Race contest

[Darkcurse]

for this contest you must make a new race that is different from the 4 choices you get.

REQUIREMENTS

1. at least 8 - 10 of the building slots must be filled.

2. the race must have at least 1 hero. can have up to 4.

3. must be balanced.

4. must have ground units, air units

5. YOU DO NOT NEED CUSTOM MODELS AND ANIMATIONS

6. must have workers, you decide if you want 2 for the mining and 2 for the lumber cutting.

hope you have fun making a race. you can import skins,models, and icons but the spells you have to make yourself. you can make races like the fel orcs, blood elves, naga, and draenai but the buildings and units must be new and not made from the campaign tech tree.

taurens ahh here i come, so about abilities can we use triggers? and do we gain points for making our own models > mayeb we should pitch in to make a prize, like someone could make a model for the winner or some terrain, if other people contribute, i could too.

Do all the units in the "race" have to be of the main race? So that the race can have alliances that make sense.

Ex. Night Elves has Mountain Giants, Chimaeras, Dryads, and Hippogryphs.

deadline january 20th and you can do just about anything. only must is the idea must be new not like night elves humans etc and has to have at least 1 hero with water units and air.
it can have plus 1 race. an alliance of 2. making more models icons and skins wont give extra points because some ppl cant model but it will look nice.
you can team with 1 other person :lol: oh yeah and nothing over kill.

EDIT: man my own contest sounds so fun but i cant do it because i might be unfair, and i cant make triggers or terrain. :?

I'm very sorry, but your rules contradict themselves. NO Blizzard race has EVERY building slot filled, and none of them have ANY water units. Therefore, you can't balance it with them

First, this is just the contest I've been waiting for but I don't think I'll be able to finish it in time. I'm just working at my techtree for the campaign "Revival of the High Elves" and... Were the High Elves really done before? Because what the guy with War of Corruption did was a junk IMO... I can do way better than that.

And... do we get less points if we don't have models or skins? IMo this isn't a modelling contest.

And... due February 11? LOL... Not a chance.

This is a RACE contest, if you want to model for a contest go in a MODEL contest. Yes models contribute to the wc3sear community but ppl who can't model may be discouraged because they are going against races with an advantage because of models.
