cause that is their status? For example, the people are less likely to follow the political leader of their people if that person is crippled and dying of a mental desease. The same goes for the sword, as it is their honor,, and their status, as well as protection. If they lose it or give it up, they are practically giving up their life. Less likely to be listened to, dishonoured, etc. Am I correct in assuming this?

OOC: Then why not sell your soul instead :D.

IC: Amenon started in awe at the craftsmenship. He pulled out his own gun it was beautifully crafted as well as was every war team the Ugrentien's owned but was special since he had spen years decorating it himself. A close rival to the sword. "Perhaps we can help. Over the years we have been forced to live in underground caverns the technology we use to fertilize and increase food growth are fairly advanced. If they can help grow things on hard rocky soil they could probably help on deserts."

Elui looked at them both, and looked at the weapons they both offered.

Keep your honour friends, and let me instead, give you a gift.

I am the elder here, afterall. And elder brothers give gifts first.

But the gift giving can wait a little while. First...we have a meal to attend...mmmn...trepol soup today...yummy.

Elui trotted through the gate of the ship with the thought of trepol soup on his mind.

Flaken moves his mech into a bigger pod, the pods are aimed at there main ship prepared to fire them at it. They fire towards the ship and they prepare to board the enemy vessel.

The Carrant and it's remaining battleship escort open fire on the pods, using the las-cannons to try and take out the pods, while the Rhynn's (the escort ship that's still there) Railcannon emerges and is aimed at Flaken's Battleship's hull breach. (Destroy the door, no oxygen. Smart, huh?)

Meanwhile, inside of the Carrant, all crew on the bridge is dead, while it's sealed off to prevent oxygen loss. Ahrimaa and Karne are dueling in the now zero-G zone.

Stepping out of transport, he made his way to the Systematic Control Room. Sitting down, he began organizing the location of the construction, which companies to offer the proposals to, the required materials, everything. He even plotted the testing grounds for the prototype. He grinned as he looked at his plan, all laid out on the massive hologram infront of him. He laid back and closed his eyes, relaxing from the stress of the Council and the excitement of his plan. He was looking eager to testing the device, but had to wonder what the costs of the testing would be...

"I'll wait for a while, until I know what the gift is" Kamica said with a smile "If the trade goes on though, I'll be looking at what your technology can do first" he sheathed his sword "Uuhm, Elui, what does this soup taste like? I hope not like the thing I've eaten before?"

OOC: And Versaigen, you are correct in assuming that ^^, though, if it's traded for something of interrest to the entire empire, then there's a high chance that that person would still get his honor, even without a sword, and imagine the honor he'd get if he were to craft a masterpiece on top of that =3)

Elui continued his rather aloof trot through the corridor.

That is fine, as for the soup, imagine something savoury and thick, with a slight hint of creamy mushroom, with a touch of salty fat. Trepol soup is delicious. It is made from trepol meat, which is a form of bird, various kinds of vegetables, fola milk, and mushrooms. And a secret ingredient that the cook simply refuses to tell me, I swear I've spent nearly a hundred years trying to pry it out of that snippy, cold, flutterbrained head of hers...Sometimes I wonder if she even uses a secret recipe, or if she is just playing a trick...At any rate its a delicious soup, almost as good as Besin Stew if you ever get a chance to try it....

Elui continued his rant as he trailed off into random conversation.

Backup doors start to close, and doors that are near the hull breaches close as well while repair men get to the breaches to repair them. A few of the pods are destroyed, making a total of 18, they land in the hull of the ship, the sharp spike like device opens up and troops exit, as does the mech. Flaken: "Alright, I need a tech on a console stat I want every inch of this ship on my radar now!" Two soldiers and two techs rush through the halls in search of a console to hack. The cannons on the frigates start fireing on the Rhynn. All of a sudden a shield emerges around flaken's battle ship. Radio Tech: "Sir! We have finished repairing the shield generator and power has been restored to it, shields are currently at 100%." Flaken Radio: "Very good, keep up the work on your end and make sure we dont lose our way back home." Flaken waits until he gets a map from a hacked console before he advances, all his soldiers alert and ready like they were trained.

Amenon wondered at the soup. He bet the soup would be as wonderful as the snack the great Elui had given him. His stomach growls at the thought of it. He looked up admiring the beauty of the ship to try and keep his mind off of it.

Exactly what I figured. If it holds to be exceptionally valuable to the entire race and benifits them greatly, then the act could be worth far more than the honor his sword gave him :3 (explaining what you said so others can understand if they don't :p (i assume I'm correct again :p))

What map? Outrunners don't have maps. They use their good memories.

IC: Minutes into the duel, Karne seems to be gaining the upper hand.

On Flaken's end, a passing group of men see him and his soldiers. They move around the corners (like so:

--------OOO...OOO

-------------|SS| )
and open fire from cover.

..... I forgot about my human prisoner... rofl and i just dragged him through a nebula XD

IC: Hours later, he is informed of the beginning of the construction in various factories as the companies receive the blueprints and begin construction. Aknoledging the report, he heads off to his room to sleep, and rest from the stress of the day.

I don't get it. I have no clue as to what is what and what your character is doing.
Finally caught up. XD Just so you guys know, I may not always be active on this, since we have so many player. It's alittle hard to know what the heck everyone is doing, much less, what they are. All I know is var's race. XD Could you all tell me where you guys are? I know what the three races on the planet are doing (negotiations, treaties, first contact, etc.) I actually got lost on all that's happened here. lol

The mech blocks the bullets heading toward his men as it turns around flaken smirks. In a flash the mech is behind the outrunners and there is a giant slash in the wall, the sword cut through the outrunners like a hot butterknife through butter. The soldiers report back that no map could be found. The men return and they decide to wander the ship until they find there way to the bridge, taking out any resistance on the way there. Meanwhile on flakens home planet the Ner'Gulthic assends from his temple to talk with the Ner'Gulth leader. He plans to discuss plans of making better mechs for the battlefield of war and also mechs to help repair ships.

In a corner of Koldir space, a subspace portal began to open. The red event horizon grew larger and larger, until it could easily swallow two moons. A few moments later and a ship began to emerge. Like a ram, the ship was large at the front. Entering space with a notable amount of energy. There was no way nearby ships wouldn't be able to see it on their radar. Soon, the ship finished going through the event horizon and the portal quickly closed. http://i87.servimg.com/u/f87/13/97/94/42/neptun11.jpg On the bridge the Vultaran commander, Reverana, looked out of the viewscreen. The bridge was dark and hazy, but they could see clearly. One of the bridge engineers began speaking. "Sir, we have discovered a planet off of the port side, bearing 1.675...." The sounds began to blur, for Reverana. He just stared out of the view screen. "Prepare the cannons." The engineer stopped. "What? The cannons, sir?" "I sense someone is coming to greet us." Soon enough, the cannons appeared, rematerializing on the hull. They were charged and ready. "Get the shield up, but don't put out the centurion just yet."

OOC: Am I supposed to see anything from that? >.<)

From what? My very bad map I tried to make? Only SDL is supposed to really need it.

IC: With the first group slain, Flaken's group marching forward, they come to a crossroads. Do they continue ahead, turn left, or right? Down the forward hallway is a left turn. The left hall has no defining feature, mainly just the walls and a screen. However, the right corridor contains an access panel, and what seems to be a door.

On the bridge, Karne has been slain, and Ahrimaa mounts in the battlesuit and flies back to her fighter craft to join the battle again.

Yeah, I second the removal of metal corroding gasses. WHat is to keep his ship from falling apart? much less the pipes and storage tanks it's held in. And how can you suck it right back in? that gas is a cheap shot, as Im sure anyone else will agree. Other than that, the ship is fine.

I object against sacrid's massive ship with shields that can destroy metals
Ok, look. I said it takes a while for it to destroy metal. And seriously, if a missile or bomb were to enter the Centurion gas, they wouldn't be destroyed because the gas has barely gotten on the weapons. It would take hours, if not days for the gas to completely eat away a bomb. The only reason it doesn't affect my ship is because my ships are made with a special material found on volcanic planets and planets near the sun. It is basically stone-like in texture, and is covered by a polorized shield. Not everything is going to be only energy shields. You can't seriously expect everyone to have the same shield concept that everyone else does, right? This is a different culture, a different race. You can't complain about their technology.

btw, do you want to complain about the temperature too? I'm sure that's open for arguement, too. Wanna have a go at it? I can explain it in two sentences.

Those who like Sacrid's gasious shields that slowly corrode all metal yet surprisingly allow him to see past it? Say 'Yay'!

All opposed against him having gas that corrodes all metals except his 'polorized' hull? Say 'Nay'.

----
Nay

But really, this should be in the construction thread -.-

IC: The typical routine, waking up, preparing for the day, going down to the mess hall, checking the engineering, the landing and fighter bays, and other parts of the ship before heading off to the bridge, and finally reporting at his station to command the forces of the Black Sun fleet.
"So, what news has come in?" As he receives all the current news on his tablet, he begins tinkering with his tablet and doing his usual as he commands his massive fleet, as well as influencing politics, responding to captains, vice admirals, and council members, and ultimately looking at the maps of the Black Sun territory, checking the progress of mining ships, and the new Solar Mining Station.

OOC: We don't care about the temperature, as we know your race is volcanic. Though I do think the metal would be weaker than if it were at room temperature (for other species)

OOC: I have no problem with it being other technology, I just think the size of half the earth is a bit... too large, and I doubt you realise how massive that actualy is... basically, that size ship hasn't been made in ANY science fiction as far as I know, even the death star wasn't half the size of earth if I remember correctly...)

Deathstar was the size of a moon, and people already thought THAT was huge!

Now, my Solar mining station is larger than a sun, but that's reaaly just a shell. And, mostly automatic. But, planet sized ships are absurd. You'd have an absurd time just trying to turn. You'd have to have a huge amount of force just to turn it, while the mining station halves are simply towed around by fleets of ships.

Even the Laminari at the height of their most ruthless technological advancements, could only make something the size of a small moon. (and I believe, that what they infact did, was build their monstrosities around a small moon, or large asteroid).

At either rate, it wasn't even capable of being a ship, it was stationary.

So a small planet sized vessel?

Not approved.

Corroding Gasses?

I like the idea, but it certainly will have its limits. IE: it isn't a shield, and at most, a weapon that could only damage part of a ship under highly contained circumstances.

Corroding gasses in the form of small arms fire, like ship cannons would be a successful idea, and original. But it is certainly not going to be a end-all, beat-all weapon, because at that moment, I will unleash the anti-godmodding kraken. ;)

The weapon's range will be limited to how far it can go based on the pressure used to launch it, otherwise it will dissipate into a cloud and lose its concentrated effectiveness. And ship shields will act as a preventive measure against such gasses.

Laminari ships especially would find themselves keenly immune to such gasses. Since our ships are not made of 'common metal' that corrodes, our biological ships would most likely be quite eager to gather the gasses for their own use.

Small moon-sized.
But yeah, I don't care if it's a different race or not, but gases wouldn't work in space, because they would either:
A. Freeze into a solid unless close to a star
B. Not be able to move, and have A happen
C. The gases explode while trying to expand.

rofl. Elenai is right. I thought of the chance of using it as a weapon, except it'd require good amounts of it, would fail on biomatter and shields, and would require a good supply to provide ample firepower. And, to have shields that contain the gas around your ship would mean to be unable to fire back. You'd just be a shrouded brick :p

A radio comes back to flaken. Radio: "Sir, we have comfrimation that the target has left the ship and joined back in the battle." Flaken: "Alright then, since we have no further use for this ship lets destroy it and get back to the bridge." The soldiers put on there masks and aim for the hulls, throwing gum grenades onto it a huge hole is blown open, they jump out as the soldiers activate there jet packs and start throwing more gum grenades at the hull, they threw as many as they could blowing many holes in the hull. When they finish they follow flaken to the many transport ships to get back to the battleship. (The many is to confuse the enemy so they dont take them all down.) When they return flaken continues to coordinate the battle.

Ok, look. I'll scale it down abit. But honestly, All of you guys just screamed the same message at me (except for Elenai), "We hate you and your ship!" That's the message I get. Don't even bother responding to that.

The reason I have the gases on the inside of the shield is because it is NOT a weapon. If you even bothered to read about my ship, you'd lear that the gas strengthens the shields, but also has a corrosive element to it. This means that any ships that try to board my ship during a battle would be hit by the corrosive gases. it makes a great shield, and as I recall saying back then, the gas doens't explode. Tahril, what are you basing your facts on? There is a lot of gases in space. Space actually does have an atmosphere, but is so spread out that no life can live in it. Also, gases don't freeze like that, not in space. If you were to dump a bottle of coke out into space, the coke would just spread out. It wouldn't freeze.

And about my ship, most of the ship is a mining vessel. This means that the WARSHIP, my super destroyer, doesn't have to go back to a station to be refueled. It can go through nebulas (with debris) and collect the plasma. It has two large fans (like those on jets) that cut up the materials into fine, small peices. THe front actually opens up for collection.

I will scale it down, however, it's power will not be dropped. The gas isn't a weapon, but is for defense. How can you say that isn't original elenai? the gas weapon definitly isn't. I've seen that alot. And my ship isn't the Death Star. It doesn't kill planets in one shot. Are you guys going to complain anymore? or can we finally CONTINUE?!

Edit:
The red event horizon grew larger and larger, until it could easily swallow two moons.
That's the subspace portal. Not the ship. and also, Earth isn't the size of two moons. here is a link to my question of "how many moons can fit inside the Earth? The answer I think will surprise you guys." http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_moons_can_fit_in_the_earth
I fixed the info. Happy? DX

OOC: You yourself said it was the size of half the earth ¬¬
Anyway, Elenai said it WAS original, we're only comparing it to the deathstar in size, and we don't hate you in person, we just think that the shear size of your structure is way above the technological max that a playable race should have =/ and you've got to think of the down sides of such a massive ship, as someone already said, it takes forever and loads of energy to turn, accellerate and stop, also, just a question, what's all that space being used for? Becouse I can't think of anything that'd need to be so big..., and I can't continiue if Gath or Elenai do not respond >.<)

The Carrant implodes in a spectacular explosion, with a multitude of lights everywhere. A few of the men looking at it are temporarily blinded.
A few seconds later, the Rhynn opens up a broadcasting channel, announcing it's surrender to the Exile. It's captain, (who's image may or may not show on Flaken's ship, depending on whether or not he's got a video transmitter.) a tall man with a commanding look, says this:
This is the frigate Rhynn of the Outrunner navy. Exile, my ship and it's crew surrender.

Except the gasses are volcanic and not anturally in space. And also, if at the right temperature, any gas will burn.

Coke in space spreads out due to gravity-loss. We don't see if freeze, cause parts of Earth are actually colder than space. It would take a short time for it to freeze though.

IC: With the following days, the flagship sat with the defense fleet at Shakuras, keeping track of the fleet, the construction, and reports across the systems.

OOC: Another reason I hate the size of the ship, is that it is the ultimate blockade runner. It could warp in, and would be unable to stop in time, smashing through my defense fleet, and making Shakuras uninhabitable as the burning parts of the ship spread across the planet, and the ship itself rams a massive hole into the planet, throwing it's orbit around the sun into chaos, making it a rogue planet, or hurtled into the sun. These are the dangers of a ship that large, which is why we never see them in TV, comics, games, or anywhere, due to its impracticality.

Flaken: "Alright then, but you will have to face the Ner'Gulthic to see if you are worthy enough to be let loose, you and your crew will be taken as prisoners and taken back to Fekeo and our god will decide your punishment there. In the mean time your paying for my ships repairs! I got alot of money invested in this thing damet..." Transport ships went to the enemys ships to pick the enemy up and transport them onto the frigates and battleships. Flaken sat back in his chair and sighed in relife as the video transmitter was almost done so he could onlyu see half of the tall man due to the other half falling off during the fight. The workers come in and begin to repair it, soldiers inside the transport ships wait with shadow cuffs and there shadow rifles. Flaken had assured the captain that him nor his crew would be harmed unless they tried to resist. Shadow Soldier: "Do you trust them sir?" Flaken: "No I dont which is why we are going to go to another planet and signal the Ner'Gulthic to meet us there to decide there fate."

OOC: First off sacrid GET THE FUCK IN THE CONSTRUCTION THREAD! THis goes for all of the discussions about his and any races. The rping thread will no more be used for race discussion perposes.

IC: Amenon looked over at Kamica and Elui. How is it possible for three races to have met in one day. The odds are astronomically unlikely. But yet it is happening the noble and honorable Kamica on one side representing his race and the great Elui representing his race or at least this caravan. He thought over all the events of the day. "I've been wondering something Elui. How did you get a ship to be biological like this. It seems so odd and impossible. Yet I am looking at it now."

Elui looked at Kamica, and noted with a slight air of childlike concern.

If trepol soup does not suit you, then we surely can find something for your pallette.

Turning to Amenon upon hearing his question, he replied:

Laminad works in mysterious ways. As for our ships...

We grow them, after a certain fashion. Though it is more like carving, and growing, all at the same time. Imagine that you start with a seed, and you make it grow, and as it grows you carve into the tree and form it to your desire, and into that tree you implant technology, and you devise the cells to produce highly organized and strong outer shells, consuming iron and other heavy metals to create a special alloy...that makes it strong. A bark of steel. And into this tree, that now has engines, power sources, and other technological wonders...You place within its dormant, and sleeping core, a consciousness, an AI of sorts, though artificial it is not. Arboreal Intelligence, more accurately.

Did you not read me saying that I wanted to RP? Just RP already. I didn't start this in this thread. I never wanted it here. So please don't pursue this any further.

btw, has the melee guy posted yet?

OOC: As several people have posted, we want to get back to the RPing posts being frequent. Now, sacrid did say he shrunk it down. I personally don't like the gas he has, but I'm sure he can use it for special attacks where he launches it at enemies. Now, I suppose, that having a half million member crew, that about 2/3 of his ship is composed of gas vaults, as well as massive storage contaners for minerals, and the rest composed of mining equipement, since it IS a mining ship gone military. The rest of the ship is crew quarters, subspace drives, engines, helm, and other things related to all ships

They see huge cannons start to merge out of the battleships. Flaken: "We are shadows... we dont care much for life unless we find it interesting. You get in the way of us and you will face the consequences. So either surrender our way or die where you are... its your choice." Its clear that they mean business, if he were smart he would do what they said. The soldiers on the transport ships still ready to fire if necessary. Flaken leans forward on his arm, the elbow on the arm of the chair. He has a serious look on his face. The mechanics working to fix up the vid doc.

The admiral watches as the selected sites are prepped forlarge scale construction of the devices, the void of space being nearly perfect for clean areas to build without the taint of factories. Construction drones prepped the sites as transports ferried the materials up, beginning largescale construction of the devices. Soon, soon he would ahve a weapon, a way of fighting back against the bioplatform, to claim the nebula for his gas mining operations and those of other companies. Turning from the screen, the screen back to the logo of the Black Sun empire, he turned to the news, and watched the polotics on several planets. Carefully manicured, life on central Black Sun planets was peaceful and the police did a good job of quashing crimes, leaving the public in peace and prosperity. Religious beliefs were widely accepted as long as they did not endanger the safety of society (aka muslim-like religions). Science was the main philosophy, and crafts, and technology were prominant on Shakuras and other worlds. Life was great, and the news true. Corruption had appeared to have been left behind on their ancient homeworld. And as the admiral watched, he smiled...

Amenon wondere over the ship once more his mind full of images of a ship like this born from a seed and cared for as a child until it grew into an impressive bioship. "If it is biological does it grow?" At that thought his stomach began to growl. "So when are we eating again?"

Elui walked through the corridors of the ship with his two diplomatic acquaintances, and soon he came upon a large bulkhead that separated the corridor from the main hall of the ship.

We shall eat soon. The meal is just behind this bulkhead.

And with that Elui gently touched the solid gate of bio-metal steel, and watched as it folded away like a fan, a quick breeze flew in their faces as the pressure stabilized from the inside, to the out.

The bulkhead opened, he walked through, revealing the vastness of the ship.

A magnificent, open, circular room, like a central court, a plaza within a ship, with glimmering Laminari busy about their daily, carefree schedules. The argent walls were covered in vines, and limbs of the ship jutted outward, unkempt and wild, boughs of leaves, and flowers filled the walls, wrapped around pillars, and ran low to the ground, like a magnificent mural of dimly glowing, translucent leaves, and bark. Huge silk like fabrics and tapestries hung down from the vaulted roof of the ship. Laminari children flitting between them in their games. And Laminari craftsmen busy creating, and maintaining the ship's functions beneath the biological masses.

A meal will be set for us soon enough. This is the central court. Laminari ships are usually of 3 main parts, not counting weaponry, or the bridge. Here we are in the heart of the ship of peacetime. The corridors we walked through would have lead to smaller rooms such as private quarters, and storage areas, basically, "facilities".

You then have smaller versions of this central court that surround this central one. They are through the bulkheads you see there.

Elui waved his hand, showing bulkheads set in the circular walls, leading outward to the other courts.

As for our weapons Kamica, I will show you a 'hologram' as the younger races call it...When we are seated to eat.
