Map Info
This is the map I was working for a lot of time, because of lack of time I will need some more time to finish the map and introduce the beta, for now I would like to share with a community template of Middle Earth map made by me, trying to recreate the movie atmosphere as possible . I give all my permission to use this terrain whatever you like or change it in any way whoever want it for his map!

Features
Included all the places where the lord of the rings two tower and return of the kings was happening , including isengrad, rohan, gondor, dol amroth, mordor and harad.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

Hi, this is a really great resource. I found it by mistake in your signature. Can you not update it and get it approved. I want to use some of the resources of Minas Tirith, too and wondering where you got some of the walls etc.

I think the idea to provide a good template for the whole Middle Earth map is really great and the quality of the models looks good. It could be used for so many maps like playing the whole story etc.

And what about more locations like:
  • Moria
  • the Shire
  • Bree
  • Cirith Ungol
  • Rivendell
  • Fangorn
  • Lorien
  • Ithilien
  • Helm's Deep
  • Grey Havens
  • Erebor
  • the location where Boromir dies at the River Anduin and the two statues (there are models on a russian website)

Please continue updating it!

Btw. about Minas Tirith. You could replace the three statues by a Rider statue at the entry. There is a model on the russian websites. Besides the texture of the front gate could get some higher resoulation. I am note sure if you should modify object data of units, abilities etc. for a terrain template. I would only modify Doodads except unit types for the gates. Btw. when I start the map in Reforged HD graphics Minas Tirith looks quite different (walls and ground textures). Maybe the map needs adaption for Reforged.
