"After his defeat at the hands of Arthas Menethil in Northrend, Mal'Ganis is revived once more by the mysterious lord of the Nathrezim. He plots to enact his ultimate revenge upon Arthas who's now the Lich King's champion and in doing so also keeping him in check."

Is this any different from your other updated version of the campaign, besides having models suitable for Reforged?

Normally a separate thread should not be made for a reforged version, and instead it is just added as an addition file within the original download, like what Med.map Guy does with his campaigns:


I do not think clogging up the campaign search filter with multiple versions of the same map is good for people who want to search for campaigns. We already have multiple "1 map" campaigns which have been allowed, because apparently 1 map is considered a finished campaign. If we now allow the habit of multiple map threads for different versions of the campaign to take hold, it does no good for the health of the community of people wanting to find/play campaigns through the search tag filter.
Just my opinion.

Just my opinion.
It's a different version as this thread will be for the continuation/remaining 2 ACTs of the series as well as 2P Co-op vers separate ones in the same thread. I don't plan on continuing it on the SD version.

Hey pal, very nice campaign. I have and issue with mission 6. the map keeps crashing after about 10 min into the game. I cant find the trigger though. anyone else have the same prob? i have had no problems with the other 5 maps so far.

Lowering graphics settings may work.

Hey! So far I love the campaign, just 2 things I noticed. (So far, I'm just at chap 3).
1.
Chap 2 when You destroyed the base at shipyard. Another "semihero" spawn with out a word and just is a part of the team.
2.
Chap 3. When You enter the city a paladin named Thane Korth'azz. I know who he is but as far as I know his name as living was Orthas. He do miss last name so so maybe change it to Orthas Ironfist/Ironside/Rockheart/Silverhide (this one mostly because he might have taked a name fitting to the order he so much loved, Knights of the Silver Hand).

Going to keep playing now :p

Thanks a lot for these great suggestions didn't know about the Orthas part gonna implement it right in the next update, as for Dalvengyr he says "Greetings.." but if the sound effects are disabled, you won't hear him so I'll add something.

Oh that's explains it, had sound off for a while, but yea maybe one of those "whispers" from Kin'tessa that she sends some help and then a greetings from Dalverngyr (if Kin'tessa still is in contact with Mal'Ganis telepathically).

Orthas thing is kind of new so I get it, was just a thought 😊

I'll make use of your suggestions and add you in the credits tell me if you find anything in the upcoming missions.

So two things. One is mostly a question.

1. Chap 4
Is the enemy bases supose to do nothing more then defend, seems like they dont even make new units in a try to defend. No real movement in base around Archimonde (defending him). This might be your intension so that you, as a player, feels the overpower of Archimonde.
2. Chap 5
Demon gate, a part of the map is of limited. I at other hand lika a fully explorde map so I made a Gargoyle and while I was flying around I noticed that the unit didn't stop. It's no biggy but just a headsup 😊. Same thing here with the defends, after the gate is secured and Garithos yells that the denfed is up to them (or something like that), they seems to no making new soliders when the slaughter begins. Might be your idea about power play again. Just a note. Still a great chapter.
3. Chap 7
This one was great and I really low how it ends where we start in the NF campaign as Illidan. The skull of Gul'dan has "mana drain" or what the name is. It says "drain 15 mana every secund" but when used it cost 10 mana and ends after 1 secunds so it gain is 5 mana. It do not stat how long the drain will be tho 😋.

Honestly, the name of the campaign and the picture choice made me think it's going to be one boring campaign.

But to my surprise, it happens to be one the best campaigns out there, right on par with the best ones on THW.

Cool. Will be checking it out.

OH and I'd like to report smth, in the map with Malganis and Delvengyr, the spider cave seems to have no exit, I needed to kill my hero to get out.
And why does delvengyr have no item stash? So many good items left behind in this map. Sad.
I know about the spider cave, I'm collecting all feedback so I'll update both SD & HD versions just so it doesn't get updated every second will hopefully be in this week.

  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. charter 4 need upgrade,it is so boring to control archimode get full items and level 6 with creeps.After that,human enemy can deal 0 damage to me.Just wait units auto attack to kill everything.I remember my hero was 1000+ hp in old version?Now undoubtedly he is too strong,and enemy was to weak.

Wow. Just in time to walkthrough it!
So I have completed in the past days and what I can say:
In general, I liked this campaign.

  • Story. Finally, all according to the Jailor masterplan. The first campaign to acknowledge his superiority in Warcraft LORE and that he has planned everything - including your today's breakfast and dinner. Joking. Aside from jokes, it's kinda cool concept to show what happens backstage of familiar classic missions and revealing of some covert Nathrezim operations.
  • Gameplay... I won't speak about AI here, only speak about a new custom race we can play - Corrupted Ancients. Oh boy, why they are so weak? The only viable unit from them is corrupted dryad: satyrs are fragile and expensive, treants and furbolgs are fragile and expensive, and even mountain giants are fragile and expensive! Heroes are cool, meanwhile. Also - no proper anti-air, cause.. Oh, let me start talking about AI.
  • AI. Firstly - it's strange. Some missions have zero AI, literally zero.
    Take for example mission with the quilboar tribe and undead enemy. I, having a bad trip from 3 base assaults in mission 2, already want to push quilboar as fast as possible and... He is doing nothing!
    In another way - the mission with Tychondrius. It's so absurdly overturned on hard - you already have 3 ENEMY BASES WITH 3/3 UPGRADES and different stack forces! And you have only satyrs and heroes at the start, well - try to defend! Luckily they attacked lazily, however... I think that it's not fair. Would be cooler to see that we could corrupt them and turn to our side, at least corrupt 2/3 of enemies. Or even 1/3! 2vs2 would be fair!
  • Difficulty. Nuff said - strange spikes, really.
Don't think that this is negative or hate. Please don't! It's my remarks and what I had felt from playing it and indeed I liked it. Perhaps mission 2 with 3 AI enemies is slightly overturned for the early campaign, but the mission with the satyr race is cool in concept but lacks something.
Anyway, I recommend this campaign to play, if you want to see Mal'Ganis more in action. And you are a fan of fancy master planning nathrezims.
