where he had stood, whispering the name of the man he had just spoken. Besides that, he realized that he was probably required to say what the others had said, and as he relaxed, he merely opened his mouth and simply spoke:
''I dare.''

OOC: I haven't posted much in a while, and I'm not going to either. Dragonson may control my character in the meantime. Maybe I'm more up to it some other day - maybe tomorrow, maybe in a month. Who knows? Something that bogged me just got worse - just that. "My alien pissed acid on the floor again", you know. I can't concentrate on RP till it's passed. Yeah, well, till a shrink's in the freezer, see you :/ Have fun!

Meyla felt sick.
So this feeling of power? There weapon against evil, was exactly that? They must become like it in order to defeat it?

Her wings fell limp, her head felt heavy. She glanced at the young boy, cringing. Evil had physically marked him.
Had it marked them all?
Lylw wore a disturbing grin, Amnora an impatient frown.
The entity wasn't the abomination here, they were.

Amnora sighed, taking in the words of Holo Dragonson. Would she risk it all for power? Would she accept the dare? How would it affect her? Such decisions, but she gazed upon Llyw who seemed content with his position.

Amnora reluctantly accepted. "I dare," she said as Rulaan seemed to quiver with protest.

As the pain soared through his body, he almost opened his mouth and almost started roarirng of the pain, but then, it got a familiar feeling, and well, it didn't feel as painful anymore. Llyw chuckled.. ah, the first of many steps, he realized. He doubted that this was the worst to come, but meh, he would see.. he would see.

So far Mex is the only charecter that has reaped the benefits of the dare.

Amnorra suddenly got a terrible headache, feeling like somebody broke open her skull with an uncomfortably big mace.
She falls to her knees, holding her head with both hands and screams.
Then a great feeling of power starts mixing with the pain, and the pain eases a little.
But it still lingers with her for a while like a really bad hangover.

Watching her hand, she was standing, in deep thought. Would she take the risk of being changed forever? Would she risk loosing herself? For power?
No, it wasnt only for power. It was to create a new land where her rules would rule, a new order... she felt proud, she felt strong. She knew what she had to do.
"I dare..." she wispered.

OOC: Will she get cool horns like draenei females? =D

Calliope feels a great pain in her throat, and she lets out a warped scream.
The others have to cover their ears as the horrid sound fills the airs, and a few of the gray people wandering the streets drop dead.
The the pain is gone, and Calliope feels power spread through her body just like the others.

DM: Calliope Gains 1 Entity Point.

OOC: Hmm, we've had some close calls.
No failures yet though.

Ashen struggled off the flor, looknig at his hands... a tear trickled down his face... The demon in his head laughed. "our power grows!" he cackled, but ashen meerly stood there... looking at his hands. "Why..." he said, another tear trickling down his face, his soulblade perpetuating the fear and dispair around the room...

He listend to Holo Dragonson. His fear only grew, the soulbade feeding on it and generating more. "I don't want to do it." he said, more tears trickling down hi face... Whats happening to me? he thought desperatly, the fear feeding on his mind. his hands... claws... shaking. he stared at meyla desperatly...

"What am I?"

Calliope glanced at Ashen and thought: "Now you are like me, brat"
As she realised what she just thought her eyes opened with surprise and chilling fear. Why has she thought so roughly? Are the Entity's powers so corrupting? What if she will loose her humanity?
She stood up and grabbed the flute on her waist. Now is no time to let her mind loose or be scared. They not only fight for their survival, but also for the power, power she needs... and there are no second or third places in this game.
