Dalaran Mages​

Hello everyone, LordHatchet95 here. I bring you an altered melee map 1 vs. 1. This time we're playing as a surviving branch of the Dalaran Mages.

Lore​

"After the destruction of Dalaran, a surviving branch of the Mages and scientists took some of their research and resources out of the ruins and went into hiding."

"Long after establishing elsewhere, a small settlement was discovered by an unknown hostile scout (Blue)."

"The inhabitants of this settlement (Red) will put their survival knowledge, magical prowess and experiments towards silencing these unsuspecting scouts."

Several notes:​

  • Latest Reforged Version, compatible with SD and HD.
  • Their main theme is... everyone is either a mage, or a magical creature.
  • This works as a standard melee faction, but deviating from the usual.
  • Units have low health but also mana shields.
  • Craftsman Mills can harvest up to 50 wood manually. (Still working on it)
  • Some models and audios will be changed in a future update.

Features​

  • Evoker: Main worker. Can summon magic beings as self defense. Has Mana Shield.
  • Battlemage: Basic ranged attacker. Can learn Freeze, which slows a target, or Burn, which deals extra damage. Has Mana Shield.
  • Spellshield: Strong defensive unit. Can drain enemies' mana. Very durable and has Mana Shield.
  • Immortal Beast: Melee siege unit. When defeated, it'll stop in its place and replenish its energies unless also defeated while doing so. Has Mana Shield.
  • Cleric: Support caster. Can mend allies, recharge mana, and bolster allies. Has Mana Shield.
  • Chaos Wizard: Jammer caster. Can cast Cone of Frost, Annoy, and Confusion. Has Mana Shield.
  • Sage: Specialist unit. Can burn the ground with basic attacks, and learns Frost Nova. Has Mana Shield and True Sight.
  • Arcane Machinery: Ranged siege unit. Can explode. Has Mana Shield.
  • Iron Golem: Defensive unit. Can learn Anti-projectile Enhancement, which reduces ranged damage. Has Spell Immunity.
  • Eagle Chimera: Flying attacker. Can learn Acid Spit. Has Mana Shield.
  • Aetherdrake: Ultimate flying unit. Can learn Aether Flood. Has Mana Shield.

  • All buildings have Mana Shields.
  • Houses provide slight mana regeneration in an area.
  • Arcane Battery: Basic defensive structure. Has True Sight and can be upgraded with Aether Flood.
  • Boulder Battery: Ground defensive structure. Deals massive damage to ground enemies.

  • Ancient of Magic
    • Strength Hero
    • Purify: Heals an ally and dispels many negative effects.
    • Nature's Pressure: Earth's negative energies hold the target, reducing its attack speed, attack damage and movement speed.
    • Leeching Aura: Melee allies will heal for a percentage.
    • Frenzy Plant: A swarm of plants come from the ground, dealing massive damage to enemies within the area.
  • Air Elemental Queen
    • Intelligence Hero
    • Mana Shield.
    • Wind Walk: (already exists on Blademaster)
    • Gale Blast: Deals nova damage to an enemy and surrounding enemies.
    • Tailwind Aura: Increases movement speed of allies.
    • Eye of the Storm: Divides the Air Elemental Queen into 3 powerful air beings.
  • Pyromancer
    • Intelligence Hero
    • Mana Shield.
    • Firebolt: Deals fire damage to an enemy.
    • Summon Fire Elemental: Summons a fire elemental to help you. On higher level, the elemental will burn the ground nearby.
    • Incinerate: Deals bonus damage to an enemy per hit. Target explodes on death.
    • Meteor: Deals massive damage in an area.
  • Mystic Knight
    • Agility Hero
    • Spellblade: Blizzaga: Adds bonus ice damage to attacks.
    • Cold Warp: Teleports a short distance. Target point deals ice damage to nearby enemies.
    • Barrier: Makes an ally or herself take reduced damage taken from spells.
    • Absolute Zero: Blasts an enemy with ice. (Frost Nova but bigger)

  • Tier 1:
    • Scroll of Recharge: Regenerates mana in an area overtime
    • Lesser Clarity Potion: Regenerates the hero's mana overtime
    • Glyphs of Seeing: Summons a glyph which will fly and explore. Can reveal units. Has 3 charges.
  • Tier 2:
    • Potion of Healing
    • Potion of Mana
    • Scroll of Town Portal
  • Tier 3:
    • Orb of Concussion: Increases damage dealt, allows attack to air, and has a chance of slowing the target.
    • Aether Emitter: Summons a ward that rapidly regenerates mana to nearby allies.
    • Staff of Voidwalker: Summons up to 6 void spawns to help you.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
