update notes:
1.12 Added more trees to starting positions, moved mines on the highground so that they can't be shot by artillery anymore from the low ground.
1.2 Deleted Marketplaces, deleted gnoll orange spot, swapped high ground goldmine camp and former marketplace camp in strengh, made the creep route in the shop direction less rewarding, small terrain changes.
1.21 Removed some by mellee unreachable wisp hiding spots, removed holes behind treeline at high ground expos.

Please name the file and map thread title something like (2)New Horizons. Quite a lovely melee map. A suggestion if it helps, to add some unbuildable tiles on the red/corner expansions only to let the construction of the main building to avoid...

The map looks great, but:
  • Starting positions have not enough trees imo;
  • There is a lot of holes beetween trees and near relief (you can see it better if you disable terrain and enable pathing-ground in a view tab).
Also for melee map you have to setup latest patch data set (scenario>map options>game data set>melee).

Oh yeah right, so if someone adds something that makes it a custom map it is still on the latest patch, didn't think about that, thy (w3c, be my guest^^).
I think the only holes that can be used for worker + cannon tower/artillery drop are next to the highground mine and i think that is ok (LT, TM and ST for example have these on every mine). What do you mean with relief? thx for feedback.

Quite a lovely melee map. A suggestion if it helps, to add some unbuildable tiles on the red/corner expansions only to let the construction of the main building to avoid annoying tower defense. Of course this might be subjective since there's shallow water where the attacker could land peacefully.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

Barrens maps will always get a like from me! I love the look and feel of the map. Would love to see Makura, since it is a watery map in the Barrens. Otherwise, you would want to clean up some of the tree lines, to prevent wisps from hiding in them, and make it so people can not drop in a tree line due to gaps in it.

Now not saying you have to do it, but I always enjoy a good geyser with either the "Water Doodad" Bubbles Steam on it and/or a "Cinematic" Trap Frost effect.
