Marine Fort Chaos v2.5

You are an Elite Marine that has crash landed in the centre of hell. You and your squadron bunker up for the night in an abandoned fort.

Defend Yourself, Choose your Class and Defend the fort from chaos.

Choose from 6 different marine types:

Light Marine: The fastest and most versatile marine
Heavy Marine: Has extremely fast attack speed with little damage and moderately armoured.
Tesla Trooper: Dangerous intelligence based marine with great electric abilities.
Flame Trooper: Can kill areas of enemies with his flying phoenix airships, has a good all round persona.
Rocketeer: Extremely good at taking out areas of monsters with misses, nukes and explosions.
Sniper: Great at picking off strong units from afar and killing bosses.


Gameplay: This map takes an overused concept and adds a quirky but fun story and unique team based game play. Your whole team work together to upgrade gun turrets and repair walls built by an AI. You can also buy abilities which effect everyone, robots to help in the battle, and much more!

The map concept is practically similar to
Space Orcs vs. Zombies 1.8X

  1. Warcraft III spells.
  2. Mostly regular items.
  3. Gameplay is pretty static. Stay inside the fort and don't die.
  4. Coffee shop/building has a small/invisible selection circle.
  5. Vlad Zbot model has hero glow even though it's a regular unit.
  6. Because many enemy units crowd under the same player, they will start staggering instead of properly moving/attacking.
  7. The sandbags have no death/decay animations. You should trigger remove them on death.
  8. Spell learn tooltips are the same as the first level (example: Starfall).
  9. On level 14 the Medic cannot use the 3rd Starfall level due to less max mana.
  10. Attribute Bonus says Nivel instead of Level in brackets written in yellow.
  11. The above ability also says it has 5 levels in the learn ability menu.
  12. To upgrade UK1 you need semi-expert repairman. If that means training one of the repair peasants, then it's 10 food taken and only two UK1 to train.
  13. Not sure if intended but after the elevators malfunction you can "repair" them by hitting the nearest levers.
  14. Shops should not look like barricades and crates that are also around the map/fort. It's confusing.
  15. Things like Crown of Kings or Deathlord's Shield are out of context.
  16. Insidious Repairman's tower/building has no tooltip. It can be placed anywhere, over anything.
  17. The Insidious Repairman needs the other repairman so you could use those other features... Maybe it's shared between players?
  18. Can't see the progress bar of the upgrades on the repairman.
  19. Bloody Good Repairman has Build but can't build anything. Same with the genius one.

Generally, it's an OK map but would do better being polished and with less Warcraft III stuff and more custom systems and whatnot.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
