OOC: Nope. :D Just giving them the warning that in a couple of Gath's upcoming posts, his many reinforcements will arrive, and heavily outnumber even the Vultaran ships. :p I have no purpose to be in this battle. :p Not going to make it an example of the Vultaran intro again. Seven races was far too much. D:

OOC: And why would the Vultarans be outnumbered? I grabbed a large portion, and as I said, Gath is being heavily damaged. He just refuses to take notice. Gath, you really need to look at the damage I'm doing to your ships with my bombs, missiles and beam turrets. You know, the ones going through your hulls now?

IC: The Vultaran beam cannons had torn through the shields and hulls of most of the ships. Reverana was surprised they weren't even fighting back, but instead focused on the less dangeroud race. Asura stood next to Reverana on her hologram pillar. "Commander, I'm picking up a large energy signature coming this way."
"Enemy?" Reverana asked.
"I believe so."
"Tell the other Commanders we're expecting company. and a large one at that. Warn the fighters and bombers too. Tell them to step it up so we can meet this threat as soon as it comes."

"What did you say!? More energy signatures simular to the enemy's are comming in large numbers?! Damn, tell the evacuation crew TO HURRY UP!" the commander yelled at the poor communications officer who quickly ran to the com station to transmit the message.

Meanwhile the fighters were still keeping their distance from the still rather large tentacles, and only a few cornered fighters were destroyed by the tentacles, the other kept on swirling and attacking the enemy fighters and key-points on the enemy ships, some squads now also used a tactic where they would fly low over the hull of enemy ships at parts where the turrets were already busy with other things, and made the enemy shoot at it's own ships, or make an easy target of the enemy.

The Zyomanrai fleet was being decimated. Zerentimon looked at disgust at the fleets which were a little less then 1/4 of their former glory. His own capital was barely holding on by a thread even. Amidst the destruction he began to laugh the maniac like laugh filling the transmissions. "You are fools. You should of run but no. Look behind you."

The space behind them had begun to swirl blood red and the Zyomanrai reinforcements exited. A massive fleet well over twice the size of the opposing one stood lined up and began to advance. After several seconds something else began to emerge. Thousands of tentacles came first belonging to dozens of ships. They were oval in shape much like a giant squid the outer skin was mostly smooth at first and then turrets began to puncture the outer coating coming to the surface dotting it. As well as its odd shape it was massive dwarfing any of the ships presently in the space. (bigger than any of your ships yet only a fraction of the size of the moon sized Monstrosities) They approached slowly far behind the other advancing ships.
A insane sounding metallic voice covered the transmissions.

"Life elixir will flow this day. Fleets obliterated. None but one can stand up to our might and you will not join those ranks. You may flee and extend your life, but you cannot prevent your death. "

Do you realise how large my destroyers are? Each destroyer houses at least 300 fighters and 150 bombers each. I attacked the Koldir with at least a thousand flighters and bombers. How many fleets did you warp in? cause I have about 6 large fleets, leaving a few behind for defense. When Elenai posts, I can say "Look behind you". XD It'll be the fish, bigger fish, even larger fish. XD Also, the vultarans are pretty powerful. I'm surprised you are at a quarter of your former strength, and that you decided to send almost ALL of your forces to this one battle. You wouldn't have appeared behind me because that's in the general direction of Vultaran space, not that anyone is ever going to find it.

One more thing, why would ships have tentacles? and where would you store them? If they are as larrge as you say they are, your crews would have to live in a VERY small spot. Btw, how strong are those ships compared to the ones I was killing? I doubt they are any stronger, or larger. It's not like I'm killing a scout party.

IC: "Sir, the enemy appeared behind us. There's a lot of them. and they are arming weapons."Asura said. reverana looked at the radar hologram. "Have everyone fight them off. Fighters included. This ship will take care of the remaining enemy." The Vultaran fleet veered off to engage the new enemy threat.

"Vultarans, we can take care of the first enemy fleet, the reinforcements are all yours" the Koldir command ship send, while te sounds of crushing and grinding metal could be heard from every direction (in case your com uses stereo sound =3).
The Koldir fleet now went for the weakest points, mostly the thinnest points on the enemy ships, the Koldir fighters started to thin the enemy fighter numbers and the decline of enemy fighters increased, as now a fighter could lure enemy fighters into an ambush of more Koldir fighters and use other group tactics.

OOC: Sacrid, Gath's race is a direct decendant from Elenai's Melodari, their technology has bio-metal, which Gath's race also has, this bio-metal can form several different shapes, either it can create a thicker hull, or a tentacle, and who knows what else =3)

OOC: They are however, a more primitive form of the Melodari technology due to the dark-age after The Revelation: However, the tentacles are not too difficult to store, they are essentially braided strands of bio-metal from spinnerets that form these high strength muscular tentacles.

OOC: I have every single ship I use for invasions here thats probably about 10 large fleets. Think about Elenai's monstrosities are the size of a moon mine are big but not near that big and due to their direct dependency of those they have similar technology and are big, but only a small fraction as big. The 10 large fleets I warped in are the same basicly as the other 3 fleets that were there. As people have said I am the direct descendants of possibly the strongest race in the galaxy you can't expect us to roll over and die so quick.
The new "tentacle" ships are easily much much stronger than my other ships all of mine put together(put to together not each one!) still might add up to a tenth or less of the power of Elenai's monstrosities. Of course Elenai's could come here and one would completely and utter obliterate all pposition with hardly a scratch. As for the living quarters atleast on the mini monstrosities there are no crew the ship is controlled by a Zyomanrai person connected to the ship and practically morphed into it able to control every aspect.

IC: Zerentimon and his capital ship had begun to enter a red swirling portal of sorts and disappeared from view. The remaining ruined 3 fleets flew straight into the battle with no more regard for their own lifes even committing suicide to destroy several fighters or a few larger ships. The reinforcements advanced finally entering the battle. Thousands of fighters and bombers began bombarding and swarming the other ships joined by hundreds of larger ships. The Mini Monstrosities continued to advance slowly but steadily.

And it also wouldn't sound like you are trying to copy Elenai, even though you are.
Elenai, when are you going to enter? As soon as I need help? lol Gath makes his ships sound like they'd rip through me, and that his tentacles can already reach me, even though I'm not in range.

IC: Beam turrets fired, sending hundreds of beams into the enemy fleets. Reverana's ship did the same with the remaining fleet. Those were basically destroyed now. Reverana then turned his attention to the advancing fleets. "Focus all beams on the closest ships. The debris should slow them down a bit. Have all bombers attack the same targets, and launch from a distance. Fighters engage the enemy fighters and keep them off the bombers. And Asura, tell Command that we'll be needing those turrets at this location." Reverana said, pointing to a spot behind the enemy ships. "Understood." Asura dissapeared.

Within a minute, Asura returned. They're sending them now. 300 turrets, spread out to engage the enemy upon arrival. They're also sending a prototype weapon.

"What is it?"

"It's a beam cannon. One that doesn't require a ship to move around. Essentially, its a ship of it's own." Asura explained.

"How large is it?"

"Twice the size of this ship. Command said that it will warp in behind the turrets, farther away from the enemy. And they'll also warp in the nodes."

"That should help. Command sees the threat this race provides." Reverana looked back at the screen.

OOC: In Gath's defense, he did ask me for permission first to use the idea (in a much reduced level).

I will enter at the point that I am planning, which will be soon enough, I still need to prepare the field for my arrival. And then....it will be as a show of strength for the new Kraken devices....which won't be helpful to either side of the fight.

My purpose is three fold: Reintroduction of the Kraken, show of power, and gain 'prizes' (girdle rings, and new technology)

OOC: I'm trying to create a main antagonist in this rp. And also your wrong about my tentacles not being able to reach you. They aren't confined to the ships. And one beam twice the size of your massive ships how would that work.

IC: The two masses of ships met in battle Zyomanrai, Vultarian, and Koldir ships falling left and right the space quickly becoming something resembling a ship graveyard. The Abominable Cephalopod like Fiends :)D Elenai) began to advance faster and faster quickly coming into the battle along side the Zyomanrai fleet. The wall of Abominable Cephalopod like Fiends unloosed its fury with hundreds of turrets working along side advanced scanners searching out bridges and weak points and pounding them with the turrets. Several tentacles now detached from their hosts and began maneuvering among the battle bashing fighters and bombers and attacking the alrger ships.

OOC: It has a secondary generator for it's own defense. and Gath, my fleet was still flying away from your fleet, using it's rear cannons for defense. Also, how are the tentacles controlled by your ship, yet unattached? How many ships did you just warp in? You just said that you were using most of your attack fleets, you wouldn't leave yourself defensless just for one battle, would you?

IC: Lasers bounced off of the Vultaran shields as the Vultaran ships fired back. Behind the enemy fleets, small red windows opened. As that happened, the turrets appeared and quickly powered up. They began taking aim and firing at the rear of the fleets. Reverana was frustrated. There was no way this was a small portion of the enemey's forces. They were probably stretching themselves thin. "Use the EMP." Reverana said. Asura looked at him. "Are you sure? It may not work. It is biometal afterall." "But behind that wall of flesh is machinery. And as you know all too well, skin and muscles don't block EMP. And neither does metal." Reverana explained. "And what about the Koldir?" "Warn them. Tell them to get far away and then come back after the wave disappears." Asura warned the Koldir and began the EMP. "Attention all Koldir." Asura said in a different AI voice, one that wouldn't screech at them. "We are about to initiate an EMP wave that should cripple the enemy. Get as far away as you can." Soon after, Reverana's ship began to arch with electricity.

OOC: There is also the fact that Vultaran ships have better engines, as they must counter-act the gravity of the sun. So, he's likely to be much faster, seeing as he raced ahead of many races in their first encounter with Vultaran technology. Though, I do find the benifit in having similar technology, myself... :p But, a headstart never hurt in catching up. :p

"Understood Vultarans, we'll use this time to help evacuate the native population" the Koldir commander said, and all battleships headed for the Slitharan planet, and the fighters seemed to crash into the battleships, though with no damage.

OOC: High speed landings are able on Koldir ships, just as high speed exits =D)

Just moments after, several hyperspace signatures, simular to the Shantarion hyperspace systems could be read approaching from the direction of where the evacuation ships headed.

OOC: Gath, your race should be most intregued by this, as they were hunting them before =3)

OOC: Do you not understand I am defending nothing. I have no home planet or civilians so I cannot be defenseless. Everyone one of my people are soldiers until the next breeding cycle. And the tentacles are practically living organisms themselves they don't need to be attached to a main ship to run. I'm not completely sure but the way Elenai described Bio Metal and the ships and such I don't believe EMP would work, but I am not entirely sure.

IC: Zerentimon has by now flow his crippled capital ship to the new fleet's capital ship and taken control of it. "What is this... Shentarions coming to!? Makes our job easier now we don't have to hunt them down." Zerentimon stares at the Electrical archs. "All ships to reserve power Cut all functions that are not nessisary to the battle. "What are the specs on the Bio Metal exactly I haven't been well versed in it yet. Where is Zernia (Elenai?)?" The battle continued as it was, but are the Zyomanrai finally gaining an upper hand with their superior numbers??

OOC: The tendrils would have a more muscular method of working. Thus, the core would sleep (recharge) while, if I have it correctly, the rest of the ship is capable of being effected by EMP if the biometal leaks some through. Any online computers will be fried if the EMP reaches through the biometal. So, the biometal is like a giant pillow but will remain functioning if the rest of the ship dies. Unless, of course, the connection between host and biometal is electronic, then that could short out. But if they merge straight into the host (controller) then it likely won't do anything. The most you'll do is blind him, leaving him in the dark, flailing. :p

OOC: I am not sure about the more primitive Zyomanari technology, but as for Laminari and ancient Melodari (like the kraken), there isn't so much an electrical grid, as we think of computers...but more or less you have three parts to an advanced and complicated network. Crystalline, and crystalline lined biological-neurological synapses, along, and within, the cellulose-steel material. The biometal produces these crystals as a bi-product, which are extensively used in their technology, basically, it is like taking a silicon chip, and instead of using metal and electricity, it uses biological networks to transfer the data and energy between the structures, which are most likely carbon based, due to the nature of the crystal being a bi-product of plant origin (but I am not entirely sure yet).

If need be, I can bring up the general specs for The Kraken, which is the base form of a monstrocity, and some insight into the workings of ancient Melodari technology might present itself.

OOC: By the Zernia I meant to be some scientist that tells me able the specs of our ships and about bio metal. The ELenai? was just asking it you could help explain about the bio metal. My Abominations would not be effected by the EMPs since the controller and ship are merged into one and my tentacles don't have any thing electric but my other ships my bio metal might help but it might cause some damage because some of the connections are electrical however I don't believe it will totally demobilize my ships.

OOC: OH! So I'm getting into character, alrighty. Hold on.

IC:

Ah...your excellency, your cunning brutal mind shall know quite soon indeed. Behold the mighty arm of the Fiend, made from biological steel, culled from a sample of...inferior...cells brought with us out of our ancient homeworld eons ago, and rendered to our thoroughly masterful whims.

This is the finest culture we've managed to produce yet, from that blasted half scorched scum that was barely strong enough to maintain the hull of one of our primitive reaver-skiffs.

The biometal works like this...

She lifted up a shard of gleaming red metal held tightly between her claw-nailed fingers.

Each part of this magnificent shard...is a cellulose structure, a living organism, a cell! If you will your Majesty. Each cell contains a cellulose wall around it, which contains a very strong metal, and inside each cell is a crystalline matrix, that connects each cell to our control grid, which bonds all the cells into a magnificent, living, ship, under the control of our inter-technobiological interface, which links our hardware, to its biometal surroundings.

Legends and historical documents say that these cells were once incredibly advanced...alas, our dimwitted scientists have only been able to concoct, a mere fraction of the powerful devices our ancestors possessed...but soon perhaps....so very soon...

OOC: Gah. I accidentally refreshed. DX Ummm, as I said in my previous post, I don't think biomass would stop the EMP wave. Otherwise, the solar flares that reach earth and effect our communications, would've effected us. Since my ship creates a powerful, large EMP wave, I would expect it to at least affect some of your ships. Also, as I recall, turning off power doesn't nessessarily protect things. If a car gets hit by an EMP wave, it's going to die, whether it was on or parked for the night. and telephone poles would probably explode. I'm not sure about that though. Anyways, the EMP doesn't drain too much of my ship's energy, so it'll still have weapons and shilds, as that's kindof on a seperate grid.

Hey Gath, can you explain this?
Zerentimon has by now flow his crippled capital ship to the new fleet's capital ship and taken control of it.
What exactly are you doing? Also, you need to fix your post some. You're missing som quotes.

OOC: now then...for my true part...

IC: The Kraken's hull began to open, as large gates along the surface began to iris apart, long antennae like structures with crystalline lining shimmering down their sides quickly jutting outward towards the nebulous void of his secretive area of space.

Kraken stood up from his throne, the long tendrils that connected him to the vast control matrix of his biometal moon, fell down his upon his shoulders as he walked forth in the eerie glow. Staring at the large vision of the nebula before him, screens covering the image with data, and incoming transmittions of information about weapons fire, and exchanges in some half-distant sector of the galaxy.

He smiled, a grim, and grinning beam of evil countenance...lifted up his hands, and with an echo that whispered yet so very loudly in his hall...

Floodgates...open...

As he said it, his hand sweeping to the side, the vision onscreen flaring forth with light, illuminating the throne behind, his shadow growing long before its vicious glory...

The antennae began to come to life, and thousands of infinitesimal rips in space began to appear within the nebula: dust, gas, and vapour seeping out from his shroud, quietly, and slowly drifting the contents of the nebula into the far off system on the other side of his multitude of rifts...The Selarion System awaits.

OOC: basically, I'm ninja'ing a shroud into the system before I enter.

OOC: I'm scared >.<)

IC: Several ships exited hyperspace, but they weren't what the enemy expected, they were Koldir in design, only one of them had the distinctive wings, the others were large ships which seemed mostly hollow on the inside, the large ships immediatly headed for an intercept course with the evacuating ships, the other Koldir ship went to the planet.

OOC: HOLD UP! You misunderstood me. My ruined capital ship warped out as the fleets were being destroyed which was 2 or 3 posts ago. Since he has warped back into the Zyomanrai lines and transferred himself to the (mine not his) capital ship controlling the other 10 fleets so he would be in a position of leadership once more. And if turning off your power doesn't prevent EMPs from effecting you how did Koldir turn off his fighters while drifting through his own EMP fields leading my fighters into them several posts ago.

And hmm Elenai good thing all my ships arn't in the Shentarion's system anymore all that awaits you is a ship graveyard and a obliterated planet and perhaps a surprise. :D :D

IC: "So this race is hiding them! Thank you docter you are dismissed. Now it seems they must be sheltering and trading technology with these Shentarions. Very well I have no time for them. Their deaths will come soon enough." He now sent a transmission to the enemy. "Why do you insist on continuing. None but one has ever stood up to the Abominations you see before you and lived..." He stopped for a moment. Yes only one. How could his race possibly of been so idiotic. Some 4000 years ago they came upon a nebula. Unfortunately something had lay dominate in it. It was astronomical in size. They had seen writings telling of the beasts. They had studied ancient specs, but nothing compared them for what it truly was. Everything that entered that nebula was crushed, obliterated! "Nothing besides a miracle can save you now, so unless your hiding one behind your puny defenses I suggest you give in and be destroyed.

OOC: Slithane system to be precise, I, Gath and Sacrid are all in the Slithane system (The snake species I wrote about in the construction thread) Ow, and *throws another bag of popcorn at Sol*)

IC: No responce could be heard from the Koldir fleet, though several ships went into the larger ships that just came out of hyperspace, the ships turned around, and hyperspace-engine signatures could be read, they were about to escape at faster than light speed.

The nebulous gas continued to drift in, like a fog seeping up from the ground before the bitter cold rain that was soon to come...

Drifting...filling...seeping...so naturally it seemed to just phase into existence...like the slow dimming of lights unperceived by the eye, til night falls and the man stands shrouded in darkness.

OOC: Ok, so Elenai, what are you going to do when you reach the battle? Just kill everyone? or take a side? I would hope you don'ttake theirs due to similiar technology. Also, how well does the Kraken handle the sun's heat in close proximity? and what kind weapons does it have? Is it just the tendrils and nets?

And Gath, who is that message going to? You only said, "the enemy". You're too confusing right now.

OOC: I won't take any side, I have secret plans myself. :3

I do however, plan on destroying good quantities of ships for a girdle. Both sides most likely. (what ever gets in the way)

As for a sun: That would depend, I don't plan on getting too close at any rate, it could probably stand up to the heat alot better than smaller ships at any rate due to its sheer size. As for weapons: There is a post in the construction thread somewhere...It is rather recent, but I am not sure I can be asked at the moment to find it.

For a general lay out: biometal in general can be used as a weapon for The Kraken: But usually in the form of tentacles, nets, and other such manifestations.

Crystalline projectile rail guns, and laser like weapons for ranged combat.

And a newly developed Warp Ripper, which has multiple uses, one of its offensive ones being to rip a gigantic cut in space-time, which slices through ships and flings them back in the warp shock wave that follows. This is more along its "Heavy" ranged weapon.

Currently a variant is being used to open miniscule rips in space to allow the nebula to sneak in.

The worst weapon you will face though....is the massive MainFrame which is deep in the core of the beast....its brain, is its deadliest weapon, and is what allows it to use such cunning devices, and so exotically.

Oh joy. So basically, I shouldn't bother with it if I don't want to ruin my pretty fleet.

IC: Reverana recieved the message. "Are you in control of this weapon? These abominations of yours, are they the ships you fight with right now? Are they the things that are being taken down one by one? If nobody has ever survived them, then why do you need a fleet of them if one is enough?" Reverana smiled, knowing that what he said was insulting, and slightly confusing. And just at that moment, the prototype came. A massive red portal opened, swirling, pulsing, larger than anyone had ever seen emerge from subspace. It was easily twice the size of Reverana's ship, and his was very large.

The sides were plated with a thick metal, the rear covered in engines, large in the center, with strips going to the sides, leaving thin gaps inbetween. On the front of the plated, flat sides that jutted out were more engines. these were smaller, strip engines, allowing the super weapon to back up at a decent speed. Half of what Reverana's ship normally went. covering the plated sides, were turrets. Hundreds of turrets. And they were all anti fighter beam cannons, and if concentrated, could rip a large hole in the side of the cruiser in ten seconds.

The smaller turrets had been firing at the enemy's rear. And Reverana gave Asura a nod. She dissapeared and gave the vultarans a warning. "Our new prototype beam cannon has just warped in. All ships, get to the sides and keep the enemy at bay. Everyone in the middle, put all energy on shields and engines. Get out as fast as you can." The weapon began to power up, a very faint red glow from the inside as a hole emerged from a spiraling iris on the front.

"Lord, they are preparing for escape. The fold points are up and running. What is thy plan." Odin sat there thinking about the new ship that warped in. "Wait until the non enemies leaves then we attack. Norththro'dir would strike this race of Bark'toan (bad word for an evil race)." The fleets moved around the gates for a space fold. This would be a great battle. Live free and die well, my warriors, live free and die well.

OOC: You better not be anywhere in our battle Sol... And as far as I have seen you haven't killed a single one of my abominations. Though my other ships yes you are destroying them. Also whenever I send a transmission out its going to both you and the Koldir sacrid.

IC: "What in Zerent's name is that." He stared at the giant beam cannon. He took a quick look at his scanners. "And what in the...it looks like some gases are slowly seeping in. Commonly found in NEBULAS!" He looked in horror at the screen. Since that horrid day no Zyomanrai had ever gone into a nebula. Now one was being formed around them. This could not have natural causes. He screamed into the transmissions. "What trickery is this! Nebula gases!? What are you doing!"

The large hyper-space ships, which had smaller ships loaded in them, just got out of the system, before the clouds came, this would be the entire Koldir fleet, except for one ship, Kamica's, he was about to enter the atmosphere of the planet, but stopped the ship becouse of the nebula "Mapai... were there any nebula's nearby this system?" "Not near enough to get into here at this speed, I think it's artificial, if we weren't in a war situation, I'd love to get more info" "Well, you may look for info on what it does to our ship, is it a dangerous gas?"

OOC: Elenai, please tell Mapai what the gas does =D)
