I now clarified several times, that a 1 vs 1 is fine, as long as you are able to create the feel of a battlefield to it.
However your terrain, darkzxx, does not do that right now. Only to clarify this. Some effects or fighting or damaged objects could do that. But there are many other ways aswell. Try to let your brain work a bit more.

Talking about brain work. Please try to think a bit more about what you post in here. You tend to go offtopic or even worse.

Did some small adjustments, added some birds and bats (not very viewable) and changed up the sky a little bit. What you think? Improvement, or...?

Keiji:
In my opinion, it would be awesome if the Lich's channeling would be a light source(some sort of magical, green\blue glow would be awesome). Right now the undead army is really dim and unlit while the goblin army is a lot brighter(or so it seems, especially with all those flashlights around).
And my opinion still stands that there should really be some projectiles flying around, they add a lot to the dynamism of a battle.
Oh, and those barrels you're using are pretty terrible; I suggest using these instead.

Also talking of brain work, BEFORE BATTLE is allowed, as is AFTER battle. And this is not a paired contest.

Did we miss anything? It's been a few pages since I said it, but the info is in the first post for anyone who has a question. If your question isn't in the first post...well, there's a "Search This Thread" button for a reason!

Thanks for the suggestions guys, they seem very helpful.

And yeah Oziris, I probably would've figured it out myself, but thanks for pointing out. I did the clouds in quite a rush while waiting for a friend to get done with... whatever the hell he was doing.

Debode: GIEF missile models without a TERRIBLE large flaming tail and I'll consider that :p
(possibly a longer smoke tail would fit)

Okay, I'm gonna participate in this :3 my very first contest
So I feel kinda dumb for asking this but is it okay to have 2 forces on 1 side?
The example I'm gonna us is this
Black Blade Mercenaries: Made up of different races, orcs, humans, elves, machines, dwarves, ect. are fighting against the Balir: Humanoids who can transform into different animals, wolves, birds, dragons, ect.
Is it okay to have the Black Blades come at the Balir with two separate forces, one being led by the Leader and another attacking from, like the left or right, lead by the second in command?

and also, are triggers being used to change player color out as well?

I'm not here to please, and I will make this work. All I care about is giving this contest a go.
I still have a few more WiP's to go, so don't worry as things will come to change.

Skycraft, I hope you understand this camera angle gives you nothing - all that's visible is the upper part of the abomination and the ghoul's ass. (and, on a side note, the archmage on that little hill). The skulls and the obelisk block nearly all of the line of sight, and yet the viewer has nearly no idea what are they because of the drastic closeup.
I suggest raising the camera by a bit and moving the tree between the scourge and the archmage, it's worthless as well. Also some of the features on the far-off mountain (the one seen behind the archmage) aren't seen clearly.

Keiji, when I look towards the forest it doesn't seem affected by all the nuclear waste and raging battle going on in the middle. For example the trees behind the undead should be haunted, or at least some of them, right? Also birds wouldn't get anywhere near that area, as stupid as they are.
This is barely disturbing as the terrain itself is incredibly detailed... Shortly put in internet slang, uber win.

EDIT: darkzxx, I'd say the two examples I've given above for constructive criticism will serve you well if you know how to use them.
EDIT II: 755th post!

Thanks for the nice words. I'm unsertain of wether doing something to the forest will make it look better or worse, I'll have a look. But do remember, just cause its realistic, does't always mean it looks great ;)

And thats truely the goal of any terrain, to make something that is enjoyable to be viewing.

Closing in on a last entry here, this is my latest WIP.

I also want to thank Debode for helping me out over chat, thank you alot.
- He also made an attacking meatwagon for me, so I'll share it here. And apparently he says that if anyone need units to play their attack animation in the editor, then "he's around."

Skycraft you should definitively change the camera angle or at least smooth/soften the ground. I also like that ghoul, it looks if so he is going to jump!

Keiji, I don't feel depth in your terrain on the left side like on the right, it's a big contrast. You should add more trees at the bottom left background, looks if so there is nothing beyond that line of trees. IMO those "goblinhopters" are ugly. :p

CloudWolf, were nice, but seeing those gates and nothing behind them gives me the feeling of the EOTW-end of the world. You should work on the background, those rocks are messy, add more grass to the ground, some tiny rocks and the tiles fits were well but you only use 2 types, looks boring try combining it with some other ones.

supertoinkz, original indeed and interesting, keep it up. :)

Can't wait Raven0 :p

Great!
There should be some buildings or towers or at the very least mountains behind the castle walls.
There should be some siege weapons on the attacker's side, or are they actually planning to storm that castle with swordsmen and break those huge walls with frail iron swords?
The hero's teamcolor should be set to black so that there wont be an annoying glow under him.
You could use a better arrow model, there are many in the model section. Alternatively you might want to find a spear model.
Perhaps you could add some impaled footmen, dead or dying. That is, to show the spears got some effect.

EDIT: Come to think of it, the defending side could use some siege weapons as well, you could try something out of these:

or add auras to cover it
impaled as in stabbed a unit ?
oh and changing the rocks into flaming rocks would be nice :D
because it would make sense about the explosion happening to 3 units
a normal rock would send them flying but it wouldn't cause a explosion
