Terraining Contest #11 - Battlefields

Adikutz, what the footmen are fighting looks like a giant shield with an eye. That's not something they need to be fighting, even if (or perhaps actually because) it has those weird things. Whatever it's supposed to be, replace it for your own sake.
And yes I'm talking about the hill near the camera.

it was the main idea of my terrain dude, so it is something that they should be fighting... this is fiction, not reality...

and I'm Adiktuz not Adikutz...

Could you point out to me a river, or lake, that has grass growing on its coast? The water looks akward because of the grass, or the grass looks akward because of the water. The grass is also too green for the battle field, doesnt feel right. The trees on the right side of the river dont feel like they belong that close. If you were going for a mountain feel, the grass isnt a good match, and there are too many trees based on the surrounding environment. But the second one looks better then the first because it doesnt have those rings of fire randomly everywhere.

I could only say to add missiles flying from one side to other.

Sadly, there are no "missles" of satisfiable quality for that.

Keiji, maybe some clouds oh and I see the end of the world. You should add at least one more layer of mountains.

The clouds is a valid point, I'll probably try that out, also, I wasn't sure wether or not I thought the end of the world thing were there, if you think so I'll see if I can't edit it, though in that case I would have to thin out the fog, and doing so might just ruin other parts of the terrain.
 
Well, it could be a flood drainage flow.

that is, a portion of river that is dry until the spring thaw, and then the river floods over it and then there would be grass. there's a small area like that near where my mom lives.
 
Hey guys! I figure it was time I was posted my WiP. But before I show you this, I need to tell you there were errors occuring with my SHITBOX of a computer and I lost the current stuff I recently had which were better changes :(
Because of this, I had to start again and I decided to "merge" the former WiP's I had to make something interesting out of it. I've only done the 'arena-styled terrain', but more WILL come soon I promise you do this. I don't expect you to like it so far. Oh and another thing, please don't give me any feedback on what to put on next. I want to do this on my own knowledge if that's fine with you. Thanks.

Note 1: I will be adding environmental scenery to support the arena. Don't worry! You don't need to remind me.
Note 2: I will be adding backing terrain to support the landscape and Human, Undead and Naga units to support the battlefield.

Why do you have to look at the realistic way, use your imagination people. Maybe it's magic? or the terrain is on an other planet? Ever thought of that, hm? :P

exactly... warcraft is a fantasy anyway so why delve fully into reality? +if you want realism, then you'll be stuck with the human units only coz the other races are not realistic...
 
If you wanted you could try to find partners 3 days before deadline.

Oh, wait... that was the last story contest... Never mind.
