Lol,at Chriz. :xxd:

I have found a nice map idea:

It will be like a mini-game around 20 minutes not more.It will be called Spell Arena, and you will have to buy the spells instead of learning them.

You won't choose your hero,it is meant for 4 player.Player 1 has A,2 has B,3 has C and 4 has D.

You start in your own region(I divided 4 regions)and you start creeping and gaining gold and purchasing spells and items. You make your hero either spell based or Strength based.
You have 15 minutes to level-up your hero.Heroes will be balanced 3 of them will be good with their primary attributes(Str,Agi,Int)and the other one will be balanced.

After 15 minutes the heroes will be teleported to the middle of the map where is the special arena where the final battle happens. The last to survive wins and then a little cinematic starts.

That's all.I have started the map with a bit of terraining. If we agree on this one we shall start!

i have a greater idea:
i'm curently making a map and i want to make the hero having more than 6 items on it. lets say that one slot is an comutation item. i mean when you press it all the items are hidden but the effects are still available.
i managed to make this system to do very fast.
but one problem: some items when hidden creates some bugyy things like decreasing hp.(i dont know why)
also you can do this to hero taverns, shops and other.
Source of inspiration? L2
(((P.S: i need one male archer for my map,ou can help?,)))

UchihaSasuke.gr, that sound very close to RotG, except worse. That seems like more of a full game with few players rather than a mini game. I think if a few of us make mini-games, we can put them all into one map and have mini-games like that.

My problem with your idea is that it seems to be 15 minutes of creeping followed by a few minutes of combat with some generic heroes thrown in. Perhaps if you increase the players to 8, 2v2v2v2, it may be a little better.

mr_danutzzz, are you on the team? Your idea is ok, but this team is making a map from scratch, not finishing someone elses projects. Thankyou for your input though.

I think we should get a genre decided. We want a small project to get us started. I think we go for something that is simple to complete, but something we can come back to to make really awesome. This is why I suggested Star Wars Battle Front style map. Not about Star Wars though. Mini-games conglomerated into one map would give us all a chance to show where our skill lie, and how progressed they are.

We should do a poll for our first genre. Who is to say that we cannot have more than one project running at once. The only problem with maps is we cannot release them until we have the team name on them.

Single Player RPG is a nice idea.I hope my own idea will be finished later. As for DwarfZealot I know he is good and has talent and I admire it.Believe me he will join later. Now we are too much.Is this ok?

raging we gotta find a name!
What about these:

-Dreadlord Productions
-Naked Eye Productions
-Clan THM(The Hive mappers)
I don't have any other ideas, but we gotta find more!

Another idea would be a spin-off of a boardgame I played once. It was for free if you bought an inquest.

This was how the game was played:
You (either "The Cook", "Chucky the Zombie" or "The Rats") were on a spacestation that is about to explode. As there's only 1 escapepod, only 1 guy can escape.
On start, you are given a certain code (e.g. AAB, BAB, ...) composed of 3 characters, either A or B. Spread over the Spacestation, there are 3 switches that can be turned A or B. Obviously, when the switches are correct, you can enter the escape pod. However, as there are more players, it's going to be though to get all switches stay the same by the time you arrive at the pod.

The board game itself was intended to be fun. It had items like "Lite saber" (100% fat free) and a bat-gun...

The characters themselves had cool tricks too. Chunky could create polips, damaging himself and creating an organic thing that would explode in acid when someone else would come close to it. The "Rats" had the ability to split up, splitting their HP and damage but allowing them to move as 2 "units".

When a unit died, he had to stay a while in the Biopod, which would regenerate the unit until he was at full health or wanted to leave the pod. There was also a way to terminate the biological process, making death permanent...

If security cameras, droid security (that puts you into jail), changing gravity, turning all power off (dimmed lights) and even opening an airlock (sucking units into space) would be implemented in such a map, I'm sure this could become quite fun. Later on, more items could be added and perhaps stuff like casino's, (gambling for items, anyone?) , Chillroom (actually the place where the freezers are) etc.

Many things would have to be triggered (such as security cameras that temporarily give you a view on a room), A good space terrain would be welcome (could be hard since it's space, and would possibly require some custom doodads), ...

It's just a concept, nothing more. It would be a multiplayer adventure / strategy game. Also, I haven't seen anything to similar to this yet. Perhaps it's just me :)

We should make a TFT Orc Campaign style RPG. I really like single player RPGs because then I can save, as opposed to using a code and they are more fun in my opinion. If we could make something as good or better than "When Freedom Slips Away" that woiuld be freakin' awesome. We just have to be careful that we don't make a "me too" map. We should never release a n00b map. We must always add somethig new/different to make all our maps unique.

EDIT: THE_END, Eleandor's (finally got it right) idea doesn't have to be space theme. We could make it any theme. I like the idea. A lot of players may make the game too hard, and we can always make new characters to fill the empty slots.

Would be nice. In fact, I'm working on a kewl physics engine right now, which we could easily implement into that map.

I'll try to make a general projectile system for all maps needing triggered projectiles. That would help us all very much.

Look, as I said before the best thing would be to create a small map, that won't take a whole heap of time to complete, and will get our name out there. Its no good starting off with a huge project, that chances are will never get completed.

So I say we should forgot about RPG's and Campaigns for now, and focus on a mini-game or TD or something.

A game called "Blitzkrieg Bop". The song ("Blitzkrieg Bop" is a song in case you don't know) starts at the same time as the map. By the end of the song, whoever has the most kills wins.

Map things:
-Everyone has 1 health
-Everyone has evasion 50%
-Every attack that hits kills
-No items
-No hero abilities

This game is all about being short and fun.

EDIT: More name ideas: "Pit Lords", "Doomed Shuffle Board", "Gemstone Productions", "Embodiment of Awesome", "</war>", "Mechanised Monkey Bot", "Giant Flying Cheese Monkeys Anonymous", "*Dramatic Pause*"(This is an action, not spoken word.), "Extraplanar Retribution"... I have more. If you want them, I will be back on 2nd December, approx. 8pm AEST (Greenwhich mean time +11hours)

Aha!Hell yeah.Let it be ''Master Exploder''
Well, let's make a TD with mini games and other things.I'm in.

I have a really cool idea.

TD Orpg...Everytime you enter a dungeon or a event or whatever your hero transforms into a builder, and his abilitys are what he can make, and his ability's are upgradable if you have the gold.

Yes, I think most of us agree. While I do not tend to make you "warm" for one of the ideas I posted already, I think for example the space station idea is small enough while still having many possible extensions. In a certain way it's a mini-game, with the potential of growing into a big map.

Intentionally, I saw that concept as a space-themed map (as in: you're inside a station, there's security camera's; etc.) while still having many fantastic elements, mainly heroes like "pack of rats" or "Zombie" that have "less scientifical" abilities. It could ofcourse be transformed into a more fantasy oriented map. This could go from a gnomish laboratory with test animals that try to escape, to a giant spider lair with prisoners that need to escape before they get cocooned. I personally feel more for a space-theme because I think it fits the idea better though.

There is one thing I do find important though: it shouldn't be a "me too" map. If you decide the team should make a TD, you better come up with a good idea that would make this TD different from the others. By this I don't mean having more towers (although if they differ a lot that would be good too), but having a different way of playing it.
