Unoriginal, sure. I have no plans of just adding a simple caster.frostwhisper[/quote said:...Besides, the usual caster system is pretty unoriginal. Go beyond...![]()

Dang... I hope this won't become an issue; I'm still not sure what the buildings will be like...frostwhisper said:- Technically the building may have abilities of its own (though they count for the maximum of two again). And sure you can trigger the building's abilities as much as you like. Just be creative.
So we can import any icon, from anywhere (THW, Wc3C, our hard drives)? Or only stuff that we've made, specifically for this contest?
Only stuff made by your team. If nobody in your team can draw, just go for the simple screenshot 'n' border method.
...Besides, the usual caster system is pretty unoriginal. Go beyond...
Unoriginal, sure. I have no plans of just adding a simple caster.
However, (without revealing too much), what if one were to take an existing unit and make an upgrade that turned it into a caster, with all of it's martial abilities intact? I need the space for 3 abilities. 3 abilities is hardly .
I'm not really sure I'm following your thought here. PM me or something with a mode descriptive explanation, (

New Question:
- Can we have new custom units, if they are summons? (I really think this answer is a 'yes', but had to ask and make sure... Hoping I won't get stuck with using Tornado, Water Elementals, Skeleton Warriors/Archers, Lava Spawns, etc...)
**Don't worry, I don't plan on making a glut of summoned units; just to fit the hero concept.
Well, the rules say you need to add a unit. They don't say if it must be trained, if it must be an upgrade of an existing unit or if it must be summonable. Either of those options are ok. But it still has to be one unit addition. So if you add a summoned unit, you can't add any other unit.
Just checking on two things:
Dummy units don't count as units
Why can't we make minor spell effects?
Frostwhisper said:Ladies and Gentlemen, because of numerous appeals towards the maximum unit spells rule, I have updated the rules as follows; Aside from the four custom hero spells, you may add up to not two, but FIVE abilities/upgrades on your units, buildings, etc. In addition, any passive ability like Locust or a sfx will NOT be counted as one of those abilities. Custom buffs are also allowed for each ability made. If you wish to use all those slots, to overfill your unit with ablities, do so at your own risk. The balance and race flow judge (Ash) will be instructed specifically to check if the units are overfilled, or if their abilities flow well. Last but not least, a new rule; teams may add up to one summonable unit instead of using the unit slot for it. This unit, however will be using an in-game model. That would be all, and sorry for all the changes, but I'm doing my best to answer your calls and making this competition more productive. Carry on.
And dummy abilities?Dummy units don't count as units
And are these numbers ( 5 abils / upgrades) per race or in total?
(Wait... Not that I plan on exceeding 3-per, but--)
You do mean "3-per-unit/building", right??
I'll assume then that dummy abilities don't increase the ability/research count either. And dummy abilities?

I think Frostwhisper > Scyth-Master solely because he took screenshots during the day. :/...
Also because he used Sunken Ruins tileset. That is pure win-sauce.
