EDIT: A fun little test.

Just to let you know, if you could pull off these lava and ice pictures with all four seasons, I think I'd let you. Creativity is allowed.

Although that other picture was looking pretty snazy.

I'm working hard on my scenery, but I never made a terrain before.
Anyhow, it's the first time for everything at anytime!
Maybe I can give you a WIP in a few days!

Wip soon once i get the fog looking good, im doing autumn first with barrens tileset. Oh and what category are fish in in the UTM, i cant find them, i found a dead fish in environment but thats it.

EDIT - Forgot to post ma wip, fog is not final, it will be foggy, but not that foggy, and color will be better. I still need to get more tile variation and more environmental doodads, and anybody have any ideas for what to put in the water? Its too empty.

Well, I'm a horrible Terrainer but i thought i would at least take a crack at it.

\Naze, I'd accept them, but I doubt you'd do well. I'll give you a tip, look at the arctic during summer and winter on the internet. There's one huge difference.

There still be snow, but much less of it, so you would need to lower the camera in winter, but some trees in summer, then lower them until you can only see the tips of them in winter.

I think you should remove those lily pads or tint them to something closer to the Barrens tileset. You should also add more trees at the background ;D

submit both. Official deadline is the end of this month. And if there ends up being no activity, for some time of course, of anyone working on something for the contest then it is stopped and will be judged. i believe how its going anyway.

I think I'll remake mine. I don't know wich doobads are in the UTM since never opened it. And the blizzard cliffs really fucked everything when I tried changing the tiles. So I'm doin a complete remake.

EDIT: First WIP attached. This is my first real terrain, so please give some comments. This is indeed a WIP, and unlikely to be my final version.

I realize that one of the rocks, on the staircase, is floating.

In front of the mountain needs something more as well.

So, please give me some comments, to help me learn.

Ya. . . the staricase was just an idea. Also the mountain itself, in my opinion, needs to be more tiered (?). It will have many levels, letting me place more normal looking rocks. Thanks for the input.

Also, work on the tile variation. Combine some sand with rocks and(my advice and trick) use grassy dirts from different tilesets instead of the real grass tiles, it blends way better and gives more diversity.
