Disclaimer: This project has reached a state where it is playable as a standalone game. That being said this project has not yet been completed. My current record for play through is 6 hours. I will continue working on this project during my free time. I spent three straight months working on this project while I was sick, and I have put a lot of time and effort into it. Please provide constructive feedback. The current quest dialogue is still in the rough conceptual stages and not finalized.

Can go through buildings. Pathing blockers are needed. Selecting Rowen moves the camera close but the NPC doesn't do or say anything. Floating text is annoying to read in many places especially if the colour doesn't blend well with the background...
A fun project i've worked on for three months. Still in the early stages of development. I would like feed back. I know there may be some clean up needed with locations, groups, etc. a few resources did come from Hiveworkshop.com to include the thief model.

Current Quest dialogue is temporary, and at rough draft stage.

Enemies scale depending on how many players are in range.

My goal is to make a fun game you can play through multiple times with friends.

Current save and load system will only be used during testing.

The map is unprotected, so feel free to look through my GUI scripting and take what you need. This project is for testing my ability to put a game together with assets available.

Can you prove you are the author of the map? Username is different. If not, do you have permission to edit/upload?

Unfinished works and works in progress go here first: Map Development

A credits list in the map description with the names of the authors whose resources you've used is mandatory. That includes models, skins, icons, custom spells, systems. Also, sounds, music and everything outside this site.
This helps you with the models, skins and icons from Hiveworkshop: Resources in use by New Horizons Alpha Test 2
You can also upload your map here to generate a list: Asset scanner

Please write a description of the map and gameplay. See guides below and/or other map thread descriptions to get an idea.

Awaiting Update.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

Provide Proof:
I am the author my battle tag is Joshua#16661. Only a couple people have downloaded various versions of my map. Nor will you find some of the triggers I scripted. Let me know what you need.

I'm going through and purging unused assets so I can get the credits applied properly, thanks for the information on where to properly post my project. I will post there instead and make sure I make the appropriate changes. Also, I used to have an account on here when I was a younger, Forgotten_Warlord. I do not have access to that email address anymore. Just getting back into my creative rhythms after some long hard life-ing.

Got to the hydra in the ogre caves (as Scholar).
Gameplay and speed is pretty slow - in the ways of acquiring loot and abilities, i.e. getting more power (also no lootdrops? the hydra had none).
Hard to tell if there is anything exciting coming with more levels, wherefore:

  1. I suggest you either cook more and make a trailer with what else is coming, or
  2. Start the game with more oomph.

And going exclusive with reforged graphics is seriously reducing your potential playerbase, might want to make it compatible with SD.

Good luck, rpgs are a lot of work if taken seriously

  1. Can go through buildings. Pathing blockers are needed.
  2. Selecting Rowen moves the camera close but the NPC doesn't do or say anything.
  3. Floating text is annoying to read in many places especially if the colour doesn't blend well with the background. Text/game messages are a better idea if a panel/bubble with text is hard to create.
  4. Quests should save somewhere in the quest log or some custom place.
  5. Not sure if it scales depending on player number but solo it's a bit nasty when getting into enemy territory and wanting to retreat, killed enemies respawning and essentially keeping you from running.
  6. Already informed the shepherd after finding her after finding a bloodied sheep tag (actually I had 2) but another item of that kind dropped from a wolf (actually 6). Even a bear dropped one.
  7. School of Minoes can block you.
  8. Some better directions for places or map pings would help rather than waste time going around in circles.
  9. Upkeep should be removed. It's annoying.
  10. After getting the ogre head to Mary, selecting her near the other, eastern, gate opens the gate again (animation).
  11. Not sure how to use the ship. Double clicking on it simply gets me back near it in the same location.
Overall, a nice one but needs polish and completion.
Approved.
