"Ok, then what's wrong by calling you by what race you are?" Kamir asked while looking up. He could smell it was going to rain soon and so he folded his wings like an umbrella above him and a moment later rain came falling from the sky.

"Uh..." Rin spat out a mouthfull of water from the falling rain, he looked up and around him, noticing a Draconin and a Human, He rolled off his back into a nearby bush, cracking a few twigs as he did. He lay there drenched listening to them talk.

IC: "Ugh.... God damn troll... hid and... stabbed me..." He groaned again and set the dagger he had been clenching in his right hand down. He observed everyone there and quietly said, "Thank you..." before passing out...

OOC: Yes i can see your character. Wasn't sure how many people where there so i just went with what i knew.

Selsträ was very stuck. She had hit a mountain that was too obvious to be anything but a decoy, but too well guarded to be anything but the actual location. At any rate, Selsträ couldn't find a way around it.

The place initially seemed to be very calm, and the tension in the space did let up around the mountain. The random rifts had stopped opening. Selsträ eventually decided that it had become too calm, and gathered a snowball to float in front of her by several arm's lengths. After taking two steps, the snowball was devoured in a massive rift. After about an hour of experimentation, Selsträ had identified the trap, or whatever was naturally happening. The rifts were reacting to the slightest deviation from the natural aer flow; fireballs, enchanted ice, lightning, wind, dark aer, light aer, neutral aer, and the small snow golem Selsträ took five minutes to make. The boundary for the rifts was very well defined; Selsträ had spent most of the last hour creating small snow golems and having them fly in formation almost a hair's breadth away from where the first snowball had been devoured. There were currently 20 of what looked like winged snowballs zooming around.

Selsträ walked around some more, and contacted the fortress about what she'd found. She would make sure to come back to camp when night hit.

"Do you have any other ways of fast travel, as your magic is pretty strong from what I've seen" Kamir said. "this guy has some smells on him that smell nothing like what I've ever smelled in my entire life" he thought looking at the unconcious person

OOC: Zan, your character uses rifts right? and for if he passes trough those rifts, he'll go trough another dimension or something like that, in other words, all new scents ^^.

Brent waved his hands he eyes not even turning gray from the simpler spell. He lefted into the air. The air was thick below him as if compacted.

OOC: yea my guy is one of the more skilled rift mages.

IC:Rin blinked a few times and was slightly startled when he realized he was riding on a wolf, his first instinct was to reach for a dagger, which he did, his second was to feel his chest wound. He probed his hand over it feeling the new flesh, he looked up around him, seeing the flying draconin, the man floating, and the man who was on the wolf with him.

IC: Elenai began to brood in his mind, his thoughts echoing outward and his eyes searching far and wide.

*Consumed I shall be if I do not release this artifact...consumed...I must escape, I must be free of this cursed thing...no mortal being possessed by a god or not can long endure its temptation...."

And his thoughts wavered, and thoughts of freedom entered his mind, and freedom brought another thought to him...

"Shana...."

Selsträ was thoroughly frustrated with the mountain range she was in. She'd found another mountain that seemed calm, but reacted violently to the slightest change in the aer flow.

Selsträ had worked out something important, though: It wasn't that the artifact was calling out, but that anyone hearing it longed for its power. Selsträ was counting on that fact to lead her to the artifact, and decided on a direction that felt right. The guardian sent out some sort of ripple of energy, but it was too faint for Selsträ to tell if it was calling for the new guardian, or the old one perhaps yawning, or perhaps it was nothing at all.

OOC: nah, it was my inner thoughts DK ^^

IC: Elenai could foresee many things....In this avatarous state the power of Etheriel coursed through him...he knew it would leave him as soon as his crystal pupae cracked...or else he would succumb to the artifact and his power would be locked away forever...He could feel the eyes of Stanth searching ever more for his location...but he feared the artifact in their hands. He had weighed the choices long ago.

-Let Stanth guard it- Its power would consume them all in rage and warfare, and their predisposition to wielding necromantic powers made them ill-suited for this...

-Let the Flying City hold it- Never...his beloved homeland cannot hide the power of this blasphemous creation...infact...it would succumb to it as well, and fall from the sky.

But he needed a temporary holder...and Kamir was the only one he trusted to hold it without failing him.

Elenai had discovered years ago what the book held...Its first seals were the only ones broken...The fierce power that Arrillon and Bal'Zammon had wielded were but the first fingers of the devilish hand. There was a secret held in that book that is dire to even the greatest of the gods.

OOC: This is where I will start some lore creation, if Gath will give me leave to do so.

OOC: It's more likely that the members of Stanth would become unable to control their powers before they went crazy with bloodlust or whatever (although I would assume the rage part would happen), although the end result would still be lots of powerful dead things being raised. Under that context, Stanth wouldn't be able to stop it, because they'd get close to the dead and make the dead stronger. Either that, or the power would consume their bodies, and leave a nice hollow corpse full of necromantic energies to go on a rampage. IMO, nice hollow corpse full of necromantic energies is waaay cooler than just the people going crazy.

Just so you know, even if your RP character doesn't.

It's also possible that they would realize they wouldn't be able to keep it, and they'd try to destroy it (which could have whichever negative effects you want).

OOC: I told you you could make the lore in the end of part 1. btw I wonder why you dont trust Gath or Siriana or Aranith with it.

IC: Brent floated down level with the wolf he yelled to the mage. "I see your away. Put that dagger away we are friend"

OOC: I don't trust them because they are growing old, and are simply too fragile and close of friends to give such a dangerous artifact. Kamir is still strong, and the only other being on Darjis besides the Flying City citizens that has experience with both necromancy, and also contains the blessings of the Kianor and Etheriel.

OOC: I'm not arguing that Stanth would be able to keep it, I'm just saying that they're very disciplined. Those reasons you just posted are good, though.

OOC: xD
IC:Vindex looked the Elf (?) and said "I see that your awake little Elf ,now put away that dagger. We should be approaching the border soon." he said to Kamir and Brent "But i must warn you, those land's are dangerous especially for Humans
because they will well... eat you. There aren't many Inn's there so we will have to sleep outside sometimes."

OOC:Rin are you an Elf?

Kamir looked at Vindex and said "Oh, I have been sleeping outside for the past month, I'm a dragon-kin, I can handle it" and he smiled "I'll go see if there is anything near the border" and then he flew up looking forward towards the border
"There are two tower like structures next to the road." he said while flying back "Are there any blood orc's that take prisoners?"

OOC: Dark Elf to be exact, he hides it mostly though.

IC: He looked around curiously, checking out his surrounding. He sheathed his dagger asking, "Where am i?" He watched everyone curiously, to the draconin he said, "The smell is a odd kind of magic, you wouldn't know about it."

Brent stared at Vindex "Dont worry about me I lived with orcs for my whole youth." He then looked at Rin. "Weird magic... Intresting. By the look of you your Dark Elf. Now what kind of magic would a dark elf be doing."

IC: And so Elenai began to commune with his lord and god Etheriel...

"What are these rifts my lord?"

"Ahh...they are portals to another dimension...a mirror if you wil,l of the fabric of time and space around Darjis...the very fabric of creation does afterall, have an underside that a few can travel through the seems to go to places beyond..."

"How do they open them?"

"They simply step through a fold in the fabric, and traverse the twisting seems...the mages of a human nation long ago figured out this secret...and even Stanth does not know its full process...Not even I can fully see all its ends, for my power has not fully grown my son..."

"Yet another reason that mortals must not open the seals of the book...Fore if mortal kind found out the secret...I and all the gods and mortals could be lost forever...such is the power of that one artifact...and my terrible secret..."

"Yes my lord...I obey"
