"Yet here I was under the impression that the Nur'Gulth were trying to destroy my race by testing my forces with that machine."
He was not happy, his voice sharp and angry. "How, exactly am I supposed to deal with a race that wants your type dead. How should I form an alliance, hypothetically, with a race that wants to destroy the race, and those affiliated, that I am trying to build a future alliance with. I can't see myself becoming allies to those that want to kill you, as I am working to build a future for the remaining member of your race. They would still want you dead, and having two races that hate eachother o are at war, do not make for good allies in the longterm when I have to decide with whom to go with."
He closed his eyes. "So, how would you ahve me play this? Ally you or the Nur'Gulth just to beat back the Agelics? To beat back those that would think my race has been corrupted by allying ourselves with them? How, when my territory is under seige by both the Nur'Gulth and the Holis, am I to ally those that attack me? The Holis are corrupted. They are energy beings. I have men trying to purify them currently, by seeking out a device of a race that attacked me earlier, and now takes refuge in one of my planets. The Nur'Gulth, who attack a city, then want to make peace? Why should I be expected to ally such races? And, if I deem so, who will make me, when the Angelics coming knocking on my door? Who is to say that I cannot convince or prove to them that my people have not been corrpted, that it is those three races that should meet the fates dealt by themselves? Why should my race accept a fate when such a meeting was brought down upon us for helping others? To go against our ways would be to return to corruption of the past. And as if in any chance in Hell am I going to let my people suffer for the doings of others! I will fight those I need to fight to ensure the survival of my people, and deny corruption upon our souls, our minds and lives! I shall not let my race, the Chozo, fall!"
He stood up as he finished, slamming the table. He was enraged. Not at his shadowy guest, but at the concepts given to him. His monologue done, he stared into the eyes of his shadowy guest, and finally collapsed into hs chair, putting a hand to lay his face on, clearing his mind again.
OOC: :/ Monologue done Oo You don't need to answer all the questions, just the basic idea.

He doesn't want to ally anyone who has attacked him. It'd be like allying the mafia. If they're greedy, they will backstab you and take your stuff when you let your guard down to them the most, or until they see the slightest oppertunity.
