An idea...
First off this is
NOT an entry... I am waaaay to untalented an artist to embarrass myself. However it
IS and idea that someone may like and decide to use (note: I freely give this idea to you, the artistically gifted to use as you wish).
With the theme 'elements' I thought about the way they all interact in nature and how those would translate into a 'landscape' if you were to start with the base elements and then include where they collide. There would be 10 total Icons possible from all the interaction. To show you what I mean, I made a really really bad drawing (guess no chance I'm going to be accused of stealing someone else’s work. Ha!) to illustrate...
Starting at the left we have Mountains (Earth), then a Volcano (Earth + Fire), then a Lava Slide (Fire), then a boiling sea (Fire + Water), then an ocean (Water), then a Hurricane (Water + Air), then a cliff being eroded by the sea (Water + Earth), then some sand dunes blown by the wind (Earth + Wind) then back to Mountains (P.S. I know I'm missing pure air... this is an example, and not a very good one).
Then you could cut the landscape up into icons on each part, like so, and have a cool set of icons.
I'd like to see what someone with talent could come up with using this method!
