wouhou! okay so far, eveything have been written down for my race :D even the icon's concepts... now, I only have to moderate... D:

tought, here's a small upgrade..

-Spirit Wolf
With the upgrade Etheral Form, They learn the skill ''Etheral Form'' they change themself into an etheral being.. they are magic immune, evade even more phisical dammages, tought, their attack damage is grantly reduce. So they die less easier, but they kill less easier too :D

Isn't that the basic reasoning for assigning priorities?
I meant that warm colours are generally used to indicate a higher status of importance.
Your colour association discombobulates me.

To Do:

Balancing, almost finished
Add another building, tower probably...
Fix that damn glitch where the guys don't De-spawn...
Think of other things for To Do list...

My race is almost finished, just fixing some triggers and stuff. If more than 1 person plays the race the triggers get uber screwy so when someone tests it (when it's finished) just play against a comp of the orig races...

@Zpider: Poor reasoning for why the Forest Trolls and Goblins should be together. It's not because they're both 'little green guys', but rather because I can make it work well. If one weren't to make it work well, you'd simply end up with a race that combines low tech and high tech for no discerned reason, leaving the statement 'it's because they're all green' a little dry.

Now, for my to do list:
MAJOR PRIORITY:
1) Finish making units
2) Think of Hero abilities
3) Finish off buildings
4) Add more features to the race

MINOR PRIORITY:
1) Think of a race
2) Make it
3) Panic

P.S. I will make a personal effort to Laugh Out Loud (otherwise known as Operation L.O.L.) at anyone who buys that :p

This is the next picture of my race

I thought abou the name again. And suddenly an idea came to my mind. The name can be a random name. So I used OPS Random Name Generator and i saw it writes Adempet. So I named the race Adempet. (Like Tusskar,Kaldorei ect...)

Progress:
Techtree : 100%
Units : 90% (Only a few things to do)
Buildings : 50% (Need some models)
Upgrades : 80% (Some units need more upgrades)
Balance : 0% (Nothing to say)

I made a research in WE.
I put ice troll units with no tinting next to island trolls, and found out that their skins are identical! So you can use ice troll models for island trolls.

Did the same thing, Ice trolls are a lighter blue then than island trolls.

there you go, My upgrade icons for my Tuskarr warrior (now is called Tuskarr Defender), Tuskarr Worker (now called Tuskarr Peasant) and Tuskarr Spearman (now called Hunter).

I use the same altar aswell. I don't like it at all, but it's the only one that looks remotely trollish.

Wazzz: "Poor reasoning for why the Forest Trolls and Goblins should be together. "
They are tiny and that makes them a easy prey. Besides I only use one goblin in my entire race and that is the worker.

Progress:
Techtree : 0%
Units : 80% (Still unsure about ultimate unit and flying.)
Buildings : 100% (I like most building models I have found, might change one of the buildings into something diffrent.)
Upgrades : 10% (Nothing to mention, just got some spells atm.)
Balance : 0% (Nothing of mention.)

That's right, I remember you saying that there was no Worker unit for the Trolls. That's wrong, btw, there's an Ice Troll Worker model, which I would use for the workers (as I have a way of making it Forest Trolls anyway) if I weren't already using 67Chrome's awesome skin texture for the Mur'guls/Murlocs :p

I reckon I'll make my race in plenty of time, it's just thinking of ways to make it better on top of coming up with awesome screenies that's a problem atm lol (the screenies wouldn't be a problem if all my stuff was created, tho, just to clarify :p)

Because my workload has been released heavily since yesterday (which was when I posted about thinking of joining). Basically, with the contest I had with Em!, I planned to work on the contest on the weekend because of my workload during the week, but found that I was even busier then than I was during the week. However, now I've got a major assignment out of the way, I am much more free than I was before. However, Em! decided to cancel the contest for the time being (the due date was close by), but we plan to complete our own races at some point to pursue the competition. In the meantime, however, I'm working on this :p

@Supertoinks:
Mobile Ancient of Mana
Mobile Ancient of Life

These models should provide you with a couple extra units (if you choose to pursue a combination of the Night Elves and technology rather than High/Blood Elves and technology :p)

Here you are, just felt like seeing if you had actually seen these models before or not :p

PS: Okay, I have a sort of 'tower' building which can be upgraded into two other 'tower' buildings, both with their own unique effect. From the rules, this counts as one unit, but that's okay. However, I don't have a 'strict' defense 'tower' building. However, the effects they have could constitute as base defense, and in the way they have been presented they could even aid in offensive moves for the more strategically minded. They do not strictly attack, but have abilities of their own. What I'm wondering is if this would constitute as the required 'base defense'.

Maybe the melee trigger limits melee-only heroes? In that case, you need to add one trigger yourself, to limit your heroes to 1.

Problem ...

Generally, you should be able to get only 1 hero of the same type. The action is comprised in the Melee Initialization trigger so I was wondering why I can make an infinit amount of my hero?

The solution is very simple and can be done with one action.
Just do as shown below:
  • Player Group - Pick every player in (All players) and do (Player - Limit training of Heroes to 1 for (Picked Player))
I know it also sets other players' hero limit to 1 but does that really matter? Its a race contest, not a triggering contest.

Not working...meeh. I will care that problem later. I can't be bothered by it right now >.<

Damn you are right :p Then i have another way to do it. 2 minuttes.

edit: Its easy to make the hero unbuildable after trained once, but there is a massive cheat/bug in the metode. Isnt there an action that cancels current constructionlist? (You know, the list where units, waiting for training pops up. The boxes with numbers 1-7.)

Well some are important. Hero limit is very important for gameplay.

The point of this competition is to create a race. Period. If the point was to create a fully playable race meant to be imported in a multiplayer map, then yes, it would be important. But the point here is to create a race. If the tester wants to cheat and create 2 heroes, I really couldn't care less.

Yeah. I created only one hero. The number of summoned heroes is the testers' problem :)
I mean, you don't play to win, you play to test...

I disagree. It is a fully playable race that can fight against any other melee race, unless it's played by a loser in denial, a cheat code user, a 3-year-old kid or my cat.

I know I posted this question before, I'm just restating it so perhaps this question can be answered instead of squabbling about a question that has already been kindly answered by X-OMG-X.
