Slightly altered melee map with custom Heroes, creeps, special events and TONS of custom items!

Altered version of "Neon City" Melee map, you can focusing your playstyle as normal melee playstyle or RPG style by collecting tons of powerful items by defeating creeps, bosses,
special events, or just by purchasing them on
two randomized shops for each game!
For detailed info, you can read them on
Mysterious Book of Lore that you can find in the middle area of the map.

Each player will be given
2 bonus items, 1 powerful zappelin unit, 1 mercenary unit, 1 selectable perk and 1 eye of chaos as base protector.
Each player can also access two neutral powerful tower called
Voidgazer by using a special item.

This map was inspired by many factors, but mainly because of me and my friends who want to create an RPG map but with AI, but my skill aren't good enough, so I crammed everything into this supposed a normal Melee map. With many things added into this map, I hope it become more entertaining to play.
The theme of this map are Anomaly. many media such as Backrooms, Trevor Anderson, and HP. Lovecraft, inspired me to add anomalous atmosphere into this map.


An anomalous dimension crack causing an entire city to mutate into something beyond horrors, attracting various entity and even gods. Survive at all cost or use this opportunity to rule the Neon City before it's too late!

You can play interesting custom neutral heroes with unique playstyle;
Flash Revenant: Int carry hero with capabilities of dealing bonus damage per spell cast based on his total Int stat.
Xenomancer : Carry-summoner hero who can permanently steal/control 1 powerful neutral hostile unit of choice.
Astral Beast : Chaser hero with weak early stats who evolves through leveling up.
Tidal Guardian : Support hero who can permanenly increasing his HP per rune consumed.
Avatar of Skylark : The only one hero who can flies.
Legendary Shredder : Hero with unique "Mechanical" classification, making him immune to most of "normal" spells.
Golem Fleshmancer :Tank caster hero with nuke and unique flesh summons.
Avenging Paladin : Anti-undead (selfish)hero with the power of light and darkness.
Lost Admiral : Carry/Nuker/Summoner hero who can deals tons of damage by sacrificing your golds.
Hermit : Caster Hero with two powerful ultimates.

Tips to avoid map crash before playing;
After playing other big map (especially in single player) make sure to select this map and then return to start menu of your WC3. This will avoid other map properties to clash into this map, that mainly the causes of crashing. Then you can savely playing this map.

If the crash still occured, you can move to version 1.26 or lower since this map made by using version 1.26 WC3.
for single player, you can play this map in local area network that suprisingly has very low crash chance.

  • All standard race units gain enormous stats after 5555 seconds.
  • Tier 4 Castle and Altars has more HP, HP regen and armor and abilities.

Very fun game, although quite chaotic. There sure are a lot of items, to the point where I think I've only ever been able to combine them once or twice. It would be nice to have three heroes instead of two.

Thank you for your suggestions, I've tried normal unit capacity and 3 heroes (default melee settings) but it becomes imbalanced since the items that I created can overpowering non-hero units, and it can be pretty laggy with full 100 food capacity.

Yeah, I think the food limit is good, it's just sad that there are so many heroes and I only get to try them out two at a time :( I guess I could always play on singleplayer to check them all out.

You can play single player with AI, i recommend using Insane computer (3 vs 3) since they can buy goblin and zappelin, and can use custom tower items (custom AI behavior)

I've been trying single player with AI, but even just 1v1 with insane computers makes the game crash immediately after loading :(

I'm using 1.29, would a different version be less likely to crash?

You can use version 1.28 or lower, since I made my map on ver.1.26

Thank you for point it out, I never know other version would crash the game.
I'll look some of the AI triggers.

Also it likely crash after selecting another heavy map before playing this map. My solution is to select normal melee map and immediately select again this map and then play it. (It happens rarely)

The randomness is just intentional part of of the game, aligned with the map theme.

I keep coming back to this map, it's one of my favorites for when I'm feeling like a "big" chaotic altered melee.
 
I think I might have had it crash once or twice (but I'm not 100% sure, it could have been a different map). I've definitely made it past the 40 minute mark multiple times, my game last night made it to 1h10m before my laptop battery died :'( I've been playing it in LAN mode, with me and 1-3 other humans (and 1-3 AIs)

I do find that if I try to play it in single player mode with insane AIs, it crashes at the very start, around the time of giving the flying machine (so maybe that or maybe just before the perks selector spawns).

Interestingly if I play it in single player with 2 insane AIs total it will make it past that point, but four insane AIs it always crashes at that point.
