This map is based on the fate franchise, about the story of seven masters
each summoning a heroic spirit as their servant in a fight to the death
battle royale to win the holy grail.
Players control two heroes, a master and a servant. The master is weak and
can be easily killed, thus leaving the servant to do all the fighting.
However the master must be the one to claim the grail so he cannot die.
The map is huge and servants vary in strength. One must play their
servant's strength and try to eliminate all other masters, whether by
building a stronghold, assassinating a master or allying to take down a
stronger opponent.
Features:
There are two main game modes.
Grail War mode is the master servant pairing fighting to win the grail.
Battle Royale mode allows the players to pick whatever servant they want and fight ffa in an arena. When the time limit is up, score will be calculated based on how well each player performed.
Note: For Grail War mode, the class system means the servants are classified into seven classes. Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Berserker, Assassin. For the use class submode, only one servant of each class can be summoned. For no class, there is no such restriction.
This map has a functional AI system. The enemy servants will seek out activity positions and attack, use spells, run away etc.
Misc features:
This map tries to accurately reflect the series in many aspects; terrain,
ability, system, music etc.
Other features include mana system, spirit system, mouse click based battle
system, master protection, citizen system, and many more. They are described in detail in the quest menu in game.

Author's notes:
This map was made for my own enjoyment. Spent way too much time on it.
It is also bilingual. Contains both chinese and english descriptions for everything. If you see empty spaces it's just the chinese words taking up space.
This is not an RPG. It's an Arena map. Please remove/replace the RPG tag.
Avoid playing music through the sound channel. Use the trigger that plays it through through the music channel.
Optional quests have no title. They're just ? with blank titles...
Big Images Are Actually better. However if you really need to reduce the Size, you must use a Photo editing Program.
The Terrain is fine, but can be decorated More.
Custom and Flashy spells are recommended and you used them. Good.
The Idea is good, a hero Arena and Defense and Aggro.
Well, who recommend ? I think saying 'Custom and Flashy spells are recommended because players like them' is maybe correct, but simply saying they are recommended, I think it might sound as if the moderators do so.
Anyways, off-topic.
I am going to check this map out, in case no moderator is faster than me.

Feedback:
- Map lags horrible, especially at initialization
- not every passive ability has a passive button ( 'Avalon' from Hercules for example)
- The game is newbie-unfriendly, since your are thrown into action, having hardly any explanation what to do
- The buildings miss any pathing blockers, one can simply walk through them
I agree with Ardenian's points but he missed the most important... green icons! There are green icons everywhere because you did not import the DISBTN of all icons (or you imported them incorrectly). This is against the rules so you must fix this.
In addition, the heroes are totally unbalanced. Some are very weak (the guy who summons rats and has passive skills for example), some destroy you with a spell (Caster for instance). I don't even understand who's the servant and who's the main hero in the battles because it is so confusing. The excessive use of the very flashy spells may cause unbearable lag in multiplayer so I suggest you reduce the effects to an acceptable value. If you really need to spam an effect, be sure it's a light one that can be handled without lagging issues.
Furthermore, keep in mind that if your hero starts at level 10, you need some time to get familiar with the hero but apparently you're immediately dropped in the action with 100 spells (servant spells + hero's spells + spell books for both) you have no clue what they do. I just spammed all of them on the enemy, hoping to achieve some result.
Finally, the map is set to needs fix.
good reviews guys. thank you all for trying the map.
-hercules doesnt have an avalon skill so im not sure what that is.
-buildings are meant to be walked through
-ah, the green icons.. removing them are for a more.. polished map. its just too much work getting disabled icon for all of them.
-the heroes by design are very unbalanced. alliances are needed but then again i dont know how that works out in multiplayer.
i did this all on my own and never did any testing for multiplayer so im not really sure how it pans out for online gameplay or new players.
but since there isnt a lot of people left to play this anyways, this was mostly just for my own entertainment. I just posted it in case some other fate fan find this enjoyable.
I don't know man, I really like the map, and its not too "newbie-unfriendly" like the other guy said, there are enough hints in f9 and the rest can be learned from looking at your spells.
Maybe I confused the hero, but on hero or summoned hero had a passive skill called sth with 'Avalon' which had an active button.
If you don't want to polish your own map, then this is the wrong place for your map. Hiveworkshop is meant to be a place for users wanting to work on and to improve their skills and their maps, we are not epicwar or other sites who simply accept everything.

'The other guy' still think it is. There is no time to look in the quest log and having tons of spells requires a lot of playing to actually learn how to properly use them.
ohhh i think i missed something on how hive works lol. i thought u just upload and it goes through. my bad.
I guess i didnt realize it gets approved due to polished-ness. I thought that as long as its a decent map it should get approved. especially in a declining state as war3 is.
If you look at my other map that was approved.. that one was a much simpler, much worse map, but somehow it was approved. There were no custom icons, little to no trigger and custom spells and a even more bland terrain.
The map certainly has its flaws but it is a working map with plenty of features for people interested in this to play with. I have worked hard on, and improved my skills a lot while making on the map, isnt that what hive is looking for?
I no longer has the time to edit this further, but i wish to share it with the few who might wish to play something like this.
The map is playable, just not noob friendly. In my mind it is marketed towards a very specific crowed. specifically those that watch the show and should already know most skills and how they work.
Let's not forget the lag! People cannot play your game in multiplayer if it lags heavily, which is another reason this is needs fix. While the noob-unfriendly thing may be solved by playing the map a lot (though not all people will do that), the lag and green icons cannot without appropriate updates. Don't forget that extreme unbalance is unappreciated. If you get a crappy hero, it will be very boring to play because you just can't touch other players.
Err, Servant spells are rather straight forward, and you can hide in buildings to get time to read f9, really not a issue, just because you can't even figure out how to avoid other players by hiding, doesn't mean its 'newbie-unfriendly' to everyone. Plus the people I play with + me don't experience any lag, so I don't know what to tell ya.
Set to Pending for remoderation due to it having been updated and author calling for another glance. EDIT:
This is mostly an Arena map, not quite an RPG.
Avoid playing music through the sound channel. Use the trigger that plays it through through the music channel.
Optional quests have no title. They're just ? with blank titles. There is text when clicking on them (their description).
Please credit the games and companies from which the icons, models, music etc. were ripped from (map thread description).
Passive abilities should have passive looking icons. Gawain's Skillful Swords is a passive ability with an active icon. You could make the icon look passive with this: Button Manager v1.8.2
Spells and mostly everything should have proper descriptions: values (damage, life, chance etc.) and what they do. For instance Blade of the Devoted's description is lacking. Tooltip Tutorial Creating Good Descriptions
A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
