Phoenix Trial #6
Themed Items
Each contestant's aim is the creation of 4 item icons representing a chosen theme.
The individual theme is chosen by each contestant on his/her own, this chosen theme must apply for all 4 icons.
Come up and participate with original ideas!

Contest Rules And Conditions

• All icons must adhere to the established icon rules.
• Active and disabled versions of all icons are required.
• No plain screenshots (or shallowly modified) icons are permitted.
• The icons must be made specifically for the contest. No previous works are allowed.
• Blizzard icon naming conventions must be followed: BTNAttack*.blp etc.
  Example: DISBTNHoldPositionBlackDoom.blp
• Works in progress (WIPs) of the icons are encouraged as they keep the contest active.
• The icons must be physically attached to a post when complete. (.blp files only!)
• An in-game screenshot must be included with all submissions.
• Judges may not participate in the contest.
• No irrelevant, non-constructive or off-topic posts will be tolerated in this thread.
• Each icon must also have a provided 256x256 image of the icons base image and be checked for authenticity, if you work with other sizes, you have to provide at least 2 work-in-progress (wip) pictures.
  
  

Contest Prizes And Winnings First Place: 45 reputation points and a special award icon Second Place: 30 reputation points Third Place: 15 reputation points

Contest Judging And Voting

• 2 judges and one public poll decide the winner.

• Judging Criteria:
  

  Creativity	The icons' originality and uniqueness are vitally important.	20%
  Theme	Your icons should represent the aspects of your chosen theme. Variety between your icons is an important condition.	20%
  Blizzard Feeling	Icons should be executed in such a manner that they can be implemented in a Warcraft map, compliment other Blizzard icons and replace the existing ones.	20%
  Technical Note	The quality of the icons is the most important thing (throwing a lot of elements in a 64x64 image will usually look crowded).	40%

  
  
• 75 % of the winner shall be determined by the contest's appointed judge(s).
• 25 % of the winner shall be determined by the results of a public poll.

looks really good so far, but I think you should it misses the sharp look of a blade as it is right now :>

Nah seriously, you should so do the Night Elf Heroes's weapons. A Bow for PotM, the Glaive for Warden, and a an arms with roots growing from it for the .... Cenarius, whatever that class is called.

Looks like someone is using the sword when you have that glow at the top, maybe add a hand or change the glow? The handle also needs some work ^^
