Comic Contest #1 - THW situation

Theme and Style
Style: Hand drawn (Photoshop, Pencil, etc)
Theme: The Hive Workshop Situation - Imagine the Hive being a place, not simply a Bulletin Board and the users are real people and not simply virtual users.


Contest Rules And Conditions

1. All entries must follow The Hive Workshop's rules, if a rule is broken by the content in your comic you will be disqualified.
   
2. Everything must be hand drawn. Screenshots and/or Copy and Paste from any other games will not be accepted.
   
3. Your work must be original.
   • No submissions started before the contests start date will be accepted.
4. The storyline does not have to follow that of a situation that's actually happened at the Hive. But if you wish you may.
   
5. Your comic must have a suitable amount of frames.
   • No more than 20.
   • No less than 8.

Contest Prizes And Winnings

First Place: 30 reputation points and a special award icon Second Place: 20 reputation points Third Place: 10 reputation points Fourth Place: 5 reputation points

Contest Judging And Voting

• Jugding Criteria:
  All entries will be judged by the following people: Elenai, Pyritie
  
  • Appearance - /15
  • Technique - /10
  • Colour - /5
  • Creativity - /10
  • Storyline - /10
    
• 60 % of the winner shall be determined by the contest's appointed judge(s).
• 40 % of the winner shall be determined by the results of a public poll.

Contest Dates And Deadline

• Each submission must be complete and submitted 3 weeks after the contest begins.
  The contest shall begin on September 13th, 2008 and conclude on [rainbow]October 14th, 2008 12:00 AM

A good story is hard to tell in less frames. I want something that you take time to read, not just glance at and laugh.

Aw, as a non Hive-devotee, I can't think up teh funny when it comes to this forum.... I dont know much more than General Frank makes models and Werewulf draws disturbed furry stuff.

Honestly, though. All that requires is a sense of creativity. Don't get me wrong, that's great to have, but it's no good for a competition.

Well that completely destroys the purpose of it being a Comic Contest. It may as well be an Art Contest, themed as a comic or storyboard.
