Okay, here's my idea for the Tuskarr race.

-Town Hall-

This is where all the Tuskarr get together for their festivitys and their meething. It is also the place where the loner can stay. It is Inn and a storage place too!.

-Tuskarr Worker = Not all the Tuskarr hunts, because they don't only need food, but house too!, That's why we have Tuskarr Workers.

-War Mill-

(Barrack)
This is the building where all the tuskarr hunters and defenders trains to be ready for any futur attack.

Tuskarr Warrior = the most basic unit of the Tuskarr army.

Tuskarr Spearman = A tuskarr that use spears to defeat his opponent.

-Spirit Tent-

The Sanctum of all the tuskarrs, this is the place where they pray the mother earth to give them food and heatlh.

Tuskarr Shaman (or Oracle)= A tuskarr that use the spirits to help others. Can heal, and summon wards.

Spirit Wolf = The Tuskarr called the spirit to help them to defeat the enemis. The spirits took the shape of the royal and pride Frost Wolves.

-Stable-

This is where the mighty Tuskarr trains the beast of this desolated place. They learned to train Polar bears for their hunt, and Giant Sea Turtles for their traveling.

Polar Bear = The bears of the north, these animals have been trained by the tuskarr for their strenght and instincts.

Sea Turtle Rider = The Tuskarr rides these passive creatures for their travelling. They are very friendly animals, tought, they are dangerous if they are scared.

-Igloo-

(Farm)
A tuskarr house!, provide foods and warmness to the tuskarr's famelys,

-Temple of Fire-

In their freezing homelands, the tuskarr have a devotion for the fire. Because it is the main reason why they are still living each days.

-Chieftain (Hero) = The chieftain of your Tuskarr village, he brings peace and health to his people, wich makes him the most dangerous warrior, because he will protect his people at any cost.

Swarm race!!

heres my idea.. please feedback
Human destroy forest and nature, with reason to use it as new village, and more. Undead make it more terrible, by corrupting it. becouse that, a swarm of nerubian, spider, and other insect release their spore to space, hope it can evolve to be a great race that can take control the earth back. 1000 years passed, and the spore evolved to be a swarm race, and now they want to do their primary objectives, TAKE CONTROL THE EARTH!!

Swarm race evolved becouse a strange power in outter space, called Veroid. they can breed very fast, but very fragile becouse space atmosphere. Some of them are really hard to breed, but they have a great power by mastering veroid controlling.

Swarm race gamplay its like zerg (i think, i never play starcraft), they are very fragile, but devastating in big number. But, swarm have some expensive and strong units, that can strong enough to fight in small number.

Like night elf's wisp, but they can melee combat. they can harvest gold and lumber same as night elf's wisp. Very weak and fast


Swarm Queen

Swarm race town hall, it's can move, webbing gold mine (entangling gold mine), and breed swarmick egg and worker (Swarm Drone)

Swarm Web

Swarm food production building. it's a critical building becouse swarm need many food to make them bigger. can upgrade to be Swarm Post, wich anti air and ground units, or Swarm colonies, wich anti ground units only.

Evolution Chamber

This building save veroids for reaserching, and unlock some evolve. Have 2 tiers (next Tiers:Evolution Researcher)

Veroid Mutant Hatchery

Some eggs mutates becouse veroid will be a good veroid controlling. This Building will breed and Hatch that eggs to be a good spellcaster.

Explosivor Hatchery

Some Veroid mutates eggs and make it very explosive. Swarm breed and hatch them to use it at war to be a high explosive artillery.

SpaceSAC Center

SpaceSAC is swarm flying forces (2 units, Air Terror and Hive Fleet), and this builing will breed eggs to be a member of SpaceSAC

Altar of Veroid Chooser

Veroid can mutates only a potential eggs. some eggs can mutated with a rare Veroid energy, called Unknownergy. The choosen egg will be a Unknownergy Master, the hero, who lead swarm to rule the entire space!

@ Alagremm: Thanks. And I might edit my worker a bit more instead of using a different model, as I thought the peasant model looks nice :)

@ The-Rave: You say that the swarm is from outer space, have eggs, breeds fast, and devastating in large numbers? Aye, sounded just like zergs :) Oh careful about your Swarm Queen webbing the gold mine, 'coz according to Chrome an 'entangled' gold mine counts as an additional building.

Avian race Concept

Ok, I'm finally get the concept of my race. After some triggering and spell adding, I'll post WIP and Screen shot of my race.

Now, I can only give you the concept.

Avian race used to live peacefully in Ashenvale Forest. They've been granted power and knowledge from Nordrassil (AKA World Tree).
After the Battle with Archimonde, many Avian member is killed and pushed to move to other land seeking for safety. They found barren in Kalimdor as their new homeland.
Avian race is very aware for stranger. They'll kill all stranger in their territory. This lead to Battle between Avian and Orc nearby. Because of Avian victory against orc attack, they feel confident with their power and make their greediness appeared. Avian then start an expansion to control the Azeroth.
Avian can create a tree growing from scorched building. They will use it for their main place to create their nest. Town Hall building, can produce Worker Eagle.
Avian always storage their food in some type of nest. Can generate food.
This is were the warrior of Avian race is created. They use an unused aviary because its feature for breeding egg is pretty good. Can create Harpy, Avian Warrior, and Arakkoa Warrior
This nest is enchanted with magical power to give the newborn Avian an ability to use magic. Can create Harpy Witch, Harpy Queen, and Hippogryph
A symbol of Avian race. This building is created to summon the most Powerful Warrior of Avian Race, Eagle Warrior
This is were Avian researching weapon, armor and another upgrade for their unit or building.
A modified nest to guard the Avian territory. Will deal fair amount of damage to nearby enemy.

A basic worker of Avian race. Build all building of Avian race.
Basic melee attacker unit of Avian race.
Basic range attacker of Avian Race.
A Building demolisher of Avian race. Very powerful and release a splash attack. Can't fly.
Basic magic user of Avian race. Use support magic to heal or increase power of friendly unit.
Advanced magic user of Avian race. Use harm magic to cause many negative effect or damage on enemy.
Advanced range attacker of Avian race. Can deal lot of damage to enemy unit and use basic magic.
Hero of Avian Race. Can break the enemy wave easily and trained for fight many enemy at once.
Research and find an usage of Avian natural strength. Increase attack of all Avian unit
Research and enchant feather of Avian unit with magical power. Increase armor of all Avian unit

All of your unit, except Arakkoa Warrior, can fly. Each unit is a ground unit at first. If you activate Fly, that unit will become Air unit with cost of mana every second. If unit not in Fly mode, it will regenerate mana in time.
And, all of your Building have Wind protection. It have increased armor and chance to push the attacker away. It also will damage and knock back enemy unit nearby if destroyed.

And, about the discussion about Town Hall not registered as "Town Hall", you can add it in Gameplay Constant > Techtree - Dependency Equivalent - Tier 1 Hall
and, don't forget to add your custom hero and altar too.

P.S : 67chrome, you can change my race name with Avian.

I should post my buildings but I'm soooooooooo bored. Okay, you convinced me, wait...

EDIT: Here we go...

The Hive Workshop

Town hall, trains Slaydon (Worker), Ralle (basic warrior) and baassee (light, sneaky unit)

JASS Section

Caster training building, trains Reaper2008 (offensive caster) and Elenai (supporting caster)

Trigger Section

Trains air units. Super-Sheep (basic air unit, good against other air units) and Alagremm (heavy air) are trained here.

Off-Topic Section

Trains Barathrum (siege engine) and Kercyn (heavy warrior). I'm waiting for NoAmmoSrry's approval to use him; he's going to be my ranged/anti-air unit.

Model Section

Defensive Structure.

Tool Section

Provides generic race upgrades. Unit-specific upgrades are researched in the respective unit buildings.

News

Food provider.

Den of Awesomeness

Teh altar!


All buildings provide5 food. THW and News provide 10.

Pretty nice ideas Jughead and Kercyn, you both have already made good solid unit trees, now the next task is to build them and then post some screenies if you like to :) A few things I would like to say-

@Jughead: Try setting your Blackrock Orcs more apart from the generic W3 orcs. The way I see it, don't use the original names like 'peon' and 'war mill', try a little more blackrock-ish flavour. And how about a little orc-style names for some of the overused unit types? Eg: Spearman -> Spearorc :p

@Kercyn: Lol to some of the user-to-unit comparisons, such as demoting Ralle to a basic warrior and then placing yourself as a heavy warrior you bastard!! I hope that you also have THW-style abilities to match with the unit & building references? Come on, don't be shy, share! :xxd:

Ralle should have the Ban or Hive hammer. Also I think that you should take some better known people.

Ralle has Ban, which stuns for 3 seconds. I chose him as a basic warrior because every big race needs solid foundations (that was very poetic lol). As for the hero, the place is already taken.

I picked people that I know, so that their abilities match themselves (for example, Ralle has Ban, Master Haosis' ulti is named ":cgrin:" etc etc.
Lirch was going to be my heavy warrior and Pyritie was meant to be my heavy air, but Pyritie did not approve the use of his name, or Lirch's, so I guess you're stuck with me ^^

dude, there's at least 20 Frost troll unit model, and at least 10 troll building + all the frost troll unit and building of warcraft3..

The tuskarr have... hum let me see... 3 units, and maybe 4 if we include the Tuskarr worker model, tought he's exatly the same has my other tuskarr. And for the building, there's none in warcraft3 I had to use my creativity to pic the best. And there's even less building models I could found on the hive etc..

So, please, I think you will understand I kind of need that Igloo :p

Blackrock Orcs

=Spire=

[Town Hall]
Orcs of the Blackrock Clan gathers in the spire to plan their sinister thoughts together. The spire is beacon of hope for all these slaves of demonic rage.

- Slave = Lowest of low in the Orcish ranks. Does all the resource gathering and constructing buildings of war.

=Tent=

[Food]
Stores food and resources necessary for feeding the Clan. Can be used to store units inside, great for ambushes and defense till the reinforcement arrives.

=Garrison=

[Barrack]
Warriors of the Blackrock Clan gathers in the Garrison to draw their weapons on their next victim.

- Brute = Typical cannon fodder. Better armor and attack points than the Shamanistic Grunt, but lower health. Can learn Hardiness and Battle Shout.

- Spearman = Warriors who wields throwing spears and Javelins to attack from distance. Can learn Envenomed Spears.

- Spirestone Ogre = Ogre from the Spirestone clan. Uses brute strength to conquer the enemy. Can learn Breath of Decay to cloud the target's sight and mind.

=Forge=

[Blacksmith & Lumber Mill]
Resources are stored and constructed to a weapon of war in the War Mill. Upgrades are made to forge a better weapon for the warriors of the Blackrock Clan.

- Catapult = Typical Siege Weapon.

=Alchemy Lab=

Goblin mercenaries work their potions and chemicals here. Destructive weapons are created and tested in the Lab to be used to more efficiently destory the enemies of the Clan.

- Goblin Sapper = Boom

- Goblin Alchemist = Buffs up the Blackrock units with potions and alchemy.

=Dragon Roost=

Warlocks of the Dragonmaw Clan dwells here. They now manipulate the lesser dragons to use them to their will as they once had been.

- Warlock = One of the few remaining member of the Dragonmaw. Uses dark, demonic powers granted to them to aid the members of the Clan.

- Drake = Lesser dragons that had fallen into the control of the dark warlocks. Now serving the Clan from above, these once noble creatures unleashes their fiery fireballs upon the enemies of the Clan.

=Temple of Chaos=

Orcish heroes are trained and reincarnated in this profane sanctum.

- Diabolist [Hero] = These warriors are above any and are the spearhead of all the Clan's fighting forces. Believing that the demons still have fate in their service, the Diabolists fights frantically when unleashed in battle.

I dunno how to make pig farm a efficient when it comes to defense like all other race does At least tents can hide units in.

And I thought Trolls betrayed the clan, spearman sounds more original Orc and Humanish.

Dragonmaw Warlocks constructs the roost and control the drakes in it. That's why.

Got any better ideas?

I'm thinking of an Insectoid race, perhaps the name will be... Insectoid? :p
Yea, I have a few cool ideas for such a race, when I find time I'll expand on those ideas and create them :p
EDIT: I'm now tossing up between this idea and another idea, so I'll get back to you on what race I want to do. So, I guess my main point is that I want to know how to enter this contest :p

EDIT: Okay, I'm settling for the Forest Trolls. They're going to include Forest Trolls (well duh), some Voodoo-Worshipping-Little-Critters-Who-Resemble-Murlocs-Or-Mur'guls (Thankyou 67Chrome for that wonderful skin, I will credit you respectfully) and all sorts of crazy beasts (figuring those out). So, I have considered what some of the techtree will do (I know there aren't tiers, don't worry about that :p), and hope to create if not the winning race, a race well worth playing that will surely entertain some of yo' :p

is tier is count as 2 units? (evolution chamber-->evolution researcher), is not, i have 8 buildings total.

However, a cannon tower is a very different unit than the guard tower, it has a different damage type, applies damage in a different way, and can only hit ground targets. It has a different roll, different stats, and is a different unit. The arcane tower is also very different from the cannon and guard towers. The four human towers would then count as three units for the purpose of this contest.

The entangled gold mine is so a building to.

67chrome's reasoning is that if the upgraded building is different in even its basic functions in addition to having extra abilities, then they count as different buildings.

If:
evolution chamber (Have research, nothing else) --> evolution researcher (Have research, nothing else)
Then it counts as one building.

If:
evolution chamber (Have research, nothing else) --> evolution researcher (Have research, can attack/ can train units)
Then it counts as two buildings.

Perhaps describe your building's functions if you are still not clear.
