You're enjoying this, aren't you?
Here are some pictures of the terrain:
Ouch, your terrain could use A LOT of work
Especially the base thing in the first shot
, I think about ~8 hours (not sure though)So how many hours left...?
i was thinking this contest would go more smoothly if the hiveworkshopmember contest partners got together in person and networked their computers rather than communicating over the forums.
the thing is, nobody really tells anyone where they live, do they?
So about three hours left.
Progress
- 10% of terrain completed (just enough for one player)
- Map is capable of supporting 1 player (8 is the goal)
- 1 of 4 game modes created (SOLO)
- 5 levels created out of 50 planned
- 1 boss created
- ~25% of units created
- Almost all systems created
[*](although some only support one player for now)- The most critical bugs fixed
Gameplay
- Your primary goals are surviving the creep waves and to prevent the creeps from getting past you to the other side of your game area. Dying results in losing 3 lives, while leaking a creep will result in the loss of 1 life.
A quick list about game features:
- Gore system
[*]A new system that causes medium- and low-hp units to bleed and yell. Dying units will explode and send their bloody body parts and guts flying in beautiful arcs across the battlefield- Equipment systems
[*]Your hero can equip a weapon and an armor attachment.
[*]The weapon will give you 3 offensive abilities and the armor one defensive ability
[*]All these abilities have an attribute orientation, which means that for example strength oriented abilities will be more powerful if you have a lot of strength.
[*]You will receive additional attribute points each time you level up and sometimes you may receive some points as a wave completion prize.- Reinforcement summoning system
[*]You don't have to face the enemy hordes alone. You can buy a random unit of a certain level if you have enough gold and leadership (food limit).
[*]The reinforcements will be summoned instantly to your Summoning Circle, which will also act as your hero's respawn point if he is killed. Your hero can move the summoning circle to his location with an ability- Unique Trait and Speciality
[*]In the beginning of the game you can choose a unique Trait (passive ability) and a Speciality (active ability) for your hero that will benefit you throughout the game.- Randomized Waves
[*]You will face random creeps with each wave. The creep randomization takes into account the current wave level to always spawn balanced amount and strength of creeps for each wave
[*]Each creep (and reinforcement unit) has one unique passive/autocast ability- Research Points
[*]At times you may be awarded with research points (lumber) which you can spend to upgrade your units and hero- Delicious Alpha-stage bugs.
[*]Because perfect games are boring. ...right?
