Vall stared coldly at Lucien as they entered the tavern.
"I am Vall Towershield.
I protected this city in life, and i will protect it in death."
After that, he turned his gaze to the Barkeeper.
"Hail old friend! I am Back!"
For a second it looked like the barkeeper would attack Vall, but then he broke out in one of his usual hearty laughs.
"I knew it! You're a goddamn Wayward! I knew it!"

 

[Crazy Cow]

Mourg had spent several fruitless hours searching for the city's magi. He was returning to the tavern when he spied a group traveling towards the fort, one of them clad in mighty golden armor. Remembering Nall Towershield, Mourg headed to meet the party.

Zarator stood up and walked to Vall "I'm sorry but did you say that your name was Towershield?" he asked in a surprised tone.

 

[Dragonson]

"Indeed it is.
I am Vall Towershield, brother to Nall and Xall Towershield."
Vall said, Smiling.

 

[Fussiler1]

''What a surprise.'' he mumbled sarcastic.
He drank some of his beer.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

Lucien shook his, excused himself and went to sit down at an empty table, however he did listen to what was said intently...

 

[erdniz]

"I am Zarator, it's a pleasure to meet you. I, Taiion and Niahcluc" Zarator pointed on each of them in turn. "Were put in charge of the fort by your brothers." He said with a smile.

 

[Dragonson]

Vall smiled.
"Well then, that means that i've got some new people to take orders from.
Nice to meet you."

 

[erdniz]

"It's nice to meet you to." Zarator said " erm, mind if i ask vat's happened to you?" He said.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

Lucien, finding himself uninterested with all the formalities, got up and left the tavern, walking out into the closing day, the sun, just crested the horizon bathing the fort in an orange glow, it was pretty... it reminded Lucien of time's long gone, time's of a simple life. He carried on walking, after all he hadn't had a thorough look around yet.

OOC: With Vall standing there?... you know what, I don't want a repeat of this tommorow, fine.

Raylik noticed some people enter the tavern and start talking amongst themselves, but he ignored them "So what about it, you need any help rebuilding the village?" He asked Taiion.

Having cleared his head, Lucien re-entered the tavern, seeing the same newcomer sat next to Taiion on the night of his arrival, gave him a serious case of Deja vu... He decided to give the man a warm welcome, they were both in the same boat... right?

Lucien walked over to and greeted the stranger, as he sat down opposite him and Taiion (who appeared thoroughly engrossed in his texts).
"Hello, good sir. The names Lucien Karvayn, I just arrived yesterday myself, are you planning on sticking around too - I thought we could both get to know each other, being the new kids on the block..?".

 

[grygon]

"Are you new here to?" Asked Raylik "When did you arrive? I only arrived yesterday"

 

[Grey Nightmare]

"Yes, the day before yesterday, in fact, It was an almost identical experience... Where are you from? What did you do? I was an apprentice blacksmith, then full time duellist" he said, nodding at his soul blade (Viper).

 

[grygon]

"Thats weird that two people arrived here in two days" said Raylik "I, well, my past is complicated, but what about you?"

 

[Grey Nightmare]

"Well, I guess it'll reach your ears one or another", he chuckled. "There's not much to tell... my father was a nobleman in some far off land, he had an affair and I was the result. As a bastard, he had no interest in me and shipped me out here, where I worked on a farm for several years before moving in with a kindly blacksmith, who fed me, clothed me and taught me his trade...". Lucien sighed... "He died, shortly after he told me I'd learnt all he could teach, heart attack - I think - It was quite hard, he was the closest thing I'd had to a father figure...".

"After that I didn't have the heart to continue blacksmithing, I travelled for a bit, spent what savings I had and through a complex series of events found myself training and duelling with the rapier, even entered several tournaments... won a few too. Only low-level mind. Anyway the coming of the undead has increased mercenary pay by tenfold so... I guess that's why I'm here, money and I'm not afraid to admit it."

 

[grygon]

"So your out here to get rid of the undead and get some money while your at it? Pretty good plan. I have no plan, I'm looking for something out somewhere in the forest, however the increased undead numbers are making it harder to go out there alone so I was contemplating staying in this village and helping rebuild it while looking" Raylik said.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

"Oh, right... would you care to tell me what you seek? Of course, I more than anyone understand if you would rather keep it to yourself..."

 

[grygon]

"I'm not quite sure of it myself, I received some very vague instructions to find it, but what I know I would prefer to keep secret, yes." Raylik said.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

"That's fine, a man needs his secrets... Say do you fight? I'm a bit rusty see and could do with a good training partner, if your interested I think it would be a wonderful oppurtunity to both hone our combat skills and learn more about one another"

 

[grygon]

"I know a bit, but not so much with the sword"

said Raylik. "But I know a few tricks with a dagger, if your willing to train like that"

"I could teach you I guess... But perhaps we should wait and see what the boss has in store for you", he winked and nodded at Taiion, still buried in his papers.
"Of course the dagger is fine, perhaps better. In ... Certain circumstances" he said, looking away from Raylik while muttering the last two words.

"That may be best, however it looks like he won't be finished anytime soon" Said Raylik, gesturing to the enormous stack of paperwork that looked unfinished. "So I'm game if you are"

 

[Grey Nightmare]

"hmm, right now? Heh why not?" Lucien replied glancing at the mound of paper Raylik had indicated and raising an eyebrow. "As for where to do it... " he continued, face screwed up in thought.

 

[grygon]

OOC: I think were the only ones on, and I actually gtg soon, its 12:30 here and I have school tommorow. Not the best combination.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

OOC; your right, school -.-

IC: "On second thoughts Rylik, it was nice speaking to you and we will have to train sometime, however I promised Lord Niahcluc I wouldn't be late tomorrow morning, so I'll be heading up to my room. It's late I suggest you do the same" Lucien explained as he stood up and started for the stairs. "Good night, sir we will speak again!", he finished as he crept out of view.

"Goodnight" Said Raylik, and went upstairs to his room, and then to bed. After staring at the ceiling for several minutes his eyes finally shut and he went to sleep.

OOC: I'm guessing the days over Dragon, so do we get our new abilities tomorrow when your online?

OOC: Yeh, sorry for me leaving too guys.
Urgent Doctor Call.
Somebody had just canceled their appointment, meaning that i could get it.
And mine was in about two months. :S
Did Zarator start a conversation with someone else?
If yes: Let's say that Vall had alot to talk with the barkeeper about.
If no: let's say they're both sleeping right now, and that Vall told him what had happened to him.

Resumè
After you left Phoon, they went back into the cave and had a fight with the spectre.
It then showed up that the whole mine being captured by a rogue black spectren was just a story that Nall had made up to test you (the adventuring group).
The spectre was really just Xall Planebreaker, also a towershield, that were helping Nall with his scheme (read the lore about Black Spectre's in the first post for information about Xall).
Then they gave the adventurers the 10000 gold pieces they had promised them for killing the spectre, and tasked them to rebuild and take care of Fort Brenrok.
Which leads us to where we are now, with the entire group at Fort Brenrok.

Taiion felt that more of his power returned to him than usual, and he felt refreshed.

 

[SoLmaster]

Huntico left the keep with no help. "Damn, that Lord Taiion. Well, on ward towards Talongate." He pulled out his spear, ready for any surprises. His speed was casual.

OOC: I was talking to him rigth, so then I'm sleeping, as alvays ^^

OOC: Morning.

IC: Zarator woke up early for a change, and went downstairs and asked the bartender " Hi, had a god nights sleep?"

OOC: Morning now.

Taiion, seeing that it was morning, left his 'office', for he needed no sleep, he needed no bed... He arrived at the tavern shortly after, and checked up the town board, and then went to his table, after exhausting the boards supply of new information.

Mourg soon woke from his sleep and went downstairs for a quick breakfast.

Zarator looked at the bulletin board and noticed a note hanging there "There's a Ghoul in my Cellar!" it stood on the note. "Hm maybe I'll check it out" he said to himself before walking out the door.

OOC: Oy dragonson take this as an quest accepted.

Raylik suddenly sat up, fully awake. He sat there for several minutes doing nothing it appeared, then suddenly he relaxed and got out of bed. After checking that he had all his things he went downstairs to see if Taiion was down there and if he had finished that paperwork from yesterday. He saw him sitting at the same table that he had been at the last two days, so he went up and introduced himself ""Hello my lord. I'm not sure you heard me yesterday, so may I have the honor of presenting myself, I am Raylik. I would like to assist with any projects in the town that need assistance, and someone told me you were the man to talk to about that."

"hmmmm" Taiion intoned lighty. "I am." he said distractidly, still pouring over paperwork. "your first task will be to ask the bartender for my regular meal." He said somwhat coldy. His red, glowing eyes peering fourth from the darkness of his hood...

 

[Dragonson]

OOC: Eh, erd?
Are you checking it out right now?
Also: I'm currently making the lists for the abilities you will be allowed to choose.
I will also (when i get around to it.) add a some general stats to your char sheets.
Just so you can keep track of them.

IC:
As Zarator came out to the Town Plaza he saw Vall obliterating a training doll.
It looked like he was training.

Zarator greeted Vall with a wave before walking to the house with the ghoul problem.

 

[Dragonson]

Vall waved back and continued olbiterating the training doll.

When Zarator came to the house he found a note on the door:
I can't live in this house! The undead keep coming! I've gotten my self a room at the bar if you need me. If you're here to investigate, the key's under the doormat.

 

[erdniz]

"Stupid guy, he should be glad that I'm not a burglar." Zarator said.
He got the key and put it in the keyhole, he turned it and opened the door.

 

[Dragonson]

He looked in, and saw that the house was completely swarming with undead creatures, eating the furniture.
And suddenly Vall was standing next to Zarator.
"There's a tunnel in the cellar."
He said.
"I had problems with it during my previous time here. Someone must have opened it again."
