Campaign Contest #1
All contestants must create a campaign with at least 3 playable
chapters. The theme is up to you. May the best man and/or woman win!


Contest Rules And Conditions

  • All entries must follow The Hiveworkshop's rules as set by our Webmaster Ralle, and enforced by High Judge Mecheon and his fellow moderators.

  • Your campaign may be no larger than 150mb.

  • Resources made by other authors are allowed, provided that they are credited, but will not affect your score unless it is to help make units fit the appropriate theme.

  • Credits must be shown at some point within the campaign outside of the Quest Log.

  • Your campaign must have minimum 3 playable chapters.

  • Your campaign may not be longer than 8 chapters. Though chapters 6 and up will only affect your score if it is to enhance the storyline.

  • Teams are allowed, provided that you give us a list of all team members and that there are no more than 3.

  • Maps may not be larger than 224x224.

  • Campaigns/maps may not be protected.

  • Campaign must be originally created during the contest session. If the campaign is created before the contest session, it would be disqualified automatically.

  • Reputation rewards will be split equally among team members.

  • Your map will not affect the amount of maps if it follows these exceptions:
    • The map must not be bigger than 96x96.
    • The map may not have more than one required quest.

  • The campaign description must be in english.

  • Sub-map for each chapter should not exceed 3 maps.




Contest Prizes And Winnings

  • First Place: 60 reputation points and a special award icon

  • Second Place: 42 reputation points

  • Third Place: 30 reputation points




Contest Judging And Voting

  • Judging Criteria:
    • Storyline - /20
    • Creativity - /20
    • Gameplay - /30
    • Cinematography - /15
    • Appearance - /15
  • 50% of the winner shall be determined by the contest's appointed judge(s).
  • 50% of the winner shall be determined by the results of a public poll.






Contest Dates And Deadline

  • Each map must be complete and submitted 13 weeks after the contest begins.
    The contest shall begin on October 3rd 2008 and conclude on [rainbow]
    March 10th 2009 at 12:00 AM.[/rainbow] (GMT)

Story W.I.P.

“It smells of disaster, it looks like a trap. So go by the way side, and never look back…”

In the midst of summer, the last remaining rebel castle is destroyed by a flood. Somehow, some scrapped materials from the castle, completely usable, wash up by some of the survivors. They proceed on creating the Castle of Ta’heene, their new haven. It is repeatedly attacked by the Imperium, the Tyranny of Kane, and the Tyranny of Oliver. But, despite the opposing efforts, it is raised to become a supreme annoyance and noticed rebellion that could even strive to overthrow all of the Tyranny and blind Imperial evilness in the land.

Any model are permitted as long as you give credit to the main author, model that are created for the purpose of the campaign are the only model that could effect your campaign score.

Remember, credit must be outside the quest log. Any campaign contain a credit quest log would be reject for not following the criteria.

Let's get this party started!

Hero W.I.P: Mario himself! After a long day of hard work, the sneak peak preview of the main character of mine and raging's campaign is about to be revealed.
Mario currently has three abilites, all of which are to some extent enhanced or entirely created with the usage of triggers.

Turtleshell Launch:
Fires a turtleshell at a target direction that deals damage to any enemy it hits. Deals increased damage depending on the level of the ability.
Level 1 - 75 damage / unit.
Level 2 - 125 damage / unit.
Level 3 - 200 damage / unit.
Notice: "Requires a turtleshell in your inventory to be cast, those are acquired by killing turtles throughout your quest."

Elemental Fury:
Calls randomly upon one of four possible elements to use it against your enemies.
Fire - Deals 100/180/260 damage to all enemies within range.
Lightning - Deals 85/125/180 chain damage.
Ice - Deals 70/135/200 damage and slows the target for 8 seconds.
Earth - Deals 90/145/200 damage and stuns the target for 4 seconds.

Super Mario: "Ultimate"
Turns into the fireflower mode, giving Mario increased attack along with the ability to attack from a distance with fireballs. Lasts 60 seconds.

All damage, durations etc. are subjects of change, and most if not all of them are preliminary until we get to balancing stages. In near future, more abilities will be added. Of course, you will see a Jump ability in here soon as well, until then...

Campaign : Almost Heroes

I want to join this. I have a good idea already about two troll brothers who are into necrotic magic, that are the real heroes of Azeroth but never recieved credit. They stopped Proudmoore, they killed Mannoroth etc..

I already have the models for the Trolls, which ill post there icons here:
