P.S. Well map is far from finish, we didn't have time even to test it -.-
But as you can see terrain and main part are finished!
We know that time isn't excuse, that way we will work on map after contest until we create nice minigame!

Phew! Finished the map just in time! Ok, here it is:

In the grim darkness of the 41st millenium, there is only war...

EXTERMINATUS is a single-player mini-game based in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. You take control of Archius Lithius, an Ultramarine left behind on an alien planet. A forsaken encampment of Imperial Guard will aid you as Orks stream in to destroy you. It will take ten minutes for your battle-brothers to land back on the planet and extract your gene-seed. In the meantime, you and the Guard are on your own.

Story: You and your fellow heroes are on a quest to seek vengeance for your fallen breatheren.

Initial
The game begins with you and up to three extra players. Selecting a hero, each player has to kill each other 5 times to win - and avoid being killed 5 times.
Possible Bugs
Some spells can cause errors, but not errors that can break the game.
Some Observations
As we don't have much time, we reduced the amount of heroes to the amount of players and we did not make a fair method of victory.

Ehm Midnighters, why are there 2x lio's in your map?

One is level 1, the other level 10?

Also what do you have to do in the map?

Um, I know this was a "speed" mapping contest, but I had 24/7 free time and we still had trouble getting in before the deadline. We finished exactly 10 minutes before contest end. I mean, holy crap, give us like 2 extra days next time, that was the most stressful contest i've ever done XD. Great job to everyone who finished, and of course to my partner, Uzumaki.Minato, without whom my map couldn't have been finished.

Well,i hope im allowed to say it since the contest is over. First in Test Subject Survival,i often suddenly and with no reason lost,i didn't die,i was standing behind a barrel when a Defeat dialog opened ; second is Beach Brawl,the gnome hero gets kills for casting shield spell.

I got the defeat glitch too in test subject, and beach battle never did anything. The map loaded, but nothing happened when the game started....

My time schedule for this contest was brutal. I worked Friday evening, then Saturday morning, and then again Sunday (this) evening; I had absolutely no time to do any work (other than the few hours of terrain I did). Too bad :sad:

Some users quit contest or don't make in time...


Small problems only with Marcelo Hossomi & Laiev - Sunken Battle
(latte 2 min :D)
But that is ok: "Yeah, two mins late isn't anything to get fussy about :p you guys are still in"
and with Midnighters & Azurot - Vengeance of the Land
(Yeaaaaah, me and Azurot are dropping out, reasons will be told to the judges if asked.)

I'm not very proud of our submission - it could have been completed to a much greater level than it is now, and I'm kind of upset that I was only able to work on it for a few hours out of a day, and was completely busy for the rest.

Well you are not only one Septimus wanted to quit contest and I was whole day busy (sunday) :sad:

I joined 6 hours before deadline and I saw 30% finished map, and 10 messages from Septimus, he created some systems, heroes, abilities etc, maybe 30% but that was more than 50% for me, terrain was finished fast, I edited interface (something -.-)! and finished all else!

We still miss, starting and ending cinematic, map wasn't tested at all (maybe 5 or 6 times in single player -.-)

If this map become even a little popular lol!

The bug isn't game breaking, you can still play our map and have fun :)

The issue must be due to Dummy dying and dummies being calculated as kills.

But what can you expect from a Kill count system that has been done in 10 minutes and not checked for bugs...


Anyway nice submissions, though most are short and some have a lot of issues.

The main issue in developing the Beach Brawl is that Berb and me are in different time zones :p

Therefore i am 7 hours ahead of him, meaning im almost never online when he is and vice versa.

Anyway Midnighters:

I was confused what to do in your map since i could just walk through it and when i came to the last boss i killed the minions, damaged him and he never went back :p

Love the terrain tho.

Ours was put together very quickly and we left out many parts of the map which we intended for the first version. Thankfully we are in the same time zone so communication was the least of our problems :)
